I was forced to accept destiny
Now my destiny is in my own hands
Why do you mock, why do you stop me?
I know you once believed in this, because you were from those lands
 
The shadow of your fate is large
But yet you know no fear
Still you try to keep me locked inside
This cage of fate and tears
 
What, I wonder, made you stop
And change the way you thought?
You're better now, from that device
But I am still embroiled in a battle to be fought
 
I want to fly
On my own wings
And listen to the winds of change
That every new day brings
