`Oh no! What am I going to do? I can't break it off with Koga because he'll take it the wrong way and think it was an actual date, but I can't break it off with Inuyasha for, well, obvious reasons.' Kagome thought to herself while she numbly chewed the end of her pencil.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a tapping on her shoulder.

“Hm?” She looked up to see Sango.

“The lunch bell rang.” She said.

“Oh, sorry. I was really out of it.”

“I can tell.”

The two walked to the cafeteria and joined the lunch line.

“So, did you hear any of Mrs.Momoko's lecture?” Sango asked.

“No, what was it about?”

“Nothing we haven't heard already, you'll be okay.”

“Oh, good.”

“So, what's on your mind?”

“Nothing.”

“Kagome, your not a very good liar. Spill it.”

“I'll tell you later. I'm starving.” Kagome said as to avoid the talk.

“Fine, but I want every piece of information your brain can produce!”

“Yeah, yeah, sure.” Kagome said waving it off with her hand.

They sat down at their usual spot.

“Hey guys!” Shippo said walking up to them.

“Hey Shippo.” They greeted.

Shippo had joined their group; he was a sweet little guy. He was like a little kid, but he was very outspoken.

“What's up?” He asked plopping down next to Kagome.

“Not much, you?”

“I have a date today.” Shippo said blushing.

“Oh reeeaaallly? Whose the lucky girl?” Sango asked.

Shippo mumbled something under his breath.

“What?”

“Kirara.”

“She's a nice girl. You two would make a great couple.” Sango said matter'o factly.

“Whatever.” Shippo said.

“Oi, runt. Move out of my seat.” Inuyasha said pushing Shippo out of the way.

“I was here first!” Shippo wailed.

“Feh.”

“Inuyasha! Be nice!” Kagome scolded.

“Whatever.” He said.

Miroku came up and sat by Sango.

“Hello Sango my sweet.” He said giving her a peck on the cheek. She blushed and said hi back.

“So Inuyasha, you coming over to my house for movie night or do I go to your house?” Miroku asked.

“Not tonight.”

“Why? We always have movie night.” Miroku said hurt.

“I have plans.”

“You made plans when you knew we had movie night?!”

“Shut up Miroku, stop being such a whiner.”

Miroku pouted.

“Um…Inuyasha?” Kagome said breaking into their little feud.

“What?”

“Can I talk to you for a second?”

“Yeah sure.” He said as he and Kagome walked off leaving a table full of curious glances behind.

“What is it?” Inuyasha asked once they were out of the cafeteria.

“Um…well…about our date tonight…um…” Kagome stuttered.

“Spit it out wench.” Inuyasha said becoming impatient.

“I can't make it.”

“What? Why?”

“Well, um, I made plans with someone before you asked me.”

“With who?”

“A friend.”

“Kagome, tell me.”

“Koga.”

“Koga? KOGA?! What the hell Kagome? How could you do that?!” Inuyasha yelled at her.

“I thought you hated me! If I had known you were going to ask me out again I wouldn't have said yes!” Kagome yelled back, trying to keep from crying.

“Why would I hate you?” Inuyasha asked shocked.

“Well-I…I kissed you, when I knew it wasn't a date.”

Kagome said not even trying to contain the tears as they rolled down her face.

Inuyasha pulled her to him and lifted her chin up so she'd face him.

“Stupid.” He said as he leaned down and kissed her.

 

A/n: TeeHee! Cliffy! Sorry it took me so long to write this, I've been busy with school, and the teachers have been piling up homework. I have two one-shots I'm working on so those should be up soon [crosses fingers]

I know I haven't been following the E-mail buddy thing, but the next chapter will have it I promise ^-^ R&R
