Prologue: Night time reminder

His black hair had come untied long ago and was now sticky with sweat
and the blood of his enemies. His breath was coming out in ragged pants as he
slashed at the men coming at him. His sword cut through armor, flesh, and bone
smoothly, like cutting fresh cheese. He heard the groans of pain as he severed
arms and legs. He slashed through throats and torsos. The blood poured down
like rain filling his mouth with a rusty metallic taste. Tears ran down from
glowing green eyes as he cut through the last man. Then he saw it. The curled
form of a child.
"No!" he screamed as he ran to it. He dropped to his knees and tried to
wake the small figure. "Dead." he whispered. "No. NO! NO!!!"
Sirius came awake from his dream gasping for breath. It took a moment
for him to ralize where he was and calm his eratic heart beat. His damp raven
locks curled and stuck to his forehead. Sirius got out of bed, thinking a walk
would clear his head.
He moved quietly through the house, peeking through the slightly open
shoji doors to see if all of his siblings were alright. He had alot of them. Eight
in all, varying from seventeen to four. They were a handful, but Sirius didn't
mind.
Smiling softly and feeling much calmer, Sirius finished his rounds and
stepped into the cool night air. The trees swayed and creaked in the soft breeze.
Sirius shuddered and decided to check if the gate was locked.
'Guess I'm getting paranoid in my old age.' Sirius thought with a chuckle.
That's when he saw it. The gate was open only a bit, but it was enough.
Sitting in the opening was a large stone, smooth and round. On the front a
message was painted:
"Remember Hitomi. Meet me in Kyoto."
