Red hummed as he fixed himself toast and peanut butter for breakfast. It had been a few weeks since his new relationship with Lance, but he didn't think it was a bad thing at all. Lance had been very gentle and he always made sure Red was satisfied too. The Champion smiled as he left the room, not noticing Bruno's speculative eyes watching him. No one really noticed the fighting-type trainer. After all, he did not have Lance's commanding presence or Lorelei's wintry chill or Agatha's aura of fear…

Bruno cracked his knuckles, and left the room. He watched as Red entered Lance's room, and nodded.

He had phone calls to make…

 

“Lance?”

The Dragon Master blinked. “Oh, hi Red.” He sounded distracted, but that was perfectly understandable, given that he was working furiously thorugh a towering stack of paperwork.

Red sighed. He had been hoping that they could cuddle a bit and have some more sex, but it seemed that Lance was busy.

He sat down next to the Dragon Master. Lance smiled, but said nothing as he continued to scan through printed text. After a few minutes, Red got up and went to the table, where he ate his breakfast quietly before flipping his mini-laptop open and getting to work.

There was so much to read through…

 

At ten-thirty, an alarm sounded. Both Champions glanced up, as a nasal female voice crackled over the intercom.

“Calling Champion Red to Stadium Two, calling Champion Red to Stadium Two…”

Red sighed, before shutting his laptop down. Moments later, he was in the Stadium, where the challenger awaited.

The battle was swift - the Challenger did not even have eight badges, so he was a pushover. He went back to Lance's room and found the trainer still busily working. Red hid a groan of disappointment, before he got back to work.

It was four P.M. by the time they were both finished.

 

Red happily saved his files and put his laptop down. “Can we have sex now?”

Lance shook his head. “If you insist, Champion.” He said quietly.

Red peered at him quizzically. “Is something wrong?” Maybe Lance was sick again. He sounded down.

Lance crossed his arms. “Red, do you think of me as an animal?”

That caused the Champion to almost drop his laptop in surprise. “What? Of course not!”

“Really?”

“Yes.” Red frowned. “Do you not want to?”

“It's not that…” Lance sighed. “We are friends, right?”

 

Red nodded vigorously. Lance was his first friend here - Lorelei was nice to talk to once in a while, but Bruno just wasn't the chatty type and Agatha scared him.

“And if I said no, would you force me?”

“I don't think so…” Red said hesitantly. “But why are you asking this question? It's strange.”

Lance half-smiled, before he stood up. “Because I like you more than friends.”

“More than friends?”

“Mmhmm.”

 

Red wracked his mind, before his eyes lit up. “You want to get married then?”

Lance face-vaulted. “Not quite, but close enough. I love you.”

“That's fine! I love you too!” Red chirped.

“I see…”

“Besides,” Red pouted, “If I wanted sex, I could have anyone I wanted, right?”

“… I suppose so?”

“So then I want you! Because…. Um…” Red colored, “I like you too.”

Lance pounced.

 

Red eeped, but didn't fight too much as Lance caressed him, and he was vaguely aware of Lance shifting forms somewhere in the blaze of pleasure, but it mattered little.

He didn't really care. He did care for Lance, and that was no lie, and the sex felt nice, but now that Lance wasn't sad any more it would be better, right?

Right.
