[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Hey guys, my first...very sad attempt at InuYasha Yaoi. *Sighs* damn, I've progressed, at least I think so. Uh, don't own, really wish I did, but I don't. See *holds up contract* So, no suing! *hides behind g/f*

Don't hurt me.

This is a very cheap, lame attempt at angst and a deathfic, so, no flames, any flames will be used to reforge Tetseugia and then InuYasha will use Kaze no Kizu on your ass, 'kay?

Reminder: DEATHFIC and YAOI, no likey, no ready, last chance to turn back, see the button at the top of the screen that says back? If this bothers you, click on it.

Sigh, see you at the bottom, and on with the fic!

InuYasha leaned against the wall of dirt, his face was smudged with dirt, blood and demon, his hand was pressed to a deep, potentially fatal wound in his chest as he struggled for even breaths and clear vision. He removed his hand and winced in the burning pain of the posion that was now permeating his systems. He only had half of a hour left until sunrise, then he would become half-demon again, but he could not heal like this, as a human. His free hand grasped the hilt of the Tetseugia, which lay across his lap, now deminished in size and soiled with black blood and the deadly, painful venom of the snake demon he had faced. He prayed that no Youkai would catch wind of his scent and in his wounded condition he was in no shape to fight them off, he just needed some time, time that was preciously ticking away as his red blood trickled through his fingers as it gushed out of the wound. His left leg was ebbing in feeling as it was slowly attacked by the poison and went completely cold and numb, he feared to lift the leg of his fire rat pants, for fear that his skin was a ghastly shade of green or purple, so he simply struggled for a breath and took another moment's span to live and grunted as he shifted to get a better, more comfortable postion. He was now alone, no one was left, since nearly a century had passed in what seemed to be a change of the wind, there was no Kagome, Sango, and worst of all, his koi was gone, there was no Miroku, as he sat in the monk's grave. His eyes slid shut and he was stuck, what was that saying Kagome once told him, when a human died, their life flashed before their eyes, as their brain recalled the memories, something like that, he hoped the memories kind...

One day, too far back to recall, when everyone was still together as a pack, he had confessed his feelings to Miroku one night, he never regretted telling the monk his feelings, for they were returned, whole heartedly. He and Miroku and the gang had yet to face Naraku, Kagome, still young and spry quickly got used to the two men being together and got over her crush for the dog demon. But even before that, before he met anyone, when he was still a child, living with his father, mother and his half-brother Sesshoumaru. When he was no older than Kagome was when she and he first met, no

older than eighteen, when his true seething hatred towards his brother first reared it's ugly head. The day that his father had died, he was still shaken of the death of his mother who had died less than an year earlier, killed by a jealous Youkai, his father, the almighty Lord of the Western Lands had been slain in a war. Afterwards, Sesshoumaru, who stood proud as a fully grown demon, at the age of twenty six, had been forced to take care of the young pup and teach him how to cope and live on his own. But, the

stoic full demon was not used to he things his brother was accostumed to, such as human food. He simply remained on the sidelines, watching, as Inuyasha grew more violent, as he rebelled and began to fend for himself, using his superior strength and pushy ways to get what he wanted from as his older brother put it, mere mortals.

Inuyasha had convinced himself that Sesshoumaru had let their parents die, that he did nothing in their defense for he wished to rule over the Western Lands, which, of course, was untrue. Inuyasha had later learned that the older demon had faught viciously when Inuyasha's mother was under attack, he had tried his hardest and as a result of failure as he viewed it, he became distant and reflective and cold and heartless. As the years progressed, they moved further apart and Inuyasha began to fight demons, as a revenge for his parents and to take out the anger he held within for only being

half-demon, he caught word of a High Priestess and a Miko, known as Kikyo and saught her out, hoping to challange her and lose, he wished to die, for he was a useless half-breed, instead he had fallen in love. Ironic. After they had discovered about Naraku and he and his love had been pitted against each other, he had been pinned to a tree and placed under a sleeping curse that lasted fifty long years. Which had been broken by the Miko's reincarnation, Kagome. She freed him and the rest was history, he met Miroku along the way, the monk who had been cursed by Naraku, a terrible curse which haunted him and in the end became his demise, his Kazanna, his Wind Tunnel. A gaping void that had been placed in the palm of his right hand, first cursed was his grandfather, and would be passed down to every male until Naraku was finally killed.

They met Sango, the exterminator, who's family and friends had been killed by Naraku's evil henchmen, she and her firecat Kilala. So they journeyed, gathering the Shikon shards, pieces of a very powerful jewel that would grant power to the holder, Inuyasha wished to obtain it to become a full demon. They battled many evils, too many to name, to recall, even with his superb memory, Kaugra, Kanna, even his own brother, of course, above all, Naraku, their ultimate enemy. Along the way they faught

their own personal problems, love, hate, anger, they each carried a burden and a reason for their fight. Miroku and his curse, the many women he asked to bear his child, the stupid letcher. The many slaps to the face he recieved because of his questions. Shippo and his quest to be a man, the Kitsune annoyed the hell out of him, for most days he wished to do nothing other than beat him to ground. Kouga, fearless leader of the Wolf Tribe, his quest for Kagome, to replenish his lessing pack. Kohaku, his puppeting, a brother turned against a sister, he had never seen Sango fight with herself so much as when she was faced to fight Kohaku. Kagome, the girl from the future, who at first brought nothing but trouble, but later brought moral and much needed support, her ability to see the shards and her chipper moods always brought a smile.

But they were all gone now, they were all human, long gone, dead and ash. That had been over a century and the days remained fresh in his mind as if they occured moments before. His confession to Miroku, the love and happiness that followed, even only if for a few months. His truce with his brother and their slowly rebuilt trust and emotional bond. Kagome and her lover boy from the future, her later

husband and father of her children, and Sango, alone, always, but never seeming to mind. The fights deminished, the use of his prayer beads became obsolete, but they remained, for caution, it was what Kaede wished. The day she died was a sad one, an old Miko, one who meant so much to such a small group, after her death neither Kagome nor Shippo were ever the same. They had cremated her and spread her ashes beneath a Sakura tree, it was a small concession and an even smaller mourning period as the evil of Naraku grew closer. Kouga and Inuyasha had met truce, for the Wolf Demon and his Tribe came to their aid when they needed it most. Kagura and Kanna, they had grown stronger as Naraku did, the sorceress of the wind drew them into a nearly deadly trap, a mistake on her part, a mistake for which she paid her very existance, that fight was long and harsh, and it wished to stay in his mind and for Inuyasha to ponder upon.

The had approached a temple in which Naraku had resided now, Kagura was there to greet them, with her dance of the dead, the people who had previously resided in the temple. They had quickly slayed the small, simple pawns, and moved forward towards the inner temple. The closer they got to Naraku, the more pained Miroku grew, for his palm burned. Many of the Wolf Tribe had died, all with noble intentions and all under the instruction of their leader and his mate, Inuyasha's own brother, yes,

Sesshoumaru. When they finally faced Naraku, there were many exchanged blows, Sesshoumaru and Kouga both going to the full extent of their powers without losing control. Finally, somehow, Inuyasha had created the Windscar and with one, powered swipe sliced through it, using Red Tetseugia, defeating Naraku. They had celebrated that night, and the next three nights and days, Inuyasha had claimed Miroku as his mate for eternity, as did Kouga and Sesshoumaru. Kagome had brought many treats for them from her time, lollypops for Shippo, chips for Inuyasha, chocolate for both Miroku and Sango, and of course, the two full demons refused human food, but did accept an invitation to her time, as did everyone else. When they did return their good moods were quickly dampened as they caught word that Naraku had not been truly defeated.

After two more days they faced Naraku once more, and lost many. All but three of the Wolf Tribe, but those who had fallen: Kikyo, Jaken, Shippo, Rin and many villagers who volunteered to help. The battle was so simple, Naraku had slain the wolves with his bare hands, Jaken was killed by a henchmen, as were Shippo and Rin. Kikyo had fired her arrow, yet, by some magic, much like Kanna's mirror it was vaulted back at her and she had perished. Miroku, though suffering through extreme pain still faught, but feared use of the Wind Tunnel as many were around. The Tetseugia proved useless, it once fully transformed, grew burning hot and Inuyasha was unable to whield it, as did the Tensegia. Kouga killed many demons with his claws, fangs and sword, angered by the loss of many in his tribe. Kagome and Sango both feared use of their weapons, for a rebounding, much like Kikyo. Inuyasha had finally resorted to trying to rip Naraku apart along with his brother, but, alas it was unsuccessful. Miroku, struggling to stand, leaning heavily on his staff for support command everyone back, knowing what needed to be done and the sacrifice and risk involoved. Inuyasha protested but Miroku silenced him with a soft comforting smile, and a simple knowing look, he pressed a soft kiss to the Hanyou's forehead and then shoved him back.

Inuyasha watched in fear, horror, hope and awe and Miroku threw down his staff, though obviously in pain and in need of it for the support, he somehow remained standing strong and faced Naraku, then pointed at him, his expression was stone, "Naraku! You cursed my bloodline with this Wind Tunnel, passed down from father to son, I was forced to watch my father die, I will stand for it no longer! I no longer fear you, nor do I fear the power that lies within my right hand, I have accepted my fate, I do this now to seal yours! See how you like the curse you laid upon me!" He ripped the prayer beads off and clenched a fist as well as his jaw, bracing himself as he swung his arm out before him his eyes met Naraku's and then he gave a grim smile, "KAZZANA!" His palm flew wide and within seconds Naraku had vanished, but not before cursing the monk once more with his dying breath, Miroku's eyes clenched shut and he struggled against the power of growing Wind Tunnel. Inuyasha moved to run forward but Kagome stopped him, Miroku's head turned slightly and his blue eyes peeked out from under the unruly black hair. He gave a genuine smile, "Inu...yasha, aishiteru, my koi." He struggled against the pulling forces, struggling to speak, "this is my fate...as yours is to protect many, though our time may have been brief, it was more than I could ask for in a lifetime. I...shall wait for you, all of you, I love you all, goodbye."

That was it, he was gone after a brief second and loud howling wind, he was no more, there was nothing left, nothing but a deep crater in the ground. Inuyasha said nothing, but merely collapsed to the ground, appearing nothing more than a clump of red material, white hair and his ears, his face and arms were unseen as he cried hopelessly into his knees. Kagome walked to his side and then knelt down, she touched his shoulder and he turned his head, his face was a mass of sorrow and dispair, it shone through in his eyes, she said nothing, but instead outstretched a hand and dropped something into his palm and gave him a brief hug before standing, she left, heading back to Kaede's old hut. Inuyasha stared down at his palm, the prayer beads, the one thing he hated more than anything, not his own, but those of a kind hearted monk who was now in paradise. Inuyasha stood, his fist now clenched and wordlessly walked off, alone. The others searched for him the next day to find him sleeping in the tree, days passed like a dream progressed, soon weeks had passed and Kagome was going home, Inuyasha clung to her, despretely afraid of losing another one he cared for. She left finally, Sango had headed to a village and was killed one day in battle, Sesshoumaru and his mate headed to the mountains, where they remained until they were one day discovered by exterminators and killed, Inuyasha was the only one left. Years had passed, Kagome visited, until one day he had recieved word from her son she had died, naturally and of old age at the age of 92. The well had been sealed and blessed, no one could use it as a potral, it was now just a well. Inuyasha continued, he faught demons, encountered another Miko and killed it, for she was nothing like her predicessors.

He often saught solace in this place, the grave of his love, where he lay now. His lower body was completely numb and he was fighting unconscienceness. He struggled to breathe, his eyelids drooped, and it was searing hot pain for every breath he took, pain that spasmed down his rapidly numbing spine. His arms were like lead but he fumbled in his pouches and then finally pulled out a faded, chipped string of dull purple prayer beads and smiled as he squeezed them in his palm. The stars were fading fast and he could have sworn day was coming, yet it grew darker, images flashed before him, faces and names. His brother Sesshoumaru, his mate Kouga, the Miko's Kikyo, Kaede, and Kagome, the exterminators, Sango and Kohaku, the Kitsune, Shippo, his mother, his father, Jaken, the victims, the human, those in the crossfire, the victims of circumstance, Rin. A soft smile came to his face, the letcher, the monk and his one and only true love, Miroku. He could picture the smiling face, the piercing blue eyes, the black hair that was always pulled into that small ponytail, he stood before him, dressed in a simple deep blue kimono, his staff in his left hand, he reached out his now bare right, offering to Inuyasha. Who reached out with his left and clasped the hand within his own, they climbed out of the crater, joining the others, Shippo bounced up and perched on Kagome's shoulder as he used to, sucking on a lollypop he tilted his head, "what took ya so long?" Inuyasha merely scowled, he reached up around his neck and with a soft sigh tore off the prayer beads and tossed them upon the ground, then smirked,

"c'mere ya little brat, you're gonna pay for that comment!" The Kitsune yipped and sped off, with a soft growl and smirk Inu ran after him, Miroku smiled, he'd waited a century for this, he'd forgotten, the chaos, he wasn't waiting any longer, he jogged off lightly after his koi, then whapped him upside the head with is staff, chuckling at the shocked look he recieved, then yelped as he was tackled as his lips were claimed by Inu's. Kaede sighed,

"come along ye little ones!" As they all walked off the sun broke over the horizon, turning black hair white, a ray of light illuminated the now deceased, yet peaceful half-demon, a soft smile graced upon his lips, the two villagers were puzzled when they found a string of reddish and yellow prayer beads and white fangs just outside the rim of the crater where the Hanyou rested, finally at peace.
