“Such is the Life of a Youkai” by: Cuddles 4 Sesshoumaru Summary: Sesshoumaru Taisho, heir to the western throne, full-blooded youkai, is single and not sure what to do with him self, narrow-minded, and unable to find his "Perfect Mate." [this fiction is sort-of ooc] Ok this fic. is going to be written by events thru one chapter. It will be told thru Sess's or Kagome's eyes, and then possibly in the next chapter it will explain the others’ actions [hopefully.] Any author’s notes are in brackets; I am new at this, so be kind in the reviews and ratings plz! THANKIES C4S Prologue For three years we had searched for the shards of the Jewel of Four Souls that I had unfortunately shattered. I had just turned fifteen and was naïve; give me a break. [keep in mind this is from her head] I had given up on school, and my family only sees me about four days a month. In six days I will be eighteen my mom wants me to come home for it. She has been acting weird ever since the day I told her about Sesshoumaru trying to kill Inu yasha. She gave me the necklace that I had admired when I was little and said that she could not wait any longer to give it to me and, crying, she sent me away.
The encounter [kagome]
God, not again! That jewel shard has been following us for three months now, unfortunately. We’ve got most of it complete, though. Now it was time for the fight with Naraku. We only missed three pieces: one, the huge chunk that Naraku had, and another was following us. It was driving me wild, and only I could feel it, of course! It happens the closer I get to the shard so it makes it easy to find the user of the shard."Inu yasha, I'm going for a walk, so don't try to follow. Okay?" Of course he probably wants to keep me close after that battle; I'll take my bow and arrows. Okay!!!?" "Keh, I guess, but if I so much as hear a sound that is not walking, I am going to kill you, okay?" he replied with an air of suspicion. "What do you think will happen?" I replied back. "Well after the last time I let one of you guys go alone I thought someone was about to die, but it was just Sango and Miroku." 'Oh, so he thinks I have a lover somewhere. . . . well, maybe I do. This jewel shard sure has stuck to me like glue! Oh well, let's go see what has this jewel shard.' 'God damn this underbrush! The flashing was getting faster, and I was apparently getting closer. 'So you want to come to me, huh?' "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" I was lifted off of the ground and taken into the air. Well, when I was screaming and shouting a cat youkai jumped for me and just missed. Unfortunately for it, the thing that had me now was powerful and it just flicked its wrist and a whip came out of no where at the youkai. . . well, let’s just say that the youkai is no more. Inu Yasha was pissed! Well, I bet you are wondering when I would see who or what had me. Well, I had and idea, because I had seen that attack before; I just was scared to see if I was right. Well, I did not have to wait long, for here came Inu Yasha, "SESSHOUMARU!!! What are you doing with Kagome?" "Apparently saving her from a youkai. What are you doing little brother?" Sesshoumaru asked while smiling. [hey I said it was ooc] "Wait a minute," I yelled, not caring who was around, " You have the jewel shard don't you?" "What, Kagome! You went for a jewel shard with out me???????" Inu Yasha said, apparently hurt. "Well, Inu yasha the world does not revolve around you now does it?" I said while rolling my eyes. "Yes I do have a jewel shard; why?" Sesshoumaru asked with a look of confusion [I would love to see that] "Well, we are collecting them and have all but apparently yours, Koga's, and Naraku's. We will have to ask or kill you. Kill Naraku and ask Koga," said Inu yasha with the air of a superior. "Oh Inu yasha, what would you do if I was to reconstruct Sesshoumaru's arm?" I asked with a smug outlook on the out come of that comment. "Kaede taught me how when I asked about," at this point I looked over at Sesshoumaru and stopped. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, when you asked what?" Inu yasha said with a confused look [yes I like confused looks] "Uhhhh, what were we talking about?" I said trying to throw them off. "Are you talking about after the battle in the grave of our father?" Sesshoumaru asked with a knowing air. "Uh, uh, sorta, I guess. Umm I don't know?" I said, but they were able to tell that I was lying. 'Uh oh not good.' "You care about him? Since when?" Inu yasha said with a hurt look. Sesshoumaru just looked around like he knew this would happen, but he slipped a hand up to his neck and sort of took out a pendant; in the moment that it was shown, I thought that I recognized it, but I quickly put it out of my head: The possibility of it being the same as mine was just out of the question, but still it scared me that there was a possibility his pendant was the same as mine, but.. Let’s just say it did not make me speechless. "Wait, is that a pendant? Is it like a pale, translucent purple and blue stone in the shape of the sun?" I asked hesitantly. "What pendant?" Sesshoumaru asked, looking like he had no clue what I was talking about, but I could, with my miko powers, sense that he was worried and upset. "Wait, Sesshoumaru has a pendant? HA, HA, HA, when did this happen, Sesshoumaru?" Inu yasha inquired. While Inu yasha was bent over laughing Sesshoumaru walked up behind him and picked him up by the throat and threw him against a tree. Ha, ha I guess u all will have to wait for me update. Well R&R tell me if I need to do any thing and whether I need to just rewrite it or not!!! : Hey I know it may be bad but some fics on this site are worse. My beta told me it was a bad job at grammar so here is a revised first chapter.Bali for now C4S
