Inuyasha raced along the darkened path towards the Bone Eater's Well. He was slower than usual thanks to the new moon's cycle. His black hair billowed around him and his sides ached with how much his quick pace kept him at. His pursuers continued the chase with less effort. Inuyasha knew that they were toying with him now, knowing that he would eventually have to stop to catch breath.

He knew it too, but he wouldn't stop, not even if it killed him. He would not let them have it.
