"Jedaite!!"
roared Queen Beryl. Jedaite appeared
and winced as he heard the sharpness in her tone.

"Yes
my queen?" he asked as cautiously as possible.

"Why
haven't you succeeded in your mission?!" she asked ruthlessly.

"The
sailor senshi..." stuttered Jedaite.

"I
don't care!!" she bellowed.
"It's bad enough that you haven't collected a good amount of
energy, but now, we have two senshi to content with" she ended her rants
with a growl.

Jedaite
bowed apologetically. "Gomen Nasai
my Queen. I'll take care of it right
away" Jedaite then disappeared,
and left Queen Beryl with her thoughts.

This
is the beginning of my deluded life, she thought.

"Good
Usagi-chan" commented Akane cheerfully as Usagi did a good kata.

"Really? Arigatou Akane-chan" smiled Usagi.

"I
still don't understand this sudden interest into learning how to fight"
sighed Luna as she lapped the sweet milk Kasumi had given her. Usagi's eyes narrowed and her smile
disappeared.

"Ranma
thinks I'm weak, so, I'm going to prove him wrong" said Usagi.

Luna
sweat dropped. "I wish she was
this motivated to defeat the Dark Kingdom" mumbled Luna.

"Usagi
is one of a kind" said Akane.
Usagi ignored their statements and continued practicing.

***

"Sailor Moon.....I'll kill
you. I'll kill you when none of your
boy toys are there to rescue you..."

"Where
have you been all weekend?" asked Ranma as he walked to school with
Usagi.

"Akane's"
she answered simply.

"Why?"
he wondered.

"It's
none of your business" huffed Usagi as she walked briskly ahead of
him. Usagi's actions puzzled Ranma.

Usagi and Ranma entered the
school grounds together. Usagi
immediately spotted Akane and Nabiki.
Usagi approached the two Tendo sisters, with Ranma in tow.

"Hey
Akane-chan!!" greeted Usagi to her blue-haired martial-artist. Akane turned to face her, her face was the
opposite of Usagi's face.

"What's
wrong Akane-chan?" asked Usagi.

Nabiki
then stepped forward. "Tatewaki Kuno
is coming to Juuban High today" she supplied.

This
guy must be something if Nabiki didn't charge me for this information, thought
Usagi.

"So?"
asked Ranma impatiently.

"Kuno
led the entire male student body to defeating me. He declared that whoever defeated me would be able to go out with
me" stated Akane.

"Well,
what did you do Akane-chan?" asked Usagi.

"She
beat them all up before school" stated Nabiki simply. Ranma and Usagi facefaulted and Akane turned
away from embarrassment.

"Akane-chan...."
started Usagi, but, she was cut off by Ranma.

\"Man....what
an uncute, violent tomboy" spoke Ranma.
Akane was about to punch Ranma, but, someone beat her to it.

"How
dare you call the lovely Akane that?!" he exclaimed. Akane dropped her head in despair.

"Ranma,
meet Kuno. Kuno, Ranma" muttered
Akane. Ranma stared at Kuno in
awe. He looked exactly like Mamoru!!! Well, he wore the garbs for the Kendo club
and he had a katana in hand.

"Hey,
would you happen to be related to a Mamoru Chiba?" asked Ranma.

"No. How is it that you are so friendly with the
lovely Akane?" asked Kuno.
"Well....ya see...." stammered Ranma, Ranma then grabbed
Usagi. "Here, she'll explain
it!!" Usagi glared at Ranma.

To
Usagi's surprise, Kuno had taken her hand in his.

"Your
are even more lovelier than Akane. What
is your name?" Kuno asked. Usagi
sweat dropped. Ranma stared, agaped. Nabiki was smirking, thinking of the new profits
she could make, and Akane just stood there in despair.

"Um....It's
Usagi...Usagi Tsukino" stated Usagi nervously.

"Usagi....what
a beautiful name!! I shall give you the privilege of going on a date with
me!!" exclaimed Kuno. Usagi looked
at him strangely, Akane was still in despair, Nabiki was calculating how much
money she could make and Ranma was angry.

Ranma
then cut in between the two.
"Hey!! Usagi's my fiancée!!" he exclaimed.

Kuno
turned to glare at Ranma. "Not
only are you familiar with the lovely Akane Tendo, but you are engaged to the
sweet Usagi Tsukino! This is unforgivable!" Kuno exclaimed.

"So,
what are you going to do about it?" asked Ranma hotly. Kuno stood there in a solemn position.

"We
shall duel for the two of them" stated Kuno. Usagi was mad, as was Akane.
But. Usagi had faith that Ranma wouldn't accept the stupid request.

"When
and where?" responded Ranma. Both,
Akane and Usagi, sweat dropped. Nabiki
was already ,making advertisements and awaiting the information she needed to
complete them. Usagi and Akane pulled
Ranma by the collar.

"Ranma!!
You aren't serious are you?!" Both female martial artists exclaimed. Ranma nodded, a slight nervous note in his
voice, as he found a small ounce of courage to speak.

"Hai. This is about honor" he stated
solemnly, yet, in a squeaky voice.
Akane dropped her hold on him.
She huffed, and turned away, walking inside.

"I
don't care what you do, you jerk! But, don't come crying to me when you
lose!!" she yelled over her shoulder.
Ranma got angry by her comment.

"I'm
not going to lose you uncute tomboy!" he yelled back. He then looked at Usagi, Usagi's eyes had
gone soft.

"Ranma…this
fight is pointless, so, why are you going through with it?" she
questioned. Ranma couldn't help but
feel a slight feeling in his heart. He
couldn't let this jerk take Usagi from him.
Even now…he could see that he was starting to fall in love with her….

"It's-It's
because of my honor…" He almost said it, he almost said that he loved
her. But, his manliness was on the
line. He wasn't about to admit his
feelings to her. Usagi also then turned
away.

"All
right Ranma, I'll be there to support you, even if I go against it" she
stated softly. Ranma felt as if sadden
by her sullen mood, and he couldn't figure out why she was suddenly
saddened. He was doing this for her….

"Saturday,
at two o' clock. Here" spoke Kuno
as he revealed the information, Nabiki quickly wrote down the information on
the poster, and began to advertise it.
Ranma nodded in agreement and began to head to class.

He's
only a door away…a room away, then how come, I feel so distant from him. Usagi couldn't understand her feelings
towards Ranma. It confused her to no
end. She was starting to think that
maybe she was in love with him. If
Akane was in love with him…..he couldn't bring her self to thinking that. She wanted all her friends to find
happiness, so, if that meant giving up Ranma, she'd do that in a heartbeat.

Usagi
looked up as she saw Luna knocking at her window. Usagi quickly went over to let her in, knowing full well the
coldness that was biting everyone at this time of year.

"What
is it, Luna-chan?" asked Usagi immediately. Luna then came in, shaking a little from the frostbite she
received on the way over.

"Usagi-chan,
command center reported that there is another senshi in the area" answered
Luna.

"Another…senshi…?"
questioned Usagi. Luna nodded.

"From
the energy reading that was picked up, it looks like it could be Sailor
Mars. We need to find her quickly,
before the Dark Kingdom moves on with their plans" stated Luna. Usagi nodded in agreement. There was then a knock on Usagi's door, Luna quickly made a safe jump from the
window to the tree, and Usagi quickly shut it.

"Come
in!" she answered hurriedly as she sat down on her bed. Ranma then entered.

"Akane
and them are downstairs, they want to speak with you" stated Ranma. Usagi nodded and followed him
downstairs. She gasped as she saw
Akane's ankle bandaged up.

"Akane,
daijobu ka?" questioned Akane as she went beside her. Akane nodded.

"It's
just a sprain" answered Akane.

"She
hurt herself practicing for Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics" said
Nabiki. Usagi then noticed that it was
just the three Tendo sisters here for today.

"Martial
Arts Rythmic Gymnastics?" questioned Usagi.

"Hai,
I was suppose to represent our school against T*A Private School, but, I'm
injured now" explained Akane.
"Usagi-chan, would you please take my place?"

Before
Usagi could reply, Ranma spoke.
"You expect her to take your place?!" he exclaimed. Usagi turned to him.

"Why
can't I?" she demanded. Ranma
glared at her slightly.

"Because…you
could get hurt! I mean, you are already
so klutzy, and you have no grace what so ever" stated Ranma. He regretted his words once he saw the
sadness fill her eyes.

"Is
that what you think of me Ranma?" she questioned. Ranma didn't know what to say. "If that is true then, you shouldn't
worry about it, I'll do fine. Also, I
hope you do fine when you fight Kuno, because, I won't be there to support
you!" she finished with a yell as she stomped upstairs to her room.

Once
Usagi was in her room, she let the tears fall, and she sobbed quietly.

'How
could I have thought that I was in love with him!' She thought, 'I even hoped
that he had returned my feelings….well, I was wrong…..'

Gomen
ne, Usagi-chan, thought Ranma to himself.
He listened to the sounds of her struggling practice. All he wanted to do right now was to see her
smiling face again. But, it wouldn't
happen. Not now anyway. Then, Ranma knew it, he really knew it, he
was in love with Usagi. Deeply in love.

He
closed his eyes. He had ruined his
chance though. They had such a friendly
relationship, and now it was ruined with simple words. Simple words that were intended for her
safety. He sighed, and knew what he had
to do. He walked out of his substantial
room, and went downstairs towards the dojo of the Tsukino household. He glared as the little black piglet walked
by him.

What
are you up to, Ryoga, he wondered to himself.
He opened the door to the dojo, Akane and Usagi were discussing her
technique. Usagi seemed to have been
struggling alot.

"You
guys need any help?" he asked.
Both females turned and glared slightly at him.

Usagi
was the first to speak. "No"
she replied hastily.

"You
didn't seem to be getting this, so, I thought I'd offer to help" shrugged
off Ranma.

"Like
you know anything of Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics" retorted Akane.

"Actually
I don't but, I do know martial arts better than the two of you" he stated.

"I'll
be able to help" spoke a voice from behind. All three of them turned to see Ryoga.

"Ryoga!"
Usagi greeted him cheerily. Ryoga
blushed deeply, and Ranma looked at him checkily.

"Hey
P-chan" he grumbled to the eternal lost boy. Ryoga punched Ranma, still blushing.

Usagi
had a scowl set on her face.
"You're not picking on Ryoga-san again, are you Ranma?" she
demanded. Ranma rubbed his sore head,
and shook his head.

"If
any, P-chan's picking on me..." he muttered. Ryoga glared at him evenly.

"Who
are you calling P-chan...?" demanded Ryoga icily.

"Ryoga-san,
you know Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics?" questioned Usagi hopefully.

Ryoga
nodded. "Hai, I do Usagi-san. I'm willing to teach you, if you want"
A slight blush appeared on his cheeks again.

Usagi
nodded quickly. "Of course"

Usagi
and Ryoga began their practice session, as Akane and Ranma watch from the side.

"Ryoga-san
seems to really like Usagi-chan. Demo,
Usagi-chan seems to be clueless towards his feelings" spoke Akane.

'That
stung...' thought Ranma to himself.
"Why are you telling me this? Are you jealous of Usagi?"
questioned Ranma.

"I
think you are the one jealous of Ryoga-san" replied Akane.

"I
think you have it all wrong" 'hmphed' Ranma.

***

"Come
on Usagi-chan, you have to come and see Ranma's match against Kuno. Nabiki has been advertising it like crazy,
and would be dissappointed if you didn't come" said Akane.

Usagi
shook her head. "I've made up my
mind. I already said I wasn't going to
go, and that is final"

"You
need a break from all this practice.
Plus, I know you're dying to go" urged Akane.

Usagi
sighed. It looked like she had no
choice. She would be bugged till no end
till she finally agreed to go.
"Fine I'll go. Demo,
Ryoga-san will have to come with us. I
already told him to stop by this afternoon for another practice session"

Akane
grinned. "Fine by me"

I
don't see the point of me being out here.
Without Usagi, it seems all too meaningless.

Ranma
looked around to see where the youngest Tendo sister was hiding. He already knew she was going to be here, as
well as the money grubbing middle Tendo sister. Kasumi was at home working on the next meal. Mr. Tendo, Ranma hadn't heard from him in a
while. Strange.

"Ranma!"
called a voice. Ranma turned to see
Akane waving. Also accompanied by a
reluctant Usagi and the eternal lost boy himself. He seemed to be having trouble staying put. Knowing that if he moved, he may never see
Juuban for another 4 months.

He
waved back slightly. Momentarily forget
about the match as his eyes locked on the blonde girl. She seemed slightly flustered. In the moments that passed buy, Kuno finally
showed up. Kuno became furious when he
saw where Ranma was looking.

"Shall
we begin, Saotome?" called Kuno

Ranma
turned towards him and nodded. "Ready
when ever you are Kuno" he smirked.

Kuno
dealt the first attack.

"Hmm…my
dear brother has caught such a handsome young opponent. Perfect" whispered a sulky voice.

"Who
is she?" questioned someone as they saw
the girl in strange attire.

"Don't
know" answered another.

In
a swirl of black petals, the young woman in question was gone.

"Did
you see that…?"

"See
what? I didn't see anything, here anything nor am I going crazy"

***

"Take
this!" yelled Ranma as he threw a punch this fight was really irritating
him. He hated to admit it, but the
wanna be Mamoru was holding up. Pretty
good might he add. But, he was getting
sick of this VERY fast. No doubt Ryoga
was having a great time criticizing his every move. The first mistake he made in this match was underestimating his
opponent. He knew his ego would one day
get him into trouble.

Usagi
felt something hit her skin. She looked
up, and saw dark clouds hanging over her head.
Rain… The only thought
that ran through Usagi's head that she forgot to bring an umbrella,
nonetheless, a jacket. Then, her eyes
snapped wide. Ranma! She turned towards Ryoga, but already saw
him gone. Then, swished her head
towards Akane. But, Akane was buying an
umbrella from Nabiki. Usagi
sweatdropped. How was she going to warn
him, she may have been mad at him, but not anymore, and his reputation was at
stake.

"Ranma--!"
her warning was too late as raining began pounding, and…a BIG panda swooped
down and took Ranma just as his change occurred.

"Saotome-san…."
Mumbled Usagi. Usagi got up, and began
to walk towards the direction of the running panda.

"Why
did you interfere?" exclaimed Ranma-chan.

He
held up a sign. You would have lost
anyway.

"So
glad my father has such faith in me" drawed Ranma-chan sarcastically.

Warm
water splashed onto Ranma. "In your
previous state, you really would have lost"

"Eh,
what do you know Usagi" muttered Ranma

"A
lot more than you think" shot back Usagi.
Usagi handed the hot water kettle over to Genma.

"Where
did that coward go?" demanded Kuno out loud.
"That coward…"

"Oh,
I wouldn't say he is that. He is
actually quite handsome"

Kuno
turned, and faced his younger sibling.
"Hello Kodachi"

Kodachi
lifted her hood, and smiled. "I thought
I'd see how your fight would fair, brother dear"

Kuno
nodded. "I see. If only that coward would show up though"

"I
am not a coward" spoke Ranma.

The
shine shone on the young aqua-transexual martial artist, Usagi right behind
him. Usagi turned as she saw Akane and
Ryoga running towards them. Usagi
smiled at them.

"Alright,
then let's finish this fight" stated Ranma.

Akane
gasped. She saw the young black haired
girl standing next to Kuno. "You're the
girl who ambushed our team! You're the reason they came to me to participate in
the Rythmic Gymnastic Competition"

Kodachi
smiled, and nodded. "Hai, and I can't
wait for the day of the competition"

"I
won't be participating, Usagi here will" said Akane as she gestured to
Usagi. "I got injured while practicing"

"Oh,
then let me properly introduce myself. I am Kodachi Kuno. It's a pleasure to meet you. I can't wait for our match" she supplemented. She turned her attention to Ranma. "And, I hope to see you there as well"

She
turned, and left in a swirl of black rose petals.

Usagi
was slightly peeved at the way she was looking at Ranma.

"Look
at this! She left at least a truck load of black rose petals behind!" exclaimed
Akane

chapter done. I'm moving on up my list
of things need to be written.
