I want so badly to lie down on the Earth
As the Sun warms my skin.
Feel the grass brush the back of my neck
As my hair flows down past my shoulders.
The scent of lilacs fill the air,
And in turn, me.
Lie there, silently,
Listening as everything awakens.

I yearn for this—need it.
I'm restless without it.
There is in me my spirit,
Cramped and crowded inside.
I can feel it just under my skin,
Crawling slowly, constantly,
Itching it's way to the surface.
I dare not scratch it, not yet.

As I wait patiently, though running out,
The rain comes down.
Such a beautiful, mystic cleansing quality it possesses.
This water ignites in me a flame of every emotion.
Rather than letting these out,
I stare deeply with no expression,
Keeping these emotions inside me,
Making me feel individually connected to all else.
