Chapter 6: The Wedding Day

***Author's note: I totally apologize for the other chapters sucking,
this isn't gonna be much better. And also for my totally babbling on
the top of each chapter, it's just my way of wasting time before I
have to write. I mean I wanna be a writer but I'm no good. But I think
it was George Burns who said, "I'd rather be a failure at something I
love then a success at something I hate." I dunno I thought I'd share
that who's psychotic enough to actually read this.*

Cloud knew he was bound to be late as he arrived in Mako it was
already 2:45 p.m. He dashed down streets looking for a church because
it never mentioned which church on the invitation. `FUCK! Where is
it?' screamed his mind. He began to sprint and stopped when he saw a
brown cross in neon lights and "First Mako Church" in neon red lights
and a yellow hallow over `F'. `That's tacky, but it's worth a shot.'
Cloud though. Quietly he stepped in. It was the right one because
there stood Mason on the altar. Apparently it hadn't started. `So much
for promptly.' A short blonde haired usher approached him.

"Bride or groom sir?" smiled the usher.

"I'll seat myself thanks." Cloud said coldly.

Cloud sat on the last row in the middle next to a weeping red-orange
haired woman with green eyes in a short, black, satin, dress.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please take you seats the bride's finally here
and we're ready to get this shindig started." announced mason. There
were chuckles from the audience. The music began and down the aisle
promenaded Barret with Tifa in a long white lacey dress that fit her
perfectly. Cloud got anxious to break up the wedding he wanted to hold
Tifa in his arms and tell her how much he loved her. For five minutes,
Cloud sat, nervous and impatient.

"And know we ask if anyone here object to the union please let them
speak now or forever hold their peace..." boomed the priest. Cloud's
heart beat so hard, he thought it'd break his ribs.

"I-I-I-do!" shook Cloud nervously and stood up. A gasp fell over the
crowd. Tifa l turned and looked at Cloud's terrified face.

"Why, Cloud?" she asked. Now everyone faced him, he could feel his
face turn red as a drop of sweat pooled from his head.

"Because, because, I-I-I-I-I-l-l-lov..." Tifa knew what he was gonna
say but he was interrupted by the red-orange haired woman next to him.

"I LOVE YOU MASON." she blurted out.

"... Shirley?!" inquired Mason trying to look over and around the
people who were standing facing Cloud and now her in shock.

"Yes, I love you Mason, an' I always have. You left Wutai thinking I
didn't but I still do."

Cloud decided he didn't want all these strange people looking at him
and creep out the back.

***Author's note: I'm thinking about writing an alternate chapter 6
type thing where Cloud decides no to go to the wedding, cause this
version is kinda dumb.
