Everything was quiet. No one said a word. They glanced at the unmoving figure on the bed.

“What can we do to get her out of it?” Kakashi finally asked.

Tsunade sighed, “Shizune, please get me Inoichi now.”

The young assistant who was standing by the door nodded and rushed out of the room. Tsunade turned to the others, noticing the questioning looks sent to her, obviously saying, `What are you planning to do?' of course with some of the less patient ones it was more like, `Tell me what's going on. NOW!' (*cough*Sasuke*cough*).

Sensing their doubts, the fifth Hokage explained, “The Yamanaka clan can reach into other people's minds. If we somehow manage to reach into Sakura's mind, maybe we can find a way on how to stop the genjutsu, or at least figure out what's causing her so much stress like this.”

Understanding this, everyone nodded.

“Hokage-sama? You wanted to see me?” a new voice appeared from the doorway. Inoichi stood next to a now breathless Shizune.

Tsunade nodded and proceeded to inform him of the problem at hand.

“So will you do it?”

Inoichi shook his head no.

Tsunade's eyes narrowed in anger, “And why not?” She was starting to lose patients.

“I have tried to reach into her mind before and will not do it again. There is something dark and unexplained in her mind. I have never seen anything quite like it. It could be dangerous, and it gave me a feeling of dread that I haven't felt before,” Inoichi stood firmly, unwavering in his answer.

Again, the room was engulfed in uncomfortable silence.

“I'll do it,” a voice spoke up suddenly.

All heads turned to Ino's direction.

“Ino, I understand that you want to help your friend, and I admire your bravery, but I forbid it,” Inoichi shook his head. He was not sending his daughter anywhere that even he couldn't handle.

Ino was about to protest but was interrupted by the sensei of team seven, “Is there a way where you could bring her thoughts out of her mind, so that instead going into her mind, we could see what she's thinking instead?” Kakashi asked with his hands stuffed into his pant pockets.

Inoichi looked thoughtful for a moment, “I suppose there is a way we could make that work. Of course that would involve some research, but I think that would be possible.”

“Then it's settled. You find out anything you can about this technique, and when you have all the information. We'll start with the procedure,” the Godaime declared.

Inoichi nodded and left. Ino went with him to look through the Yamanaka scrolls. The others eventually left, and soon, it was just Neji and Sakura. He squeezed her hand lightly, and whispered, “You'll be fine soon Sakura, I promise.”
