Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Digidreams Do Come True! ❯ Epilogue ( Chapter 35 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Hello everyone. This is officially the last chapter of this story. I hope you don’t mind this particular format and rendition change. For the Digimon fics that I write, I usually use the “dialogue” method to have stuff explained by the actual Digimon, since I’m not literally showing what they’re mentioning. I used to open the fics that way too, as an attempt to get a bit of a comedic effect, but I pass on that now.

Anyway, as always, I do not own anything dealing with Digimon and never will.

Epilogue: Recaps...

Tentomon: Hi everyone. We Digimon are here located in front of my luxurious tree house to inform you of a few things, like how I’m really the star of this entire fic.

Tailmon: (Groans in annoyance) Don’t you start that up again, Tentomon! We’re here to welcome our new Digimon friend, Chou, and we’re here to let the readers know what happened to the children.

Betamon: Yeah, like what happened to Michael and Mimi when they made it back home.

Palmon: Can I explain this one?

Gabumon: Sure, go ahead.

All of the Digimon stepped aside to let Palmon speak.

Palmon: (Clears her throat) Since the human world and our world was in-sync with each other, that meant that Mimi-chan was gone just as long as the others back in Odaiba. When her parents awoke the next morning, they realized she was missing when she didn’t come down for breakfast. They called the police.

Betamon: They called Michael since he was the last person she was with, but they couldn’t reach him either and was no place to be found.

Palmon: When Mimi finally got back, Michael was waiting for her, but right at that moment, her papa walked in. The two were in a suggestive position after she came back through the gate. She ended up tripping after getting out of it, and falling on Michael. They explained the entire situation to them, about how they’d been stuck in the Digital World.

Tentomon: Too bad he didn’t believe them entirely, since the only thing he was seeing, was what looked to be a very suggestive situation, but good thing my Koushirou-han took care of that.

Betamon: He sent Mimi an e-mail, and in the e-mail, he was going on a bit about everything they had just gone through, and his progress so far about the gates, with the help of Miyako.

Hawkmon: (Grumbles) Too bad he didn’t actually have her help him…

Palmon: That got both off of the hook, and out of trouble...

Betamon: ...but Mr. Tachikawa gave Michael a very threatening, “Don’t you dare try anything with my baby girl” look, and rushed home.

Hawkmon: The parents of Meihui-san are still a bit perturbed out over all that happened, since they know nothing of the Digital World.

Tentomon: Hey, speaking of Meihui-han, she seems to no longer have a strong crush on Koushirou-han.

Gabumon: Seems she just really likes him as a friend, and Koushirou was one of the first people who helped her when transferring to the school. She just had a really strong respect for him, seemingly, and I guess this was confused with romantic affection; well, to the extent that it was. She probably does still like him a bit, but she doesn’t seem to act incredibly jealous over him, like in the beginning. She’s also become good friends with Miyako.

Wormmon: My Ken-chan has a date with Miyako! He’s now very happy, especially since the two are a couple now!

Armadimon: Kenyako (Ken x Miyako) was intended to be the coupling for this fic from the very beginning, so sorry to all of the disappointed Kouyako (Koushirou x Miyako) and Kensuke fans out there, d’gya.

Wormmon: Kensuke?

Hawkmon: Ken x Daisuke

Wormmon: (Gets a disturbed look on his bug-like face)

Gabumon: RP is a partial Kensuke fan, surprisingly…or was that Daiken...

Patamon: Calm down, Wormmon; at least RP isn’t a, (laughs) Takeru x Ken fan.

All of the other Digimon began to whistle innocently, while Palmon and Piyomon took a sudden interest in Tentomon’s sunroof. Patamon’s look was equivalent to that of Wormmon’s.

Agumon: Getting off of that subject, Taichi seems to still like Sora, but Sora is still dating Yamato. I wonder if it’s going to last.

Piyomon: I’m wondering too, especially since Sora, right now, is a bit confused since she’s now realizing - due to her time in the Digital World for this fic - that she just may have unresolved feelings for Taichi, but she still cares about Yamato a lot.

Gomamon: Oh, as for the tennis match, it was forfeited to a later date, and Sora won with a really impressive score and performance!

Gabumon: Did we forget anyone or anything?

V-mon: My Daisuke and Hikari got the chance to have a day hanging out together, like she promised. They had a lot of fun, and it helped their friendship a lot.

Patamon: What about Takeru?

V-mon: What about him?

Patamon: I’m just curious if anything else has happened with him.

V-mon: No, it’s the same old thing, but he seems to be a bit jealous since Hikari’s been hanging around Daisuke a lot. Hard to believe, isn’t it?

Chou: That’s an interesting set up.

Patamon: I thought RP liked Takari.

V-mon: I thought she liked Daikari.

Hawkmon: To steer clear of the raging fans, she avoids both pairings as much as possible! She’s a bit impartial to both, actually.

V-mon/Patamon: Oh...

Gomamon: Jou finally managed to get together with Malissa. He let it slip that he liked her and she pretty much confessed that she did too. He was also glad that he waited, like Koushirou, surprisingly, suggested.

Tentomon: That’s my Koushirou-han!

Chou: I think that’s all...oh! My new partner and Iori-san! The two are very good friends now. Iori-san also talked to his mother about his father, and he now feels more at peace.

Armadimon: (Pulls out an electric guitar from out of no-place, and begins to play it) What about that show that the Teen-Age Wolves were a part of, d’gya?

Tailmon: (Walks up and grabs the guitar from Armadimon) Quit it with that noise!

Armadimon: (Whimpers) Aww...

Betamon: The concert, like Hikari said, was rescheduled for that next Saturday.

Chou: They didn’t get picked up by Avex Trax like they’d hoped, but they are going to keep on trying. Even though they prefer Avex, they’re going to try to get on Sony’s label. Who knows what the future holds for them.

Hawkmon: Don’t they know real talent when they hear it!

Tentomon: Okay, fellow Digimon, is there anything else that we need to go over?

Wormmon: Yeah, fic cuts.

Patamon: Fic cuts?

Wormmon: Stuff that wasn’t originally supposed to be in this story or stuff that was left out.

Palmon: I’ll start!

Betamon: And I’ll help since we’re starting with Michael and Mimi anyway.

Palmon: Originally, the stuff dealing with the crests wasn’t a part of the dream, and their original ages for this story were younger. The dream didn’t take place two years after Digimon Adventure 02; it was 02.

Betamon: Originally, Michael was never found, and my character wasn’t apart of the dream.

Palmon: Neither was I. When Mimi and Koushirou went to the factory, they only found Tentomon.

Tentomon: In the original dream, Miyako-han had a crush on Koushirou-han. Due to all of the Kenyako fans who inspired her, RP-han changed that so that it’d be one-sided Kouyako from the side of Koushirou-han. That’s something else that wasn’t originally in the dream, Kenyako hinting.

Hawkmon: She also wanted Ken-san in this story somehow.

Wormmon: Ken-chan wasn’t in her dream originally, and neither was I. If RP hadn’t put in Ken-chan, this probably would’ve ended with Kouyako.

Chou: I wasn’t originally in the dream, and neither were Gennai-san, Angellina-san, or Swanmon. The villains for this story that you read about, weren’t in it either.

Piyomon: The side-story dealing with the love triangle between Yamato, Sora, and Taichi, wasn’t in her dream. Originally, Sora was dating neither Yamato nor Taichi. RP just let her imagination run wild since she knew the two were officially a pair anyway.

Tailmon: The basic plot of this story was pretty much the same as the dream (the prophecy), and was expanded upon, but everything else she made up as she went along, which includes the stuff about the Holy Beast Guardians, and the information about the Original Five.

Chou: Eiji-san and Meihui-san weren’t in her dream either, and neither were the families or friends of the Chosen Children. How Iori-san got to the Digital World was a blur to RP, as she couldn’t remember that part of her dream, so she made it up. The only thing she did recall was that he did end up running into Armadimon in a snowy climate.

Betamon: She only put in Gomamon and me to have an excuse to have Armadimon in the area, since it wouldn’t have made much sense for him to be there by himself. He’s more suited for dry, warm climate.

Gomamon: I think we’ve said as much as we could.

Armadimon: No wait! I just remembered something, degaya.

Patamon: What did you remember?

Armadimon: It’s the way everyone was split up. For the dream, Miyako was split up with both Mimi and Koushirou, and Hawkmon wasn’t there. She was growing jealous because of how nice Mimi and Koushirou were getting along, d’gya.

Palmon: They were obliviously flirting with each other.

Hawkmon: Which made her even more bothered since she had feelings for Koushirou-san.

Gomamon: When Jou and Yamato were caught, the Digimon chasing them was pretty much unknown. RP just knew they were being chased, but didn’t dream - or either she just couldn’t remember - what kind it was, so she chose one off the top of her head.

V-mon: Sora and Piyomon never found Taichi and Agumon, and I wasn’t in the dream originally, and neither was Patamon.

Patamon: (Mutters) Talk about a messed up dream.

Tailmon: People do wake up you know, Patamon.

Gabumon: Wait, I wasn’t in her dream either, and neither was Gomamon.

Chou: So the only actual Digimon partners for her dream originally were: Agumon; Piyomon; Tailmon; Tentomon; Armadimon?

Palmon: Yeah, seems like it.

Betamon: Oh, I just thought of something else to add on!

Patamon: What?

Betamon: The evolutions. There weren’t any special ones.

Tailmon: There were none at all, actually.

Tentomon: That’s right, I forgot that myself. Now I’m pretty sure we’re done with everything.

Chou: If it’s not too much trouble, could we go a bit further into the future?

Gabumon: Yeah, like the children traveling to and from the Digital World.

Hawkmon: As it was mentioned earlier, Koushirou-san managed to figure out how to go to and from the Digital World, along with some help from Miyako-san later on, since he wanted to expand the radius of the gates. He figured out how to open up a gate to Mimi-san by himself, though. Anyway, they both figured that it would easier to use the computers again, so that each of them could open up a gate anytime he or she pleases. A gate will always be accessible for them to travel through. Miyako-san made up a list and sent each child coordinates to different parts of the Digital World; all they have to do is input the information themselves.

V-mon: Because of that, any type of Digivice should work to unlock them, but as Gennai said, the gate will always lock once they go through them.

Palmon: Since traveling to the Digital World is pretty much allowed again, Koushirou and Mimi-chan found some way to visit the Digital World almost every day, even with the big time difference. They would mange to spend at least an hour a day with each other, and on Saturdays they would spend even more time together.

Piyomon: (Scratches her feathery head) What happened with those two anyway?

Armadimon: (Points a few trees down) Why not take a look for yourself, d’gya.

Sitting underneath a tree near by, were Koushirou and Mimi. Mimi was holding onto Koushirou’s arm, while both were talking animatedly over something. This made Tentomon very happy. He liked the fact that his human partner had really learned to interact with other people, and had even managed to get a girlfriend.

Gomamon: So she snuck Koumi (Koushirou x Mimi) in here after all!

Wormmon: With no chances of Kouyako, of course! It was bound to happen. If there’s no Kouyako, she uses Koumi, since she’s a big fanatic of the pairing.

Tailmon: I can’t figure out why.

Piyomon: It’s a cute pair, you have to admit.

Tailmon: (Shrugs) I guess so.

Betamon: But what about Michael? I though she liked Michimi (Michael x Mimi).

Palmon: She does. Don’t you all know that RP likes a lot of pairings? She likes Mimi-chan paired with Koushirou best out of all of them. The other two characters she likes paired with her a lot, where it’s mutual, are Jou and Michael. She doesn’t mind her paired up with Yamato, but she likes it better one-sided and angsty from Yamato’s side.

Agumon: Can we drop that boring subject, please?

Piyomon: Alright, alright. We’ll get off of that topic.

Agumon: Thank you!

Gomamon: Well, Koushirou did end up going back to see Gennai and Angellina. He questioned them about the orphan girl who was a part of their group. He also talked to his adoptive parents about his biological ones, and found out that he and his adoptive father were related. His real father and he were distant cousins, but not very close. As for Koushirou’s mother, neither knew much about her.

Gabumon: We find out from Gennai, that the one named Miki, was, ironically, the mother of Koushirou. She didn’t have any family, since she was an orphan. That also explained why no one on Koushirou’s mother’s side, could take him in after she died. Since he now knows more about his biological parents, and had some questions of his answered dealing with why he may act the way that he does, he’s a bit more content with the subject.

Tentomon: It’s really nice to see him happy for a change. He managed to get together romantically with Mimi-han, a major achievement for him, and he now has the information he’d always been seeking about his biological parents’ pasts. Though it’s monotonous, the mother of Koushirou-han having a Tentomon, it took a different evolutionary path than me. Instead of evolving to Kabuterimon, it evolved to Yanmamon.

Piyomon: But what about Eiji? Didn’t she have those weird symptoms after using that power of hers against Demon?

Chou: Oh yes, almost forgot about that. She, along with Iori-san, did return to the Digital World and also spoke with Gennai-san and Angellina-san. Gennai-san spoke with the Holy Beast Guardians about her symptoms, and even had Gennai-san examine her with the power from the Digicore to pinpoint any irregularities in her system, but it turned out negative. They did figure that it’s a miracle that she survived, and Angellina-san figured that if she’d used all of the crest powers at the same time for the sole purpose of powering up the Digimon and such, there’s the chance that she would have died. She didn’t tell her that entirely, though.

Wormmon: That sounds scary.

Hawkmon: Well, I think we’ve covered pretty much everything, and that wraps up this story.

Patamon: But what about everything going on with Sora and Taichi and Yamato?

Hawkmon: We shall leave that up to the imaginations of the readers. Let them decide on what happens, unless RP-san writes a sequel. Let the imaginations of the readers go wild, whether it’s Taito, Yamora, or Taiora.

Agumon: I get what Yamora and Taiora are, but what’s Taito?

Chou: Taichi x Yamato...

Agumon and Gabumon both twitched at the disturbing thought.

Chou: (Grins nervously) It seems that RP is a mild fan of that as well.

Hawkmon: My fellow Digimon, it’s time to end this now.

Betamon: Sounds good to me. After all we did for this fic, we deserve a rest.

Tentomon: Everyone, this is the end. We thank you for reading, but it’s now time for us to go back to my condo for my big party!

Piyomon: Alright! I’m glad you managed to get the place rebuilt. It’s even bigger than before and you even managed to have a pool and Jacuzzi put in! Too bad about this place still being too small for an artificial onsen (hot spring).

Tailmon: I have dibs on the Jacuzzi. My muscles are so sore. A dip in there should relax me immensely.

Piyomon: An onsen would too…

Hawkmon: Don’t no one touch the drinks! They’re mine! I have reserved a seat at the bar!!

Patamon/Armadimon/Wormmon: TV! TV! TV!

Agumon: (Drools like Homer Simpson) Yum...imported foods...

Palmon: Tentomon, do we have to take the steps up? I’m still tired from the battles we just had as Rosemon and Hercules Kabuterimon, even if it was a good while ago. Even my vines are aching too much to Poison Ivy myself up there.

Tentomon: Not to worry. I had an elevator put in since the children will be visiting more now. We can use that.

Palmon: Good!

V-mon: Ne, Tentomon, is there going to be a musical act?

Tentomon: Of course!

V-mon: Who’s playing?

Gabumon: A couple of very special Digimon; Gotsumon and Pumpmon. They’re going to be performing a hit of theirs, Let’s Gotsumon, Pumpmon!

Patamon: Isn’t it nice how they were brought back; well, for RP’s sake since she really liked those two.

Gabumon: She likes that song a lot too.

Piyomon: (Half-way up the steps) Let’s Part-tay!

All of the Digimon ran off towards the elevator (or took the steps) up into Tentomon’s “Tree-condo”, to relax and enjoy the festivities.

Tentomon: Well, good night all, and I hoped you really enjoyed this story based on a strange dream RP-han had. Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time for me to join the others. (Shouts up at the others) Don’t let Hawkmon drink all of my alcoholic beverages and make sure he doesn’t raid my liquor cabinet again!!

Tentomon flew off to join the others, and to keep things under control, which mainly consisted of keeping Hawkmon from drinking too much, and breaking up a fight between Betamon and Gomamon, who were trying to out sing one another on the karaoke machine...

Owari! (The End)

Wow, 35 chapters! This has got to be some kind of a personal record for me.

Now, I know some of you all are wondering about the Hawkmon thing. Well, for some oddball reason, I just can’t resist it. I really can’t explain it. I just find it amusing to have the supposed sophisticated one of the newer group, really into “alcohol” becoming the total opposite.

I really thank you all for reading this story, and for reviewing. I truly appreciated it and the criticism. Oh, and I really owe a big thanks to “The Pro”. “Why,” you all ask? If it weren’t for his reviews, I would have never thought of using Demon for this fic at all. I was beginning to get a Writer’s Block until he mentioned Demon in one of his reviews. Thank you for the inspiration; it was highly appreciated. ^_^

Another thanks goes out to those at the jpopmusic forums, who helped me with a couple of titles, but not as much as onkeikun of the DATS message board (for those who watch Digimon Savers, she’s one of the main translators of that subbing group). She helped me a lot with my title corrections. Thanks again, onkeikun! Oh, and for the titles that did turn out wrong…I didn’t have help with those. lol

Well, there’s no more damage that can be done here, so I’ll leave you readers be, and once again, thank you for reading. If you’re lucky, you just may get a sequel. (winks)
