A/N:Look! No Death for me! This story is back up and running... and I've gt brand new ideas
flooding in... so.. you can expect a better update for this in the (not so far!) future!

I started as something hit the roof beside me, shocking me away from the pleasent dream that I
had been having. You mean the dream where Yuki - I quickly stamped the voice in my head
down, I didn't need this right now.

Right then I had a horrible feeling that I needed to be somwhere.

That someone was in trouble.

And contrary to popular belief, I do care, it's just that I don't want to let it show and have it be
used against me. Yes, I am a cautious one.

I quickly stood and made my way down the ladder.

Leaving the book of lies on the roof.

A quick glance inside showed me that Tohru and Shigure were calmly seated at the table and
eating.

"Are you sure that we shouldn't go look for them?"

Tohru was going to get up when Shigure's hand on her arm stopped him, "Yuki often pulled
this before you came, although he did stop after you joined us... I'm sure they're both fine."

"What about Kyo?"

Shigure just chuckled.

I left the house as silently as I had entered, not really wanting to hear Shigure's explination. The
dog knew how my mind worked, and knew that I liked to keep it hidden from as many people
as possible. Often I would find myself just sitting in his office, and he would write as I would
keep him company. Often nothing would be said.. but he loves attention more than anyone...
and knows that I love it as well, no matter how much I hide it.

I shook myself to clear my head as I found myself in the small wooded area by our home. I
could almost smell him, and knew that he wasn't that far off at all.

When I found him, I could barely breathe.

He was leaning against a tree, and there was blood surrounding him. It covered the tree behind
him and the bushes that hugged close to his weakening body.

I almost wanted to cry.

He looked up at me and weakly smiled as I picked him up in my arms. "Hn... I must be farther
gone than I thought... You're not really Kyo... he'd leave me out here to die."

"Don't be stupid." I tried to move to the house as fast as I could, however light Yuki was, he still
slowed me down.

"I didn't mean to cut so much this time... but... he hates me."

Without looking down at his face, I knew that there was tears streaming down his beautiful face.

Yes, his face was beautiful, and yes I said that.

When I brought him back to the house, I made sure that I was as silent as I had been before.
Carefully setting him down and taking care of his wounds, I called Hatori.

After all, I had to make sure that he would be safe.

He had to be safe.

He had to be.
