Chapter one: First Day
Sango and Inuyasha stood in front of their new school with looks of disgust on their faces, they had argued with their foster parents to let them go to a public school in our to avoid a bunch of stuffy boring rich kids but as they over looked the large brick school with huge court yards, tennis courts, and teens that looked practically all the same, they just wanted to throw up.
“ If this is what the public school looks like, I can only imagine what the private school had.” Sango stated clearly annoyed
“ Their own golf course and catered restaurant?” Inuyasha snorted
“ Actually, this school has the golf course.”
Sango and Inuyasha turned and stared at Sango’s younger brother Kohaku, who was standing next to them loudly chewing on a stick of gum. He was dressed in baggy blue jeans, Timberland boots, a red t-shirt underneath his huge blue sweat shirt, with a bandana wrapped around his head. Sango felt like kicking him ever since he decided to get his ear pierced and go “gansta” on her. Inuyasha knew his new style pissed her off but he personally thought that she had no room to get on him about his clothes when she has a abnormal amount of piercings, and was every bit the stereotypical skater punk. But considering Sango’s quick temper, he decided to leave it alone.
“ You can’t be serious?”
“ Guess you didn’t read the brochure Minako gave you?”
“ I’m surprised you even bothered P Diddy.” Sango spat angrily
“ Look, sis if you’re gonna get on my ass about that bullshit again then I’m out. I’ll find my class on my own! Holla!” he said walking off.
“ God damn brat.” Sango muttered.
“ Why don’t you just chill out Sang?”
“ Whatever, let’s just get this over with Inu, I can’t believe this is where we’re going to go to school! I mean what the hell kind of High school has their own golf course?”
“ A lucky one.”
Sango gave a small snort as they both walked off toward the school more than ready to start and finish the day.
When they walked through the doors to Yakamoto High, they began to look around observing the kids as if they were science experiments. Sango looked around trying to mentally label the students but she found it hard. All of them looked the practically the same, they all where dressed in polo sweaters, sweater vests, clean tennis shoes, and that was just the boys. The girls wore pearls, diamonds, tasteful skirts, or classy suits. It was like she stepped into the fifties or something. It was enough to make Sango want to wretch. She also noticed as they walked the halls they were getting strange looks from people, she wasn’t surprised really out of everyone they were the only two who actually looked normal. Sango had on slightly baggy black cargo pants, a short sleeved pink shirt with black sleeves, dark pink eyeshadow, and black and pink skate shoes. Her dark brown hair was tied up in a high ponytail and she wore a lot of different color bracelets on both of her wrists. As Sango marched through the halls Inuyasha following close behind he picked up on the sound of her clicking her tongue ring against her teeth which indicated that she was either pissed or nervous and knowing Sango she was probably pissed. He was about to say something to her when she stopped suddenly causing him to crash into her.
“ Ow! What the fuck Sango!?!”
“ We’re at the office dumbshit.”
“ You actually managed not to get lost?” He asked sarcastically
“ It’s called a map baka,” she started holding it up so he could see, “ Any five-year-old could read it.”
Sango pushed her way into the office as Inuyasha sighed, he could tell already this was going to be a long year.
The office secretary looked up giving them both the fakest smile they both had ever seen, Inuyasha saw Sango tense up as he rolled his eyes. They had been best friends since before they were even put into foster care, after both their parents had died and Inuyasha’s brother refused to take him in they were forced into foster care. Wherever they were they always wrote each other going in and out of foster homes for years until a wealthy family decided to take them all in. Sango, Inuyasha, and Kohaku were beyond excited that they would finally get to stay together. They were the only real family they had since their parents untimely deaths and they thought this was some kind of miracle, until they realized how truly stuck up the family was and how much of a bitch one of their daughters was, but they all were willing to do anything to make it work if they got to stay together especially Inuyasha, because Sango had always had Kohaku but Inuyasha didn’t have anyone like that and so he made a silent vow to himself to try to make this work even if it meant going to a stuffy public school, where the sight of it made him want to puke. He eyed Sango who was talking with the secretary and wondered if she noticed his change in behavior lately, knowing her she probably did and just wasn’t saying anything about it or she was just too pissed with the school to care. Whatever the reason Inuyasha figured she was just in one of her moods and let it drop.
“ Thanks.” Sango said snatching the paper from the woman and marching out of the office.
“ What’s up?” Inuyasha asked following close behind her.
“ That woman was such a fake bitch! I mean she was fucking looking at me like I was gonna whip out a gun and shoot her!”
Inuyasha couldn’t help but laugh which made Sango smirk a little, she downright hated the school the first moment she got laid eyes on it but if Inuyasha was here maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. She rolled her eyes, handed Inuyasha his schedule as they both got down to looking around in order to find their classrooms as well as their homeroom.

Kagome sat in her chair waiting for homeroom to start, she had her head down on her desk wanting so badly to go to sleep. “ It’s only the first day of your senior year, and already you’re exhausted.” she thought just as she was about to nod off when all of a sudden someone slapped her on the back causing her to jump out of her seat.
“ Holy Crap Kagome! I’m sorry!” said her friend Yuka
“ Don’t worry about it.” she said tiredly “ What’s up?”
“ Did you hear about the new students?”
Kagome perked up at this, she had been at this school for so long that she found everything rather boring. Even though she was first in her class, class president, cheerleading captain, captain of the tennis team, and did a various amount of after school clubs and volunteer work everything just seemed so dull. Being busy kept her occupied, but it didn’t keep her from being bored. The only reason she was doing it was because it looked good on college applications not because she wanted to. She spent the whole summer working and doing everything except have fun. She hoped to the Gods that the new kids weren’t anything like the rest of the kids at the school, to her Yakamoto High so needed a change of pace.
“ No, I haven’t.” She said simply
“ Well, I heard they got kicked out of their old school or something.”
“ That’s not what I heard!” chimed in Eri “ I heard that the girl killed someone!”
“ She’d be in jail not at a new school, Eri.” Kagime said giving her a look
“ Well, I heard that some family took them in that live around here, that they were like orphans or something.” piped up Ayumi who was standing behind Yuka.
Pretty soon there was a whole crowd of students swarming around Kagome’s desk spilling the latest gossip about the new students. Kagome was tired and annoyed was about to tell everyone to go away when Ms. Sato motioned fro them to be silent.
“ Judging by the talk around here, you all are aware that we have new students, I expect you all to be very welcoming to them” She warned the class.
When everyone took their seats and she didn’t hear any arguments she motioned towards the door signaling the students to come in.
“You both may come in now.”
The door opened and Kagome’s mouth as well as everyone else’s in the classroom dropped wide open. Kagome stared at the girl who looked like...she didn’t know what she looked like. She was decked out in pink and black. She had heavy black eyeliner on, and five earrings in each ear, a nose ring, and as the girl yawned she was sure she saw a tongue ring as well. Kagome inwardly cringed at the thought of having her tongue pierced. She glanced at the girls and noticed they were all drooling over the boy, he was tall, slightly tan, with chocolate brown eyes, and long black hair he kept tied back into a low ponytail, he was wearing a black bandana, a black t-shirt, black pants, black combat boots, and black gloves with the fingers cut off. He was gorgeous and anyone with eyes could see that but one look at him and you knew he was trouble, Kagome inwardly smiled at the two. Maybe befriending them was just what she needed to get herself out of the slump she was in, she knew it was a horrible thing to base friendship off of that but at the moment she just didn’t care.

Inuyasha sighed as he glanced at Sango who was trying to hold a laugh as she motioned her eyes at some girls who were obviously oogling him. Inuyasha shook his head as Sango leaned over to tell him something.
“ Looks like you have groupies,” She whispered so that only he could hear.
Inuyasha and Sango gave a small snicker as the teacher began to speak again.
“ Class, this is Inuyasha Taisho and Sango Kato. Please make them feel at home here,” she began “ Now, as being completely new to Yakamoto High school our student guide will help you find your classes.”
“ I wonder who that will be,” Sango whispered
“ Bet you she’s a kiss ass.” He whispered back making Sango smirk.
Suddenly, a girl stood up and Inuyasha’s breath caught in his throat, while Sango’s eyes widened in pure shock. She looked at Inuyasha to make sure he was okay and found the answer to her question almost immediately. The color looked like it was drained completely from his face and the look he had was one that seemed like he had just set eyes on his worst fear. Sango knowing Inuyasha almost his whole life knew he wasn’t one to openly show fear and if he did there was definitely a major problem.
“ Kikyo....” Inuyasha thought as he looked at the brown eyed girl
“ Hello,” she said “ My name is Kagome Higarashi. I’ll be your student guide.”
