Chapter 4: Lakeside Trouble
Dexter: This is hopeless! He is not here!
Howdy: He is probably back at the clubhouse laughing his little butt off!
Cappy: Wrong again, Howdy….
(Cappy’s eyes glow blue and a hand made out water rises from the lake and grabs Dexter)
Dexter: WHAT THE…..?!
(The water hand pulls Dexter into the lake)
Dexter: Help! Howdy! HELP!
Howdy: Heke? This is no time for a swim, Dexter!
Dexter: THIS IS NOT THE TIME, HOWDY!
(Dexter goes under the water and rises back up, splashing like mad)
Howdy: Hold on Dexter!
(Howdy picks up a tree branch and runs over to the lake)
Howdy: Grab a hold of this, Dexter!
Dexter: I…..can’t….reach……it!
(Dexter goes underwater again. But this time, he doesn’t surface)
Howdy: Dexter!
(Howdy falls to his knees)
Howdy: *sniff* poor little guy….Heke?
(Dexter re-surfaces; he is now on a green shell that seems to be moving closer and closer to the shore)
Dexter: …….
(The green shell reaches the side of the lake and chucks Dexter on the grass and goes back underwater)
Howdy: Dexter!
(Howdy rushes over to Dexter and pushes down at his chest)
Howdy: Don’t die on me, Dexter!
Dexter: *Cough* *Cough* Cough*
(Dexter sits up)
Dexter: Howdy….you saved me?!
Howdy: It’s the least I could do for a friend.
Dexter: Thank you, Howdy….
Howdy: Aw, heck! Don’t get all mussy over me!
(Dexter and Howdy laugh)
Cappy: Ggggrrrrr! These caps are useless!
(Cappy throws the blue cap on the grass and storms off towards the Dark Circle castle)
Dexter: I think it’s time we reported back to the others.
(Dexter and Howdy return to the clubhouse)
Pashmina: Dexter? Why are you wet?
Howdy: He decided to go swimming in the lake, I guess he wanted to know if would float!
Dexter: That’s not true! A giant hand made out of water grabbed me and pulled me in the lake!
Ham-Ham: A giant hand?!
Bijou: The roses bushed came alive and tried to kill me but Boss saved me!
Maxwell: Hm…..water and plant life acting on its own? I have come to a conclusion. Either Cappy or Sparkle have been brainwashed and possess the power to control the environment around them. Sparkle or Cappy must have been hiding in a bush waiting for us to separate from each other before making the attack.
Penelope: Ookwee! Ookwee!
Pashmina: Hm? You think it might have been Cappy?
Penelope: *nods* Ookwee!
Boss: It can’t be Cappy…..the little guy worshipps me! There is no way he will try and kill Bijou and Dexter!
Maxwell: That may not be Cappy, It may have been Sparkle. We’ll know next time.
