At the age of fifteen, Kagome had been dragged into the Feudal Era of Japan. A year had passed from that fateful day. It was her birthday, she was going home.

"Please Inuyasha! I won't S-I-T you for a whole week."

Kagome just had to convince a certain hanyo first.

Ears twitched, "I don't see what the fuss is about."

"I've already told you. Mom is throwing me a sweet sixteen party."

"And you won't use the beads for a week, if I let you go?"

"I promise," sapphire eyes implored.

"Fine," Inuyasha agreed.

The priestess cheered.

"But I'm coming to this par-tee."

Kagome froze in mid-celebration, "why?"

"To make sure you come back," he scowled.

The small miko fumed.

An oblivious hanyo went on, "can't be wasting time chasing ya around the future."

"If you set one foot out of line..." Kagome's facial expression completed the sentence.

--'I will SIT you into the afterlife.'--

Inuyasha's ears pressed against his head, "you promised..."

A raven-haired priestess stalked out of the hut.

"Idiot," a small fox demon muttered.

The insulted party lunged at Shippo.

A golden circle smacked the silver mane, "Inuyasha, shouldn't you be escorting Kagome to the well?"

Golden eyes narrowed, "better watch yourself, runt."

A wooden curtain swung in the door, announcing the hanyo's departure.

Kagome walked through the lush forest, 'Inuyasha is such a jerk!'

"Hey, wait up stupid!"

'SIT!' She screamed in her mind.

Inuyasha stumbled a little, "so what's a par-tee anyways?"

'If I told him once...' the miko sighed, "I am turning sixteen years old. There be cake and people will bring presents."

'Hojo will show up with some herbal remedy...'

"Then everyone will sing. Candles will be lit and I can make a wish."

Ears swiveled, "but we don't have the jewel."

Kagome smiled, "A birthday wish. If you blow out all the candles, your wish will come true."

They approached the Bone-eaters well.

"What are you going to wish for?"

The priestess shook her head, "I can't tell, otherwise it won't come true.

Inuyasha huffed, "let's get this over with."

They jumped into the portal.
