"This is a very very very bad idea." That was all Patrick could say. "A teacher having relations with a student...after what I just did to the coach?"

"You could always just leave and go to another school," Rio said happily.

"Not an option. This is the only one I could teach at that is close to school. I think we should just forget this ever happened."

"Yeah, not going to happen," Leia said. "I'm hungry."

Rio stood and went to the kitchen. "I'll see what I can make."

"Leia, I'm serious. What happened was a mistake. One that shouldn't be repeated."

"I don't even listen to my dad. I'm not going to listen to you either," she said and started peeling the blankets off her.

"Yes, well all I have to do is not come back here," he told her.

"Oh God..." Gabe said as he looked at Leia. She had that look in her eye, the one that was considering the last words said a challenge.

"That's ok...there are other ways," she smirked.

"No there are not," he said quickly. Did she really think that this was okay? Did she not know the dangers associated with this?

She shrugged.
"We'll see."

He groaned and shook his head. Going home was really starting to sound more and more appealing. "Can I at least have a shirt?"

Gabe stood and went to his room. He came back out and handed Patrick a shirt. "So...Mr. McClain...how's life?"

Leia laughed.

"It's been better," he smirked. Looking down at the shirt, he groaned. Surely this was a gag. The shirt said 'I take it from behind'. "Really?"

Gabe smiled. "Yeah, I don't like you too much right now."

Leia only smiled bigger. Minutes later, Rio severed everyone something he had mixed up.

With a frown, he pulled the shirt on and shuddered. At least the food smelled good.
"What is this?"

"I have no idea. Just kinda did what I could since I can't open the fridge," Rio said. Leia took a mouthful of it, moaning as she chewed. "She seems to like it."

He wanted to mention the fact that she might be sensitive from before, but quickly decided against it. After a quick taste, he nodded. "It is rather good. I heard that you were quite the cook."

Rio looked over at Leia. She narrowed her eyes at Patrick. "Leia said she likes my cooking?" he asked with stars in his eyes.

"No, actually she said that your mother was a good cook and you get by on her graces."

He frowned. "Oh..." he said and pushed his food around.

"Don't pout...the meal's fine," she said quickly.

He smiled softly.

Patrick shot her a confused look, but shrugged it off. Oh well. He never was good at understanding females.

The rest of the night was spent talking about small stuff. They all ended up falling asleep in the living room. Leia was half on Gabe and half on Rio while Patrick was on the air bed.

Patrick had a good mind to sneak out that night, but the simple truth was that he'd probably die out there without a car. Even then, if he did try anything it wouldn't end well. So until the weather cleared he was a mini hostage in their house. Hopefully in the morning things would look better and they could all put this mini fiasco behind them. If anything he owed Gabe and Rio for stopping him from doing something he would have truly regretted.

The next day was spent in mostly silence. By the afternoon, the rain stopped, the power came back on and Rio drove Patrick to his car then stayed with him to fix it up and get it running. Gabe watched Leia closely as she stood at the window like a lost puppy looking to see if his owner would come home soon.

On Monday morning, Leia surprised her boys be getting up when she was told to and not groaning once. She was the first one in the car and she didn't roam the halls before class. She came in Patrick's class as soon as the bell rang with Rio and Gabe on her heels. She said nothing as she sat down and pulled out her book with everyone else. She once again shocked both Gabe and Rio when she looked like she was paying attention to what Patrick was teaching...however...it only lasted about twenty minutes before she was bored again and yawned.

"Now, that practically sums up the first act of Macbeth," Patrick informed them. Going over to his desk, he sat down and began leafing through things. "How many of you have read Shakespeare's plays?" All of the class raised their hands. "Excellent. Then you shouldn't have any trouble with this. We're going to be putting Macbeth on hold. I want you to write your own Shakespearean play. Don't worry, it doesn't have to be in old English. Just take one of Shakespeare's plays, and write it how you would have liked it to be written. I don't expect you to write the entire thing, just summarize it in about twenty pages."

There was a loud 'thump!' and everyone turned to the back of the room. Leia had fallen asleep and hit her head on her desk. She sat up rubbing her head while Gabe and Rio snickered. She glared at them. "That sucked a bit," she mumbled. The class turned and looked back at Patrick as Leia yawned. She looked at Gabe. "What did I miss?"

"The whole class..."

Patrick shook his head slowly. "Well then, that will be all for today. You have your assignments. I look forward to seeing them at the end of the week."

Leia stood with another yawn and started grabbing her things. Gabe watched her as she slowly walked out in front of him. Once they were in the hall she turned to him and Rio. "Whatever his assignment was....I'm not doing it."

Rio sighed. "Big shocker."

"Oh, get over it Rio," she groaned. "Not all of us can be crazy awesome at school."

"You could be if you tried."

"I could be if I wanted to try. But guess what," she turned to him with a innocent smile, "I don't want to."

Gabe laughed as she skipped away to break.

Patrick spent the rest of the day thinking about his mistake. He had been thinking about it a lot as of late. It was kind of hard not to considering that she had actually bothered to come to class today. He couldn't fathom as to why.... Taking a deep breath, he sighed as he relaxed in his seat. Soon this would all be forgotten and he could just move on.

At the end of school, Gabe and Rio started to the car. "You're not going to hang around for pretend detention with Mr. McClain?"

Leia shook her head. "He seems a little shaken about the whole thing. Maybe you guys are right and I should just forget about it.'

Rio and Gabe exchanged glances. "That doesn't sound like you...is it suppose to be a joke?"

Leia laughed. "No...I just think that maybe I should consider his feelings...I don't want to ruin the guy."

Gabe hugged her. "Awww! She does have a heart in that small body."

Without detention to keep him there later, Patrick was the first teacher out to his car. The seats were still damp from where the water had gotten in, but he didn't care. She got him where he needed to which was good enough for him. Looking over at the sound of laughter, he hesitated, his eyes meeting Rio's before he got in his car. "Just forget that it ever happened," he muttered.

Gabe lifted Leia and she laughed. He threw her and Rio dashed for her. "Stop it! I'll hit the ground! I'm not a ball!" she yelled.

Rio hugged her closely. He never got to do that. "We should go out tonight."

"We could try that Chinese place," Gabe suggested.

"Ooo...that sounds good," she said.

Rio put her on her feet and opened the trunk. In the back were changes of clothes for them. They often kept clothes in the back for occasions like this. He tossed Leia some clothes then Gabe. Leia started changing before she was in the car. She took off her blouse and put on a new shirt over her undershirt. She slipped a denim skirt on then took off her uniform skirt. Gabe waited for her before opening the door and letting her in. The boys got in and changed while Leia looked out the window...her eyes looked on Patrick's car.

Patrick pulled away from the parking lot, heading to his normal after work place. Hopefully Ming would be waiting tonight. She always took good care of him, and she always charged him less for his food. It was a lesson he had learned long ago. Be nice to others and they will be nice to you. Checking his watch, he was glad to see that he had plenty of time. It was amazing what one could do when they weren't overseeing detention.

Going inside, he nodded to the hostess. "Ming, the usual please," he said with a smile.

When they pulled up to the Chinese restaurant, Leia didn't get out. Gabe and Rio looked at her in the back seat as they stood outside. "What are you doing?"

She pointed and they followed her finger. There was Patrick's car. "Maybe he's in another store. There is more than one place in this mini mall."

She looked up at then. "If he's in there, he'll think I'm stalking him."

"Who cares?" Gabe shrugged and pulled her out of the car. "What can he do about it? We are just going to forget anything happened and then move on."

"We can even have your schedule changed too...we can all change ours," Rio added as they walked in.

"Right," she nodded.

They were seated and Leia said on one side of the booth while Rio and Gabe sat on the other. They exchanged a few public kisses while Leia looked over the menu. A few seconds later the manager came out. He was one of her father's many friends and he wanted to extend a personal hello to Leia. Leia played nice and he offered to have a special dish prepared for them.

"Ming, could I have some more tea please?"

Ming smiled and nodded, taking his glass, she stopped only to say something to the manager. Matthew's eyes followed her movement, stopping when he saw the trio. It seemed that they too enjoyed the Chinese flavor. He was slightly disturbed that what he considered his sanctuary was now being invaded by his students. However, there was very little that he could do or even cared to do. When Ming came back, he nodded over to their booth. "Recommend the Triple Dragon special," he said. "They're my students. I think they'd enjoy it."

"Your teach recommended that you try the Triple Dragon combo," Ming informed them when she went to take their order.

Leia blushed. "Tell him thank you but the manager is making something special," she said. "And..." she slid a credit card to the lady, "this will cover his meal. Just between us."

Ming nodded and left. Gabe and Rio glared at Leia. "This is not letting it go!"

"I have enough money to buy this state. I mind as well do something with it. Leave me alone," she snapped.

There wasn't much that he could do. When he finished his meal, he was surprised to find out that it had already been paid for. Excusing himself, he started outside, making only a slight detour to their table. "I...appreciate your hospitality," he said slowly.

Leia didn't look up from her meal, but she did nod. Rio and Gabe looked from the two of them slowly as if they were watching a mid-day drama on TV.

"The next time you come back, you should really try that combo. The flavors are very exquisite. I'm certain that all of you would enjoy it."

"We won't be coming back," she said and her card was brought back. She stood along with the two boys. "Have a good night, Mr. McClain," she said quickly and walked out. Rio and Gabe were right behind her.

"Well that was awkward..."

"I didn't think he would come to the table," Leia said as they started to the car.

"You paid for his meal, of course he would say thank you," Rio said.

"I pay for you guys all the time and don't get a thank you. Who knew he was different?!"

The boys blushed. They didn't realize Leia minded paying for them. "Sorry, Leia..."

She turned to them. "Don't be like that. I don't mind buying or not getting a thank you. I'm just pointing out that I didn't expect him to come to the table."
