I walk down this hall.
Beside the girl that stole my heart.
She doesn't even know how I feel.
Does she even know my love is real?
How can I begin to tell my emotions?

She turned to me
With a face full of worry
The silence that scratched our skin
She turned my face
And spoke to me soundless words
I hug her close as she wonders what's wrong
And the phrase to cut these lips "I love you."
I turn loose from her grasp
As the words strike her heart.

I think I try too hard
But I had to take a chance
And make it big cause it's the last I'll ever get
If I don't take it how will we make it?
All I ever did was smile at the thought of you.
And the gleam in your eyes lightens my whole world.
Now take me, take me away.

She screams my name, but I'm deaf to words
These silent tears that strike the floor
"I love you." echo through the hall.
I hear footsteps running up to me
Arms wrap around me in a loving embrace.
She buries her face in my shoulder
Letting go of fears.
Wiping away tears.
Burn my wings, I don't want to fly anymore.
