Red was having a nightmare.

Yellow hesitated in front of his door, not sure if she should go inside. She wanted to help him, but what if he didn't want her to?

Finally, she pushed the door open.

The Champion was tangled in a mess of blankets. He shifted, throwing an arm across his pillow. “No…”

What was he dreaming about?

“Don't…”

Yellow walked to his side. She could see faint, silvery tear tracks on his face.

“Please, don't leave me.” He moaned. “Lance, don't…”

Yellow's eyes went wide. Why on earth would he be dreaming about Lance, of all people? It didn't make sense!

“No!” Red bolted awake. Yellow ducked into the shadows.

The Pallet trainer wiped angrily at his eyes. “Why did you leave me, Lance? Why…”

That voice…

Yellow had never heard him speak like that to anyone! But she knew what it meant. Red loved Lance?

She watched as he smoothed down the blankets and went back to sleep, swallowing two pills.

Then she crept out, feeling guilty. Well, now she knew.

And she wished she didn't.
