A Fruits Basket V-Day drabble

Here's my contribution to the mostly informal V-Day challenge. Sorry, no lemon (I'm saving that for the other 2 stories I'm working on), but a touch of angst and a hint of romance. Comments welcome. A Standard Disclaimer appears at the end of the story.
They say that as long as there's love, anything is possible.
"I want you to have these."
They say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
"Chocolates?"
"Hai."
"What are they for?"
"Baka."
They say that Valentine's Day is a day for lovers and special someones.
"It's Valentine's Day."
"I knew that. I meant...why?"
"Why?"
A nod.
"Shouldn't that be obvious, Yuki-kun?"
I've never been one for Valentine's Day. Opening my heart is too difficult. I'm afraid of getting hurt. But my brother told me that the only things of any worth in this life, are worth taking chances for. Maybe, just maybe, I thought this year might be different.
"Well...."
Now, I'm not so sure. Damn my brother and his silly words of wisdom. I should bop him over the head with a mallet.
"Arigato...Machi-san."
"Huh?"
"I'm sure you've spent a lot of time on these. I'll be sure to enjoy them all."
On second thought, I could hug him.
Could...but I won't.
Although, Yuki's smile is very much worth it.
I guess some chances are worth taking.
