Chapter 3

Iced mocha
As I stepped into the coffee shop, the smell of freshly
made coffee filled the room. I got in line behind this
girl, who I think should be in school since she was wearing
a school uniform, but I didn't both asking. As the girl
ordered something, I looked at the menu to see what I
should get. "Hi, what can I get you?" I looked back down
and just stared at the cashier. I wouldn't think that I
would be able to see her again but there she was right in
front of me, "I'll have a-uh an Iced Mocha with no whipped
cream." She smiled, "nice to meet you again, you're order
would be done soon," she said as I handed her the 3 dollars
for the coffee, "oh don't worry about it, I'll pay for it."
I smiled and placed my money back in my pocket and went to
find a seat.

She came to my table with my drink with a smile, "I didn't
know you go here." "I hardly do," I said while mixing my
mocha with the straw. "I'm sorry that I haven't introduced
myself to you yet, I'm EunJoo," she said sticking out her
hand for me to shake. I placed my coffee down and placed my
hand into hers, "I'm SeungHyun or TOP." "TOP? That's a
funny name," she said releasing her hand from mine. "Yeah,
it's because I have a friend with the same name as me so
his parents gets us confused sometimes when they try to
call their son and not me." "That makes perfect sense," she
said as she tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, "how
about we meet up later? I got to get back to work before my
manager yells at me." "Alright, how about the same park at
7?" "Okay, see you then," she said getting up to leave as I
waved at her.

I'm guessing there's something wrong with me, but for some
reason I couldn't wait to meet her again. After coming home
from work, I took a quick shower and got ready. I wore my
jeans with a loose t-shirt and my Nike's. I wore my other
BAPE jacket, just in case it was all of sudden cold
outside. I checked my watch and it was already 7, so I
locked up my apartment and walked over towards to the park.

Thinking that I would the first one there, I was wrong. She
was already sitting down at a bench looking at her
cellphone. "Sorry, did you wait long," I asked once I got
near her. She looked up and placed her cellphone in her
pocket, "nope, I just got here. So, what do you want to
do?" Shit, I didn't think of any plans, but I just winged
it, "how about a walk around the park since we're already
here?" She got up, "okay." We walked around the park twice
until she told me that she was getting hungry. I looked
around for some resturants but there wasn't any, just
street food.

I walked up to a street carts and asked for two plates of
spicy rice cakes. The old lady smiled at us, "what a cute
couple. You two are made for each other." EunJoo blushed as
I let out a small laugh, "thank you, granny." She continued
smiling at us, "I'll give you this meal, you don't have to
pay, just stay together forever for me." We both nodded
just to please the old lady but we're not even a couple
yet. "What a sweet lady," EunJoo said as we sat down at a
nearby table. "She thinks we're a couple," I said as I
handed her some napkins. "I know, but maybe we should have
told her that we're not," she said looking at the food,
"because we can't be." "Why is that," I asked while placing
a fork for her on her plate, "you're cute." "I told you not
to fall for me," she said looking at me. "I'm not," I said
putting my hands up for defense, "it's just a compliment."
"Well, then thank you," she smiled as she picked up her
fork as we both said together, "thanks for the meal." We
ate our meal in complete silence and when I walked her
home, just when I was about to turn to walk back to my
apartment, a pair of arms wrapped around me, "maybe we can
be a couple." I turned around to face her as she smiled
weakly at me and I gave her a kiss.
