A/N: I've been getting lazy from lack of reviews that really told you all appreciated this. And I've been playing MegaMan Battle Network 2 to play. I continue on though since I told myself I would do this story. For those who have played Sonic Adventure 2 or 2: Battle, please send me suggestions for some emerald locations that I can use, e-mail me your suggestions and I will give you credit to this story if you do. Oh yeah, I found out about a mistake I made. When I was checking the map on the stage select screen, I found out that the prison was actually on the island. So pretend that when Tails entered the elevator in the last chapter, It took him underground and across the water to the island, ok? Now I will go on to the story.

Chapter 4: Prison Island Escape

Amy sneaked through a hallway and then peeked across the corner to see if anyone was there. She saw Sonic's cell and two guards positioned around it. Suddenly a voice came from behind.

"Amy, wait up!" Tails called. Amy looked back to see Tails in his walker coming over. She looked back across and saw that the guards had gotten up to investigate. Tails somehow knew what he had done and motioned Amy to jump into the grate that was above her. She quickly smashed the panel off with a swing of her Piko Piko Hammer. She then jumped into the open passageway to hide. Tails also quickly threw a walkie-talkie to her.

The guards rounded the corner with guns out and then immediately stopped at the Cyclone's feet. "Hands up, drop your guns, and lead me to the nearest cell away from here unless you want your head blasted off," Tails bluffed. The guards complied and Tails led them down the hallway.

Amy's walkie-talkie started to buzz and Amy pressed what looked like the on button. Tails' voice came from it. "Amy, go get Sonic and meet me out in the jungle where the elevator entered the base, ok?"

"Sure Tails, I'll be right there with Sonic soon," Amy responded. She kept going through the air duct so the security cameras wouldn't see her. She finally found her way to the panel that she thought was in front of Sonic's cell.

Sonic saw the guards go around the corner and then started pacing to loosen his muscles. Any second now Tails would come running around the corner to save him. He then looked up as he heard a sound come from the air vent in front of his cell.

"Huh? Amy?" Sonic said as Amy landed right in front of him.

"Shhh! Keep your voice down," Amy quickly said, "Have no fear, Amy Rose is here"

"How'd you get here?" Sonic asked while continuing his exercises since he knew they would have to make a quick escape soon.

"Well if you gotta know, I caught a ride with Tails," She answered. She looked to see Sonic seemed to be ignoring her. "Are you sure you don't need my help? It looks like you can use it." She says while waving a security card she had stolen.

Sonic noticed the playful tone she was using and was afraid where this might lead. "The reason I'm in here is because of that fake hedgehog."

"You mean that black hedgehog?"

"Did you see it?" Sonic asked, running to the cell wall in excitement to finally face that guy, "Where did it go?"

Amy decided to try to trick Sonic, "If I told you, would you marry me?"

"No Way!"

"I thought I had you this time," She finally slips the keycard through the lock and lets Sonic free. As Sonic walks past she decides to start to fill him in to what has happened. "That black hedgehog came here with Dr. Eggman."

"So Eggman's behind this, huh?" Sonic starts to jog off to find an exit

Amy sees something in the cell and goes to take a closer look. "What's all that writing on the wall, anyway? Did you write that?" She turns around wondering why there is no answer. "Wait for me Sonic! He's such a brat sometimes"

Amy starts running after him and catches up, "Tails wants us to meet him on the south side of the island. I know the way so follow me!"

Amy starts running with Sonic in tow. While running Sonic realizes that Amy has become a lot faster and is nearly as fast as Tails. The two are running down passageways when an alarm went off.

"The guards must have realized I'm not in my cell. Amy, you get to the exit and meet up with Tails, I'll find a way to keep the security off our tails." Sonic quickly runs off in a different direction. Amy is about to go after to give him the walkie-talkie but hears guards coming and decides to do what Sonic said.

Sonic meanwhile keeps having to double back through hallways to avoid guards until he finds a lift that takes him to the to the Metal harbor hangar. Sonic knew a hangar meant that he could probably highjack a plane and use his minimal flying skills to crash land it back on the island but in the forest.

"Hey you! Don't move!" Sonic recognized the voice to be the same helicopter pilot from two days ago.

The copter pilot couldn't believe it when he went to get some coffee he saw two guards in cells. He couldn't believe when he heard that Dr. Eggman was on the island and had blown up almost every extra Hunter robot and Blue Eagle plane was destroyed. He couldn't believe when he heard that a pink hedgehog and a two-tailed fox in a walker had gotten on the island and were trying to save their friend Sonic. He couldn't believe that that someone had snuck into the vault and was stealing the last three chaos emeralds, after the dark blue one had been stolen only a few days ago. And now he couldn't believe that now Sonic was about to enter the Metal Harbor Hangar, using the pathway that was still being constructed, was being used for a training place for session by new pilots, and was that very exact day was going to launch a shuttle that would release a global positioning satellite that would be used to track down Sonic and his friends.

"Hey you! Don't move!" the pilot shouted to stop Sonic. All Sonic did was turn and flash him a grin, then continue down the passage. The pilot saw Sonic almost at the tunnel that would take him outside to the harbor. The pilot knew that up ahead there were tramlines that worked like roller coasters that would take you to various construction zones and also used rings as a guideline to cross some ocean parts. He also knew that the trams required keys that were needed to drive them but only construction workers had keys. Plus he knew that Sonic probably wasn't going to use one anyway.

Stage: 04 Metal Harbor

Mission: Escape the Military Base

Sonic ran down a hill of steel in the sunlight picking up speed until he hit a jump pad that launched him to the next part of the harbor. He then hit a speed pad, which gave him enough speed to run a loop-d-loop. He continued and saw some rings pointing to a rail. He ran through rings absorbing them into his body. He jumped onto the rail and started grinding as he was counting out 4 rings that he picked up. After all the adventures using rings he had gone through with Tails and Knuckles, all 3 of them had the power to count out the rings without a ring bracelet since they have used them so much.

Sonic ran on ahead and started to go down a hill. As he went down gathered a lot of extra speed to reach his top regular speed of 100mph. When the hill flattened out, he went about 10 yards across flat ground in a split second, until he hit a bumper sending him sideways onto another walkway. He quickly ran forward into another bumper that sent him now to a set bumpers placed all around a couple of support beams holding up some cylinders. After the bumpers ended and Sonic landed on solid ground, he looked to see an expanse of ocean ahead and a bunch of enemies he could use to get him across like he did in the capital city.

`I wonder what that city was named anyway?' he thought as he did homing attacks across the expanse, until he landed at the next construction tower. As he looked ahead, he saw another expanse of water even larger than the last one but instead of enemies there was a line of rings to connect the construction site. Across the water you could vaguely see a hangar.

"How will I get across that?" he called to no one in particular, but then something told him to look up. He looked up and saw a platform connected to a tower that was to his left. He walked to the tower and saw an automatic pulley with a handle that would take him up. He grabbed the handle and tugged on it and suddenly he was up in the air. He jumped to the platform and saw in a small stone ring and bathed in an eerie green glow a pair of sneakers that looked just like his new Soaps that were made for running on the ground and grinding rails. The only thing that was different about them was that they had special green clips on the back of the heels.

"Now I remember, those clips were the same ones that were on the sneakers I got in Station Square," Sonic said, referring to his last adventure in where he got a pair of sneakers that allowed him to do the light speed dash, a move where after he concentrated energy into the sneakers through a spin dash, he could dash along a line of rings collecting the rings at the same time.

Sonic jumped into the glow to pick up the sneakers, but as soon as he was landing, somehow the sneakers magically appeared on his feet in a flash. His now old sneakers were nowhere to be seen.

As Sonic wondered if maybe Tikal or Chaos had left the sneakers there for him to find, Sonic leaped down back on to the ground. He walked up to the rings and saw his sneakers start to flash. The other pair needed to be charged up to flash, so now he had no idea how to get across. He decided to touch one of the rings wondering if he had to concentrate to use them. As he touched the rings he concentrated on getting across the expanse. Suddenly before he had a split second to think, he was going through the line of rings, collecting every ring that he went through until he was left at the end of the line, where he realized that the rings weren't in a straight line but instead curved upwards into the air. As he fell down to the ground he saw a group of planes coming at him.

"Uh oh," he said as he landed down on the hangar, immediately moving forward thanks to the unluckiness of landing on a speed pad probably used to help propel a plane into the air. Sonic ran along the hangar dodging bombs being dropped from the planes and looking left and right seeing not one plane there. Sonic decided to abandon the plan and get to the next site where they couldn't bomb him unless they wanted to destroy the site.

Sonic was finally almost to the other side but saw that there was an even bigger expanse of water to cross. As he got closer he saw that there was another line of rings. Sonic concentrated on getting across and a split second after he touched the rings, he was brought to the other side after being flung left and right. He landed and ran straight into another line and went across the turn at light speed. After all this Sonic felt like he finally got the hang of these shoes. He landed on a speed pad and did a half loop that ended while he was still up side down, but sent him into a bumper that propelled him down a short hill, which at the end of he decided to stop and think about where he would go next. He looked up ahead and to the far left and saw a rocket being prepped to launch into space and workers were currently moving away so they wouldn't be there to get there buts burned off from the rockets propulsion. Sonic looked back to the island and saw a tunnel that lead to a platform that seemed to have panels that could open out for the tunnel. On the platform he also saw a mini-rocket that was pointing towards the island.

"I wonder how that got there?" he asked to no one in particular. Then suddenly he got an idea. "I have to get on that rocket before it blasts off!" he said running forward now that he had a plan. He ran up to a tower with a pulley on the other side but was blocked by a locked door. The door was about half a foot above the ground though so Sonic did a small roll under the door and grabbed the pulley all in one motion. As he got to the top and jumped out, he had to do the same thing again. This time at the top he jumped to the left and started to run down a hill that sent him on more speed pads to take him through another loop-d-loop. He went around a wide left and then as he started to go through a wide right, he decided to jump onto the outer rail of the turn to grind through it, collecting rings. When the turn and rail ended, he jumped off and into a small roll that brought him under another locked door. On the other side there was an expanse of water with a bunch of enemies that were turning towards him after hearing his footsteps. Sonic quickly homing attacked across the expanse. Sonic ran up to a rocket on this new platform and heard a loud voice saying that the shuttle would launch in 15 seconds.

`Have to hurry,' Sonic thought as he ran to a panel that gave you mini-rockets with a preset destination. Sonic stepped on a switch in front of the panel and a mini-rocket came out. Sonic grabbed the handle and pushed down, causing the rocket to start up into the air. As soon as Sonic was over the lowest catwalk, he let go and landed.

"T minus 10 seconds" The voice called out and Sonic decided that now was the time to MOVE! He started running around the catwalk trying to get to a low lever he had seen before that he could grab onto.

"10…9…8…7…"

Sonic ran to a speed pad that sent him up a steep hill that would take him to the opposite side of the rocket that had the lever. Sonic kept on moving and made a turn.

"…6…"

Sonic made another turn.

"…5…"

And another.

"…4…"

He hit a speed pad that propelled him down a rather short part of catwalk

"…3…"

He made a sharp turn that caused him to trip

"…2…"

He got up and started to slowly run towards the bumper that would push him to the the handle he needed to grab.

"…1…"

Sonic knew he couldn't run there in time so jumped and immediately went into a homing attack a split second later.

"…0, Rocket Launch"

The rocket launched with Sonic into the air. Sonic judged how far the tunnel he needed to get was because he knew he knew that if he tried to jump straight onto the platform he would be knocked out from the height, he wasn't as good with landings from high places as was Tails and Knuckles. When the air began to get thin and hard to breathe, Sonic let go and started to fall straight down concentrating on landing in the shoot and slide down. As he was getting close he realized that the tunnel was closed up.

"Ahh man!" Sonic said, not knowing that the vent had a cover. Sonic suddenly got an idea and tried to aim his feet like he did when street boarding in the city. With all his speed he was able to land on an individual panel of the cover. By landing at an angle he was able to use his free falling speed and convert it into speed instead of becoming splat. Sonic boarded through the rather large tunnel going at high speeds and hitting ring boxes that must have gotten stuck and forgotten in the tunnel. Sonic then came out of the tunnel hitting a speed pad and losing the "board" he was using but was able to go through a loop-d-loop and hit a jump pad landing on the platform he had seen before.

"Time to go," Sonic said as he stepped on the switch to bring out a rocket. The rocket that was there launched off by itself and another came out. He grabbed this new mini-rocket and pulled the lever activating it and launching him into the forest of the island. As he felt that he was in a good spot to land, he let go of the mini-rocket and landed on a small platform. There was what seemed to be a small platform. In the distance he saw some robots. It seemed they patrol the island for escapees. Sonic realized he must be in the middle of the forest since there wasn't a lot of water. He looked ahead and down and saw a platform that could be an excellent battlefield. If only that fake hedgehog was here he would fight him right now. Everything that had happened for the last three days was his entire fault.

"Well so far so good," he said, getting ready to leave and find Tails and Amy. Suddenly he heard a sound come from the tree branches. "Hey that's…" He said as he looked up to see who it was and saw that his wish had come true.

"That blue hedgehog again, of all places" a black hedgehog with red quill points said while throwing up his arms. Obviously he wasn't having a good day.

"I found you, faker!" Sonic said as he took a step further and pointed an accusing finger at Shadow the Hedgehog.

A/N: Well, this is great. Sonic is angry and gets to vent out at Shadow, but Shadow also seems to be mad at something. Well next chapter will be another boss fight and one more level afterward to end this section of the story. Now if I get at least 5 reviews asking for it, I may start the Dark Side Story so you all will know how the 2 stories link together. Now I won't start the next chapter until I get 5 reviews asking for more from both mediaminer.org and fanfiction.net altogether. Or I might just get bored from waiting to send in one. I'll try to concentrate more on adding more chapters too so don't worry, but your reviews give me motivation. Without any I won't update that much and when school starts in September it will be hard to update so I'm trying to have 3 different stories up by then.
