Gundam Wing Fan Fiction / Fan Fiction ❯ One way ticket ❯ Chapter 7 ( Chapter 7 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

I'm really terrible sorry about how long it took to get this chapter out! To be honest, I think I've lost my muse *and* my time to write this, but I'll continue anyway - I promise. I think I'm too stubborn to stop, and hopefully, I'll get some ideas soon. Right now, I should be doing my French-homework, but I felt as if I had to start writing this. Once again, I'm terrible sorry!

Disclaimer: In the first chapter. If you feel need to read it for some unknown reason, go read it. I promise that it is very boring.

One way ticket - Part 7

"Next!" A guard called out, and the line of prisoners moved forward slightly.

Duo felt himself being roughly pushed forward, and he would have fallen on his

face if the guard in front of him hadn't caught him in time.

The guard didn't let go though, instead he took the opportunity to go through

the braided man's clothes. Duo had to stand still when the guard felt in his

pockets, looked in his mouth, the guard even un-braided his hair to see if he

could find anything dangerous, and he didn't bothered to braid it again

afterwards. It itched in Duo's fingers as he wished he had his hands free - he

really hated to be in public with his hair down. For some reason, it embarrassed

him. It was only Heero, and maybe one of the other pilots who had seen it down.

He succeeded in holding back his blush, but he still knew that he looked

slightly feminine with the thick chestnut mane un-braided - hell; people had

even mistaken him for being a girl sometimes with his hair braided! [1]

When the guard was finally finished with the visitation, Duo found himself being

led onto the plane by two guards, one on each side. He saw X-boy being led by

two other guards.

Duo looked around as they entered. The plane looked pretty much like the usual

transport-kind with thin seats clad in blue fabric - two by each window, then

four in a line in the middle. The only differences were that there were shackles

which would hold the hands by the armrests and the feet by the floor. At the

back of the plane there were also cages with the same kind of chairs inside. Duo

idly wondered who would be placed in there.

He was pushed down in the chair that, even if it looked comfortable enough, was

rather hard. He let out a pained "oof" at the pain in his rear. The shackles

were fastened around wrists and ankles, and the guards also tested if they were

properly shut. They seemed to be, because the guards soon went away, leaving him

to his own thoughts.

Beside him, X-boy was sat down. (Also `oofing'.)

Duo ginned towards the older man. "Ain't you a little too big for that chair??"

"It's all muscles, man. More than you can say about yourself." X-boy grimaced as

he spoke, and most of his yellowish teeth became visible in the ugly mien.

"It's strange that they keep such small chairs, look at most of us!"

Duo looked pointedly around in the plane at the prisoners, almost everyone

seemed to have problem with their chairs, and they all showed signs of

discomfort. "I think that they're just doing this `cause they enjoy seeing us in

pain!"

"Us? You're too damn small to feel `discomfort' in these chairs!"

Duo decided to shut up, and had to endure as X-boy laughed at him.

Inside, he couldn't help but feel a little thankful that his companion kept

talking about various things, because it took his mind off the bad forebodings

his brain had decided to plague him with.

He listened to the talk, and showed an idle façade as he saw Noin leading Bat

into one of the cages. He shivered inwardly as the blonde man looked straight at

him with expressionless grey eyes. Outwardly, though, he just grinned in

recognition.

"Maxwell?"

Duo snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the voice calling his name, and he

turned his head to look at X-boy again. "Yeah, what?"

"Who's the guy by the window?"

Duo followed his companion's glance towards a man with black spiky hair. He was

sitting by the window, glancing out over the airport. He didn't seem too

interested in talking with the man that was sitting beside him; Will - the man

that had flirted with Duo since they met. Duo didn't really blame the anonym

guy.

Suddenly, he realized that X-boy wanted an answer, and the best he could manage

was a slight shrug.

X-boy frowned. "It's strange that I don't recognize him, I mean - I know who all

the other guys are, but he is new to me."

"What makes you think that I would recognize him?"

"Just thought he might be from where you were before coming to Sank."

Duo frowned as he concentrated on remembering what he had told X-boy when

explaining where he was from. Unfortunately, he didn't remember so he just

shrugged as an answer, instead of saying something that could give him

consequences.

"Hi babe."

Noin ignored the man who was sitting, restrained to a chair by a window.

Instead of answering him with a snide remark, she began discussing the weather

with a fellow guard, not that she was interested, but she didn't really want to

converse with the prisoners. She felt how the prisoner in question was looking

at her, the glare felt as if it burned on her back, and she could barely avoid

glaring back. Heero Yuy in person had helped her develop a perfect death glare

for moments like this.

"You look like my fourth."

Fourth? Noin blinked without understanding the statement, but she felt a small

spark of terrible foreboding..

"She didn't scream at first, but she did when I forced her to."

Realization crashed down on the ex. Soldier, now Preventer Fire, and she felt

anger, strong enough to make her blood boil in her veins. Only her common sense

held her back as she longed to hit the man sitting near to her.

"Gag him!" She ordered in a strained voice, and she watched as other guards did

as she said.

^^^^^^^

Duo and X-boy watched as a prisoner was gagged, and the `inner Duo' smiled, Noin

seemed to be the same as always. He had never met the prisoner in question, but

his companion explained soon enough anyway.

"That was Q Stamper. Rape, murder, and fights."

It was the only thing Duo needed to hear, he already hated the man.

Suddenly, he felt himself being pulled backwards as the plane started, and he

stiffened for a moment.

Somewhere, back in the plane, someone mumbled. "It's foolish to get yourself

gagged, `cause then it's impossible to do something."

Duo really didn't want to know what that `something' was.

^^^^^^^^

Heero grumbled in annoyance as he hears his cell phone ring because he didn't

remember where it was at. After searching through his pockets, the small bag and

his backpack, he realized that it lay in the small hidden pocket in his jacket.

Grumbling even more about `various' things, he zipped the pocket open and took

the phone out. "Yes?"

Whoever it was, the person seemed slightly taken back because of the annoyed

tone in Heero's voice. It took a while before someone said anything. "Heero?" It

sounded like the person was driving a car as he spoke, because he could hear

muffled sounds from traffic in the background.

The bodyguard relaxed slightly. "Wufei? Is Duo okay?"

There was a snort before the Chinese boy answered. "Of course he is. I just

called to tell you that the plane just took off."

"Everything all right?"

"Yes, as I said seconds ago, of course."

"Well, fine then."

Neither of the men seemed to find anything more to say, and there was an

uncomfortable silence before Wufei spoke up again. "Well, bye."

Heero blinked, and then answered. "Bye."

Because of a strange habit of his, he didn't `hang up' immediately.

Instead, he waited until he could hear Wufei push the small button that would

stop their conversation. Unfortunately, it never happened - Wufei seemed to have

forgotten about it. Suddenly, he heard a muffled voice, which sounded

suspiciously like Sally, in the background.

"Well, that was a short conversation."

"Shut up, onna!"

A glint appeared in Heero's eyes, and he listened with interest. It was

Wufei who spoke first.

"That man is driving me insane!"

"Smith? Dunno, he's kinda fun."

"Fun?" Wufei's words sounded doubtful, very doubtful. Heero listened, and

wondered who Smith could be.

"Yeah, he showed me his tattoo-collection yesterday."

"Oh, did he have many?"

"Oh, yes! I especially liked the one with two heads."

"Two heads?"

It was quiet for a while, until Wufei, again, broke it.

"Where were his tattoos?"

A snicker. "You don't want to know."

Heero decided that it was time to hang up before Wufei realized that he had

overheard the conversation.

TBC..

[1] Hey, my mom *and* some friends of mine asked who the girl on the picture I used as a wallpaper on my computer were (I had a nice picture of Duo). People just see the braid and immediately assume that the person is a girl. Can't understand why, I mean - I've never mistaken an anime/manga-boy for being a girl, long hair or not..

Coxpomona: CoughcoughcoughKenshinfromRKcoughcoughcough..

Maaya: Shut up, he sounds like a girl too, mind you!

Coxpomona: You've mistaken girls for being boys too!

Maaya: *embarrassed* Caska from Berserk doesn't count! I just saw a pic of her. I never heard her voice!

^^^^^^^^

I'm slowly going crazy, slowly going crazy I am..God damn it! I have a toothache and it's driving me insane!

I'm also very sorry about the shortness of this part, I'm trying - really! Don't expect another chapter soon, I need to plan things and try to get my muse back!
