Epilogue
“I now pronounce you husband and wife!”
And Usagi Tsukino (now Chiba) and Mamoru Chiba kissed by
the crucifix at the altar. As they parted, she gasped, “Ah.”
“What?” Mamoru asked, concerned.
“I felt it,” she explained. “The feeling a new star will
be born.” ‘Soon we will have a daughter,’ she thought. ‘A new Sailor
Senshi.’ “Oh…” she sighed, happily.
The newlyweds then turned to walk down the aisle that led
outside of the cathedral. As they passed through their bridegroom
Generals and bridesmaid Senshi, Mamoru thought, ‘Soon my Generals
will marry Usagi’s Inner Senshi. And it won’t be long until the Moon
Kingdom Generals will propose to the Outer Senshi.’
“Mamo-chan?” Usagi asked.
“Yes?” he replied as they stopped by the arch entrance of
the cathedral.
“Until the day we finish our duty…do you think we can
protect this planet together?”
“Of course.”
“Can we live together? Forever?”
“I promise, Usako,” he vowed. “We will always be
together.”
Tears welled up in her eyes as he caressed her face.
Reaching up, Usagi gently pulled Mamoru down for a kiss. ‘I will
promise, too,’ she vowed, thoughtfully. ‘I will always protect you.’
Breaking the kiss, they turn to see all of the Senshi bridesmaids,
laughing and coming towards them. Usagi stepped toward them. ‘And I
will always protect our precious friends.’
Mamoru stood, with a serious face, as he watched his bride
happily laughing with her Senshi. She turned to him, smiling, and
called out, “Mamo-chan!”
As all the General bridegrooms gathered on either side of
him, he thought, ‘Even someday, when we disappear…and new Sailor
Senshi are born…Sailor Moon, you will always be invincible…”
Still smiling, Usagi held out her hand to her groom.
Mamoru finished his thoughts. ‘…the most beautiful shining
star.’
And the bells rang loudly in the cathedral.
