JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Fan Fiction ❯ Dynamite and a laser beam ❯ The Daily life of Yoshihara Kira ( Chapter 1 )

[ A - All Readers ]

It had been seven whole years since Yoshihara had moved in with Mitsuki and her family. She was now 14 years old, and at that time, Yoshihara had told Mitsuki the type of abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother and her 'clients'. As a result, she was made to go to therapy for five years until she was able to get past her trauma. Since then, Yoshihara, for the most part, had been able to move past the trauma she endured at the hands of her mother and her clients; but the scar on her psyche still remained.

Once Yoshihara stopped going to therapy, she had begun to develop a behavioural pattern for her morning routine. One not too dissimilar to her old routine when she was younger. Get up at 7 am, do 10 minutes of stretches, have a warm shower, eat breakfast with everyone, go on a short jog around the block, if there was time too, read a book or manga volume, then go to school. That was her morning routine, and she had been following it religiously for two years straight.

Yoshihara was now currently sitting on her bed, reading volume 3 of a manga called JoJo's Bizarre Adventures: Steel Ball Run. The author, Rohan Kishibe had gone on record saying that it was his most popular manga that he made, and his current one, JoJolion was looking to be another success. According to Rohan, Steel Ball Run was the first part of many. Out of all the Manga that Yoshihara had read, this one was her absolute favourite.

Just as she was about to finish the volume, she was taken out of her reading stupor when her cousin, Katsuki Bakugo barged into her room. "Oi! Yoshihara, get your uniform on, time for school!" Katsuki said as Yoshihara sighed, closing her book and looking up at her cousin with annoyance.

"Haven't you heard of knocking? What if I was doing something 'unsavoury'? Hmm? What would you have done then?" Yoshihara asked as Katsuki rolled his eyes and smirked.

"Like you, my cousin would even do that. You're way too pure of heart to do something like that. Unless of course, your hiding something like that." Katsuki teased as Yoshihara giggled.

"What I do when I have time to myself is my knowledge and my knowledge alone. But still, at least have the courtesy to knock." Yoshihara said as Katsuki sighed.

"Fine, whatever. Just get ready for school, we're gonna be late if you don't hurry up." Katsuki stated as he left the room, closing the door as he left.

Yoshihara grumbled, reopening the volume and sticking a bookmark where she left off. Afterwards, she placed the book down on her dresser, which was located right beside the edge of her bed. Getting off her bed, she began to take off her sleepwear, which was a black sports bra and black shorts. It was also what she wore in the mornings for her early morning jogs after breakfast.

At this point in Yoshihara's life, she had become the stereotypical teenager in terms of how she looked. Her hair was now down to the bottom of her shoulders, and she herself was fit, not muscular, but she could hit pretty hard if she ever got into a fight; not like she had any desires to fight, but she could leave a pretty bad bruise on someone if she wanted to. However, she had her mother's DNA, and her mom wasn't a flat-chested woman, meaning Yoshihara also had the same size chest, which was around 36 inches. She always thought that she would be flat-chested, but when her breasts came in, they came in fast. Boys would ogle and stare, and she hated every second of it.

But that wasn't the end of it. She also had grown in height, going from a small kid at 3'8 when she was 9, to 5'8 in her teen years. It was jarring, to say the least, and she quickly learned that being tall was not as great as everyone said it was. Sure, you could reach higher places, and play basketball with no issues, but she couldn't get into small spaces easily, she was now more open for people to hit her, and she was less nimble.

However, it wasn't just Yoshihara who matured, no, it was also [Killer Queen]. However, unlike a human, [Killer Queen] didn't have any lewd features, meaning that its chest was just the shape of a pair of breasts instead of the actual things, but that didn't matter to her male classmates, including Katsuki. As Yoshihara finished brushing her hair, she looked at her school uniform. It was a simple black sailors school uniform with a thigh-high skirt and white stockings. Yoshihara rolled her eyes as she began to put on the uniform. "I hate skirts…" Muttered the blond as she finished putting on the uniform.

She quickly made her bed and went to leave her room when something caught her attention, she had forgotten to fluff her pillows. She quickly fixed her pillows before walking up to her bedroom door, opening it, exiting the room, and closing the door behind her. Walking downstairs she noticed Katsuki impatiently waiting at the front door with his backpack on his shoulder. "Jesus, it took ya long enough. We gotta get going." Katsuki stated as Yoshihara sighed.

"Have a good day at school you two, and Katsuki, for the love of god stay out of trouble!" Mitsuki stated as Katsuki groaned. Yoshihara gave Mitsuki a goodbye hug and left with Katsuki to go to their school, Aldera Junior High. As the two teens walked, Yoshihara couldn't help but think back to the time when she first discovered [Killer Queen]'s ability.

Flashback: April 12th, 2112, Yoshihara's age: 13

It was a cold August morning. Yoshihara was out getting groceries for supper. They were having Yoshihara's favourite, Teriyaki Salmon. It was only 4 pm, and Mitsuki wanted to get it ready before Masaru got home so he could eat with everyone. Yoshihara knew that when her aunt wanted something done, it got done regardless of what you felt was more important.

However, when Yoshihara was leaving the store, she felt a hand tightly grab her by the mouth, shocking her. But what was worse was when she felt something cold press up against her back. A voice spoke right by her ear as it said: "Don't do anything stupid, or I'll shoot you." The voice stated, its tone sounding serious. Yoshihara's worst fears came to light, she was being either 1. Kidnapped, or 2. Being held hostage.

She was being dragged into an alleyway just adjacent to her, and what she saw was something straight out of a true-crime show. There was a small little room inside the alleyway, tucked behind boxes and other things. In the room was a mattress, stained from head to toe. Yoshihara knew exactly where this was going when she saw two other men standing around, looking at her with a stare she knew all too well.

It was a stare engraved into her mind back when she was only 4. The stare of a man who wanted nothing more but to force you into having sex. Of course, when she was four, she only saw it when her mom was dealing with clients that were too touchy, but she got some of those looks as well from people who were now convicted pedophiles, but it hadn't mattered to her. She knew where this was going, and she needed to find some way out of this. The gun was still pushed against her back until she was tossed onto the bed.

"Alright, you little shit. You're gonna do exactly as we say, or I'll shoot you right here, right now. Got it?" The eldest of the three men said as Yoshihara could only nod. "Good, take off your clothes." The man said as Yoshihara froze. She was about to speak when the man raised the gun to her. "I SAID TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES!" The man shouted.

Yoshihara so badly wanted to use [Killer Queen] to punch his head into the wall, but she couldn't risk being attacked by the other two men. So, unfortunately, she did as he asked. One of the men made a snide remark about her body, to which Yoshihara glared at him. She covered her privates and her breasts with her arms as the man smirked.

"Oh please, let's see what we're working with here, come on." The second eldest said as the man with the gun gestured to Yoshihara to do as he asked. She knew what was going to happen, she knew this wasn't going to end well. She could feel [Killer Queen] practically scratching at her soul to let it out. But she had to hold it back, she had to wait until she could attack at the right time.

She complied with the man, removing her self-made censors. She had the same body type she had in her later teen years. The men smiled, one of them had a nosebleed, and that was when the first one dropped his pants. Yoshihara's heart began to race as he forced himself on to her. She screamed as the man touched her in places she hated. She had to do something, anything, that's when she let go of her calm demeanour, and [Killer Queen] was unleashed.

The cat-like quirk attacked instantly, grabbing the man by the throat and slamming him onto the pavement. The man with the gun fired two shots in her direction, but [Killer Queen] used the man it had just attacked as a meat shield. The man in [Killer Queen]'s hand died from being shot and was thrown away haphazardly to the side.

Then, the most bizarre thing happened. [Killer Queen] pointed its index finger towards the man with the gun and shot a bubble out of its finger. The speed at which it moved was the same as a bullet. But when it hit the man, a loud explosion happened, blowing a hole right through the man's torso, killing him instantly. The last man that was left begged for his life to be spared, only for [Killer Queen] to grab him by the chin and shove its hand down his throat. Small lumps were now inside the man's neck as [Killer Queen] chucked him to the wall. Its hand formed a detonation like charade as it pressed down. A clicking noise was heard when then, the man's head exploded.

Three small tank-like devices were now on the man's body. They rolled towards [Killer Queen] as it picked them up. Yoshihara was in complete shock; she had no idea [Killer Queen] could do those types of things. She thought that [Killer Queen] was just some normal cat-like creature that could punch things really hard. Now she knew otherwise.

The blond teen quickly put her clothes back on and ran out of the alleyway, grabbing her groceries and heading home. She wasn't going to tell anyone about what happened. She didn't want her aunt knowing that she killed three people, even if it was in self-defence.

-Flashback over-

Yoshihara shook her head, trying to rid her mind of the awful memory. Despite the encounters horrid intentions, she did learn that her quirk had several strong, explosion based, abilities; however deadly they may be. "Oi, Yoshihara, you ok? You look distressed." Katsuki said, his posture seemingly that of a punk, but his facial expression was that of worry.

"Oh, I'm fine Katsuki. Just an old memory." Yoshihara admitted as Katsuki sighed as they continued walking to school. As they made it to a crossroads, in the distance, Yoshihara could see a green-haired boy wearing the exact same uniform as them. He looked upset, and down. Which was when Yoshihara called out to the boy. "Midoriya-kun!"

"Did you really have to call Deku over here?" Katsuki said annoyed as Izuku turned to see Yoshihara waving at him.

"Oh, Kira-chan," Izuku said, walking over to the pair. "Hey Kacchan, hey Kira-chan. How are you guys doing?" Izuku asked as Katsuki scoffed.

"Tch, whatever, I'm going." As he said that, Katsuki walked ahead of the two, causing Izuku to sigh.

"Ignore him, he's tired because he stayed up too late playing some stupid game on his PS5," Yoshihara said as Izuku chuckled.

"Well, that's Kacchan for you." The two decided to walk together, and while for the first part of the walk was silent; to Aleve tension, Yoshihara decided to speak up.

"So… how was your morning Midoriya-kun?" Yoshihara asked, her hands now put in her pockets as Izuku gave off a gentle smile.

"It was ok, Mom was at work again before I could say bye, but I'm used to it," Izuku answered as he continued. "What about you?"

Yoshihara giggled before sighing. "Well, it's the usual. Wake up, have a shower, go on a light jog, etc, etc." Yoshihara said as the greenette rubbed the back of his head.

"What else did I expect. You always do your morning routine." Izuku asked, slightly embarrassed. Then for no reason, [Killer Queen] appeared and began ruffling Izuku's hair, flustering him. "H-Hey! Can you get your quirk to stop that?!" Izuku asked as Yoshihara giggled.

"I guess it likes you Midoriya-kun." The golden blond said as Izuku sighed.

Eventually, [Killer Queen] dissipated as Izuku tried to fix his hair. Yoshihara remembered when she first met Izuku. He had just been bullied, no, more like assaulted, by her cousin. When Yoshihara became his friend, it cheered him up knowing someone would want to hang out with him. That was over two years ago, and in those two years, Yoshihara developed a sort of crush on Izuku. She hadn't known why, but she assumed it was because of his looks at first.

However, his personality was the real reason. Izuku wasn't the quote on quote: Hottest person in the world, but he was cute. His whole demeanour reminded him of a character from Steel Ball Run, that being PocoLoco. Usually carefree and oblivious, but bold when he needed to be. As the pair approached the school, Midoriya let out a groan as he looked at Yoshihara. "You wanna hang out at lunch today?" Izuku asked as Yoshihara sighed.

"Sorry Midoriya-kun, I was gonna study for the upcoming exam today at lunch. Don't forget, I'm gonna be trying to get into Yuuei." Yoshihara said as Izuku nodded.

"Yeah… Yuuei…" Midoriya said as he solemnly walked to class. Yoshihara was worried about Midoriya. He had been bullied, mocked, tormented all his life by people who were supposed to be his friends. That even included Katsuki when Yoshihara didn't have him on a metaphorical leash. However, now was not the time to worry about him, she needed to focus on her studies. As Yoshihara entered the school grounds, her expression dropped from a carefree persona to her normal, overtly serious and strict personality.

To Yoshihara, going to school was a job that had to be taken seriously. She wanted to join the hero course at Yuuei, just like her cousin intended on doing. She also wanted to prove to herself that she could be more than what her mother thought her to be. She wasn't going to let people walk all over her. Not now, and not ever again.

After Yoshihara moved in with her aunt, the one thing she strived for the most was to live a quiet and peaceful life, while also becoming a hero. Usually, those two goals combined would lead to neither of them working out, but for Yoshihara, she was determined to do so. Even with her deadly quirk, she would still try her darndest to become a hero.

However, she was also determined to live a quiet life. People would often call her weird for acting so, 'abnormal'. Always getting the same thing for lunch, always doing the same routines over and over again. It was bizarre, and many people would make fun of her for it. However, Yoshihara never listened to them. Those who tried to get in her way of a peaceful life usually had to spend a day in the nurses' office on account of her very powerful quirk.

Countless times she was praised for it, even though her quirk terrified everyone, including the staff. Many people were quick to say she was a villain, trying to get a rise out of her, to no avail. People would try to fight her; she'd ignore them and continue on with her life. Yoshihara wasn't a big fan of conflict, she never got into fights unless it meant something to her.

The day was coming to an end, Yoshihara was working on an assignment for class when her teacher, Mr. Ouma, spoke up. "Ok class, I believe it's time to go over the forms you handed in regarding the high schools you wanted to go to!" As her teacher went over some of the students, her attention was finally caught when the teacher spoke her name.

"Yoshihara Kira wants to go to Yuuei! Specifically the hero course. Well, Kira-san, we wish you luck on your endeavours!" The teacher said as some of her classmates cheered her name. Yoshihara ignored them, opting to continue focusing on her work. A little while later, the bell rang. She quickly packed up her school bag and was off to get Katsuki.

She passed groups of people muttering to themselves, others walking in the halls, and several other people by their lonesome. It was depressing, to say the least, but at least they weren't trying to interrupt her. As Yoshihara came across Katsuki's and Izuku's classroom, Yoshihara saw Katsuki about to destroy one of Izuku's notebooks. Not thinking twice, Yoshihara summoned [Killer Queen], who dashed in front of Katsuki, snatching the notebook from his hand.

"H-Hey! Who the fuck- Oh, it's you." Katsuki said, completely dejected from his about to be rant. Yoshihara entered the classroom, [Killer Queen] giving Midoriya back his notebook.

"T-Thanks Kira-chan," Izuku said as Yoshihara sighed.

"Look, Katsuki, you gotta stop picking on him. Weren't you guys friends at one point?" Yoshihara asked as Katsuki scoffed.

"Like I'm gonna be friends with some quirkless loser," Katsuki stated, shoving his right hand into his pocket and slinging his backpack over his shoulder.

Without a word, Katsuki left; leaving Yoshihara, Izuku, and a couple of Katsuki's lackies behind. Katsuki's 'friends' left, making comments on how Yoshihara constantly helped Izuku, while also calling Izuku a weakling. Yoshihara couldn't help but acknowledge that they were right. With this in mind, Yoshihara looked at Izuku, sighing.

"Midoriya." Yoshihara started as Izuku looked at her.

"Yes, Kira-chan?" Izuku asked as his expression was that of happiness. Yoshihara debated chewing Izuku out. 'No, he needs to hear this, whether he likes it or not.'

"Midoriya, you realize you are a 'Deku.' Right?" Yoshihara said, Izuku's expression dropping to a frown.

"Oh… you think I'm useless to…" Izuku said as Yoshihara sighed.

"No, Izuku. While you are a good person. You are extremely weak, extremely pitiful, and extremely self-righteous. You say you want to be a hero, yet you've done nothing to prove that you can be a hero. You have zero experience training your body, and you're as frail as a stick. Unless you start training, and unless you start trying to better yourself, you will always be a Deku, and you can never become a hero." Yoshihara stated, causing Izuku's eyes to widen.

"Do you understand what I'm trying to say? I'm not saying you can never be a hero. But if you don't train, you'll never become one. Now come on, we gotta get going." Yoshihara said as Izuku nodded. The greenette began to put his school supplies away, making sure that everything was in its right place. After he packed up his bag, Yoshihara and Izuku left the school. The walk was silent, all until Izuku spoke up.

"We can take this short cut if you want," Izuku said as Yoshihara sighed.

"Sadly, my house is the other way Midoriya, I'll see you later," Yoshihara said as Izuku nodded.

"Alright, see you tomorrow Kira-chan." The greenette said as the two went their separate ways

As Yoshihara said goodbye, she couldn't help but feel that leaving him alone was a bad idea. She shrugged it off, walking down the path to her house, she began to ponder what she was going to do when she finished her homework. As she thought about her after school activities, she approached her house. She was surprised that the door wasn't unlocked, not thinking much of it, she opened the door and walked inside, closing the door behind her.

Taking her shoes off, she was greeted by her aunt, who smiled. "Oh, Yoshihara, it's rare that you get home before Katsuki. Do you have any homework?" Mitsuki asked as Yoshihara nodded. "Well get to it, we're having your favourite tonight, so get to working so you can help me," Mitsuki said as Yoshihara smiled.

"Yes Auntie," Yoshihara said, bringing her backpack to the dining room table and beginning her work.

Mitsuki took this opportunity to ask her something. "So, what High School are you wanting to go to?" Mitsuki asked as Yoshihara smiled, looking at her.

"Yuuei, specifically the hero course. It's always been my dream to be the first hero that was born in Morioh." Yoshihara said as Mitsuki smirked.

"Of course dear, why didn't I think of that. Aside from that, how was your day at school?" Mitsuki asked as Yoshihara sighed.

"Well, it was the usual. I spent most of my free time studying for the upcoming exam." Yoshihara said as Mitsuki scoffed.

"Jeez, you're just as bad as your cousin. At least you're not an ass." Mitsuki said as they both giggled.

"Yeah, Katsuki is a bit of an ass, but he's just got a superiority complex. Not even therapy will help him." Yoshihara said as Mitsuki sighed.

"Yeah, I wish I caught on sooner. Well, I'll let you get back to work." Mitsuki said, allowing Yoshihara to continue her homework.

As Mitsuki prepared to make supper, she heard her phone go off. 'Huh, I swear if it's the headmaster, I'm gonna-' Mitsuki's thought process was cut off when she saw the number. It was registered in America. Not thinking much of it, she answered. "Hello, this is the Bakugo household, Who's calling?" Mitsuki asked as she was surprised to hear a person speak back to her in Japanese.

"Hello, is this… let's see here, Mitsuki Kira." The man said as Mitsuki's eyes widened. She hadn't been called by her maiden name since she was 23 years old.

"Who are you and how do you know my maiden name," Mitsuki asked a tad bit of fear in her tone as the man on the other end sighed.

"I'm sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Jotaro Kujo. I'm a member of the Speedwagon Foundation. I was doing research on a man by the name of Yoshikage Kira, and I found out he still had two living family members, that being a sister and a daughter. I couldn't get ahold of the daughter, so I decided to call you." Jotaro stated as Mitsuki gasped.

"Wait, the Speedwagon foundation! Isn't that part of the American government?! Why are you calling!" Mitsuki nearly shouted as Jotaro sighed.

"Don't worry ma'am, it has nothing to do with you. However, it does concern your brother," Jotaro said as Mitsuki stayed silent. "You see, your brother, Yoshikage Kira, was a serial killer. He used his quirk to kill innocent women and stole their hands to satisfy his unending and unsavoury hand fetish. We had to put a stop to him, so I did, along with some trusted allies. We only intended on arresting him, but before we could, an ambulance ran him over, and he died instantly." Jotaro explained.

Mitsuki was feeling a rush of emotions. Anger, sadness, disappointment, and grief. She had never known that her younger brother was a serial killer, and if she had the chance to, she would have stopped him. "H-How many people did he k-kill," Mitsuki said, her tone hushed so Yoshihara couldn't hear.

"He killed around 49 women, and one high schooler who unfortunately crossed paths with him," Jotaro said as Mitsuki was appalled.

"We wanted to inform you about it. If you ever see his daughter, please tell her about what happened. We want her to know who her father was, judging by these documents, she never knew about him, and he never knew about her either." Jotaro said as Mitsuki sighed, trying to calm down.

"A-Alright. I'll let her know. T-thank you for calling, Kujo-san." Mitsuki said before the phone hung up.

Mitsuki placed her phone on the counter as she saw Katsuki in the kitchen doorway, he was scuffed up, but that was the least of her worries. Katsuki looked at his mother, she was upset and close to tears. Yoshihara also saw it and was confused. That's when Katsuki asked her a question. "Oi, what's wrong mom?" Katsuki asked as Mitsuki took in a deep breath.

"I just got a phone call from the Speedwagon Foundation. They called about your uncle, Katsuki, and your father, Yoshihara." Mitsuki said as Yoshihara's eyes widened.

"They did! What was it about! I need to know!" Yoshihara said, standing up from the table and looking Mitsuki in the eyes. Mitsuki only returned a solemn stare, making Yoshihara's heart sink. "Auntie, what's wrong?" Yoshihara asked as Mitsuki sighed.

"Your father, Yoshikage Kira, was a serial killer."
