Saga II: Aria's Heart

Setup: Aria, Piccolo and Kim's daughter, has been sent to another dimension, by the Lord of Darkeness' evil henchman, Nexxus. Nexxus was the only one who could bring her back. Now it is up to Aria to return and defeat the Lord of Darkness. Can Aria survive in this strange dimension of magic and mayhem?

Act XIII: Emotional Confusion



Scene I: The Piccolo household

A calm family dinner... Piccolo sits across from his wife and looks lovingly at her as he sips his glass of water. Beside him is his daughter who is happily drinking her water. Across from Aria is Zelgadis who is nursing a cup of tea. Kim is chowing down on plate after plate of food. Xellos sits beside her, setting the plates for her. He eats nothing.

Aria: Uh, mom, you okay? I haven't seen you eat like this.

Piccolo: It's month three. She won't stop for another two plates.

Aria: Oh... she's going to get fat.

Piccolo: {looks at Aria, in horror} You didn't just say that...

Kim: {glares at Aria} I AM NOT FAT! {throws a plate that nearly hits Aria}

Piccolo: Never say that word again, Aria.

Aria: {gulps} Mom's scary when she's pregnant.

Xellos: At least she eats politely.

Aria: What is today?

Kim: The day Goten usually comes over why?

Aria: He hasn't been here the past couple months... I have to go change! {runs to her room}

Zelgadis: I am assuming the energy I feel heading this way is Goten.

Piccolo: Yes, which means Aria won't be joining our training session.

Xellos: You're jealous!

Kim: Aria has always had a childish crush on Goten... she idelizes the boy. It's nothing to worry about. Goten has a girlfriend he cares for very much.

Piccolo: Are you finished eating? (Finally!)

Kim: I heard that... but yes. This boy needs alotta food. He's probably going to be very strong.

Zelgadis: Are you sure I don't have to worry about that. {points to Aria}

Aria is wearing short shorts and a tube top. She has her hair in a tight high ponytail. She applied red lipstick to her lips.

Piccolo: Just what are you wearing, Aria?

Kim: Let her wear what she wants.

Aria: Thank you mother.

Piccolo: (Thank goodness this kid is going to be a boy, finally I won't be outnumbered.)

Xellos: You look exceptionally beautiful, today, Aria. Doesn't she, Zelgadis?

Zelgadis: Yes... she does.

Aria: {blushes} Thank you!

Xellos: Oh! Look at the time. {looks at his wrist... no watch} I have to go!

Aria: Another date? When are we going to meet this mysterious girl?

Xellos: {smiles} That's a secret. {disappears}

Aria: Goten's here! {runs outside just as he lands}

Zelgadis: {rests his head in his hands} What am I going to do?

Piccolo: Train. {stands} Remember Goten has a girlfriend of his own. He is not interested in Aria.

Zelgadis: If you say so. {stands}

Kim: Aria cares for you, deeply. She wouldn't hurt you.

Piccolo: Will you be alright here alone?

Kim: Well, Vegeta is coming in a bit.

Piccolo: Fine. Come, Zel.

Zelgadis: Yes, sir.

Piccolo and Zelgadis instant transmission to their training grounds.




Scene II: Commercial Break

A candy bar lies on the table and a pinks hand surrounds it. The camera zooms out to show Buu holding the candy bar.

Buu: Do you like candy? Buu like candy.

Buu eats the chocolate bar in one bite.

Buu: Especially Hershey chocolate bars.

Hershey chocolate logo pops up.

Random Announcer: Buu likes our chocolate. Our chocolate changed him. Now he no longer eats people chocolate. He only eats Hershey chocolate.

And four words pop up. Can it change you?




Scene III: Goten and Aria... outside the Piccolo household.


Goten smiles at his childhood friend. Aria runs up and hugs him.

Goten: I'm sorry I haven't been around the past two months.

Aria: That's okay. You are here now.

Goten: Yeah and I won't miss another day.

Aria: Why weren't you here?

Goten: She wouldn't let me.

Aria: Who?

Goten: My girlfriend.

Aria: Why?

Goten: Because she said it wasn't right.

Aria: Goten, what happened?

Goten: I broke up with her because she said I couldn't go again and she called you names.

Aria: Oh... I'm sorry Goten. You shouldn't have done that just because of me.

Goten: You're my best friend. She had no right to say such things and it made me see her for who she really was. And who you were to me.

Aria: Well, I'm glad.

Goten: I came... to tell you...

Aria: Yes?

Goten: I love you.

Aria: Well I knew that silly. Best friends love each other. We've known each other for years.

Goten: I don't mean it that way.

Aria: Then what way?

Goten: The way my mother loves my father.

Aria: Oh... but Goten, you never felt that way before!

Goten: I always have it's just that I never knew it until she suspected me of it.

Aria: Uh... but I... have a boyfriend.

Goten: You do? {lowers his head}

Aria: Yes... Zelgadis.

Goten: So you don't feel the same for me?

Aria: I do... but I love Zelgadis, too.

Goten: Does he love you? Is he good to you?

Aria: I guess so.

Goten: I'll do anything for you. {takes her hand and gets on his knees}

Aria: {blushes} That's sweet but I can't just dump Zelgadis.

Goten: I understand.

Aria: I'm just so confused, now. It was simple when I just had a crush on you.

Goten: {stands and embraces her} I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told you. I should have found out first that you already had someone.

Aria: I need to think.

Goten: {kisses her sweetly on the lips} I'm sorry. {flies away}

Vegeta lands.

Vegeta: I thought you were going out with stoney.

Aria: Uncle... {eyes watering}

Vegeta: What is it?

Aria: He loves me. {runs to Vegeta and cries on his shoulder}

Vegeta: Goten? I was wondering when this would happen. {pats her back} Let's go see your mother.

Aria: No. I need to figure this out on my own. {flies off}

Vegeta: This is bad. {goes inside}




Scene III: Kim and Vegeta... Inside the house


Vegeta walks in and notices Kim is in the middle of the living room, meditating.

Vegeta: Kimberly.

Kim: {opens eyes} Oh... gosh. I didn't feel you or hear you.

Vegeta: Deep meditation?

Kim: Yes.

Vegeta: {sits beside her} Goten was kissing Aria.

Kim: What? You must be mistaken! He has a girlfriend!

Vegeta: I heard Bulma talking to Kakarott's mate. Apparently Goten broke up with his girlfriend today.

Kim: Why? He never showed interest in Aria before!

Vegeta: Aria was a child then. Now, she's all grown up.

Kim: Where are they?

Vegeta: Goten flew off when I landed and Aria went a different direction after she told me Goten loved her. She wants to figure it out on her own.

Kim: This couldn't be a worse situation.

Vegeta: Sounds like you. You had several suitors and so does your daughter.

Kim: Yes, but I knew who I loved... through everything I knew who I loved.

Vegeta: Well in her heart she does too. She just has to reach it.

Kim: It will be tough.

Vegeta: Yes, she is confronted with whether her crush was truly love or whether it was just friendship. It's harder when you are so close to someone.

Kim: It's up to Aria to choose. I will not sway her one way.

Vegeta: How's the kid?

Kim: {rubs her belly} He's a fighter I can tell.

Vegeta: A little warrior. Probably going to be just like his father.

Kim: I'm sure he will.

Vegeta: Have you thought of a name?

Kim: I'm still trying to decide. Would you mind getting me some water?

Vegeta: Not at all. {goes and gets water}

Kim: Thank you.

Vegeta: Where is the annoying one who smiles too much?

Kim: Xellos went out on another date with his mysterious girlfriend.

Vegeta: Oh. I see.

Kim: I feel so tired.

Vegeta: {picks her up in his arms and lays her on the couch} I'll watch you until Piccolo returns.

Kim: Thank you.

NEXT: Aria tries to figure out just who she loves. Zelgadis decides he will fight for his love if he must. Will Goten and Zelgadis clash and just who the hell would date Xellos?
