Character descriptions:

Yamamoto Yohko:
Half Belgium/ Half Japanese, Genius and pilot of the highly advanced spacecraft Super StrikeTA-29. Equipped with the extremely powerful 'Everblack Cannon', it can send an enemy ship into oblivion. Her ship is equipped with the 'Grapple Attack' to be used to grapple enemy ships then send a powerful wave of destruction. Kind-hearted, soft-spoken and slow to anger, She is heiress to the famous 'Hakuhoin Martial Arts Dojo'...she's rather good at martial arts too.She has been best friends with Yohko since since they were children and still remains her dearest and closest friend. to persuade Yohko to go back to her original time which is 1000 years in the past.

============================================================ =====

Just to recap, Yohko and the rest of the girls came back from a space battle which almost left Ayano a dead target for the enemy ship due to a certain maneuver she tried to pull. At her failed attempt, Ayano began to wonder if Yohko was losing in Ayano's piloting abilities.

Yohko found Ayano still inside her ship's cockpit and asked what was wrong. She finally explained how she inferior she was compared to her extremely skilled best friend. This startled Yohko for she wasn't expecting another inferiority complex relapse from Ayano since the time they had their dreadful space battle against each other as a result of Ayano's emotional state and and Zenga's/Old Timer's brainwashing effect on her. Nevertheless, she explained how important Ayano was to her and the team. This, of course, made Ayano feel much better.

Back at the Base, Lawson and Admiral Leon had a couple surprises in store for Yohko. One being her old space-pilot uniform and the 2nd was the reappearance of her ol' friend, Hayase Mizuki. Apparently when Yohko was first recruited to be Terra's pilot in the year 2999, we find out that Mizuki trained with her. This lead to both of them becoming good friends.

Though Yohko was faced with a decision of whether to go back to her own time period, Mizuki decided to stay in the future to keep piloting even if it meant being separated from her good friend. Now with Yohko back but as a part time pilot, Mizuki is more excited than ever to have her dear friend back...but what's this?! Yohko came back with three other friends from the same high school she attends and they're pilots as well?! Not to mention that there's one particular pilot that Yohko seems to be quite fond of! Is jealousy and rivalry in the air? Tune in and find out as we continue with "Ghosts from the Past Chap2" We left off with Mizuki tracking some dirt...eh...useful information on a particular person.

===================================================== ==================

"...Why would she still continue to be friends with a traitor and why does everyone else here act if she's done nothing wrong? That traitor, I'm certain she's got everyone
brainwashed!"

As soon as Mizuki received the complete data, she rushed down Terra's corridors and as soon as she turned the corner, this blinding light appeared and was struck down by an anxious Mizuki who was in such a hurry to find Yohko.

(cheap sound effects)SMACK!!!

"ITAI!!" (Or OUCH!! )

"Madoka, is that you? Oh, I'm so sorry for running into you like that! It's just..."

"...IT'S JUST WHAT?!!" Madoka was starting to lose her patience. "You should really watch where you're going!"

"Yes, I know and I'm REALLY sorry. It's just that there was this blinding light coming
from around the corner and.."

"..And just what are you implying?!!

"uh...nothing..I just..

"Are you implying that my forehead is the cause of this accident?!"

" Well no, I..."

"Hmph...go figure! You definitely a friend of Yohko's."

"Eh? What's that gotta to do with...oh never mind...anyway, speaking of Yohko, do you happen to know where she is right about now?"

"I don't keep track of that Neko Musume's whereabouts. Though you might find her in
the cafeteria which is where I'm heading right now to meet up with Momiji and Ayano."

"Ayano is gonna be there?"

"Well yeah."

"Oh..uh....

"Are you coming or not?" asked a very impatient Madoka

"Yes, I suppose."

Mizuki originally wanted to talk to Yohko alone but, she figured she could use this as a chance to study Ayano's actions and maybe pick up on why everyone seems to be so nice to Ayano as if she had done no wrong. Mizuki thought to herself, "Hmmm...maybe I can get Ayano alone instead. I could start out with simple questions about her life and then work my way to the not so nice ones...well maybe I shouldn't interrogate her in front of Yohko since she's obviously means a lot to her... but I'll get to the bottom of this soon enough. I'll figure out what the true Ayano is really like. This won't be an easy task but, I have to keep reminding myself that I'm doing this for Yohko. I won't let that Ayano hurt her anymore. I'll make you pay, Hakuhoin Ayano Elizabeth!"

They finally reached the cafeteria and found everyone present and just as Madoka had mentioned, Ayano was there as well. "Now to proceed with the plan to bring the traitor down." Mizuki was determined.

"Hello everyone!"

"It's about time you showed up. What took ya so long, Madoka-chan"

"I had a little accident."

"What kind of an accident?"

"Well let's just say I had a little run in with someone."

"I'm afraid it was my fault...see, I was blinded by this really bright light and...

"Hahahahahahahahahah!

"What's so funny Neko Musume!"

"Odeko, was the blinding light that Mizuki was referring to, am I right?

"Well...uh.."

'Aww...c'mon Mizuki, you don't have to lie about it. We all know that Madoka's forehead is bright enough to light up a whole entire galaxy. Where there no light, it emits it's own."

"NEKO MU...." (Momiji placed a hand on Madoka mouth to shut her up.)

"Yohko, that wasn't necessary, you know...besides...maybe it wasn't her after all. It could have been a reflection from...uh...something else.

"Okay, whatever. So Mizuki, we were just about to place our orders...you hungry?"

"Starved!" Mizuki was delighted to be having dinner with Yohko and her friends despite Ayano's presence.

"Hey! What about me, Yohko!"

"What ABOUT you?"

"You didn't ask me if I was hungry!!"

"Well are you?"

"Why yes I am!!"

"Then go ahead eat...No one's stopping you, Odeko!!"

Momiji and Ayano just looked at each other and sighed. They figured trying to stop them was once again hopeless.

"Those two..." sighed Momiji

"It's okay Momiji-san. Deep down, they're really good friends who care for one another. They just have a difficult time showing it"

"Yeah you're right, Ayano-chan. It's definitely not boring when they're around."

"Hai" Ayano happily responded

While Ayano and Momiji start giggling, and Yohko and Madoka are still bickering, Mizuki starts rolling her eyes at the four of them. She then focuses her attention on Ayano who is still giggling about.

"Hmmph...what a crock." She thought to herself, "Have to admit...she's pretty good. I wonder just how long she'll keep up this act though. Surely they couldn't have forgotten about the Zenga incident...have they? It still confuses me, as to why they're letting her walk about freely. That girl should be put away for what she has done."

"Heh, heh. Oh man, I haven't had a good laugh like that in quite sometime."

"Yes, I myself haven't laughed like that in such a long time as well...at least before...well...you know.

"Oh, Ayano-chan, try not to think about it. Ol' Timer's gone so..."

"Still...*sigh*

Mizuki noticed the two girls' topic of discussion. Though she didn't want them to think she was eavesdropping she repositioned herself leaned slightly over to the left where Ayano and Momiji were sitting, in attempt to catch every little detail of their conversation.

"Hmmm? What's wrong Ayano? Yohko just happened to catch the last part of what they were discussing.

"Oh...well...Momiji-san and I well...um.."

"Ayano, Momiji's right(It wasn't too hard for Yohko to figure out the topic of discussion). Try not to think about that incident. Besides, it wasn't your fault. You had no control over the situation"

"But Yohko-san...I did. Remember I was the one who made myself vulnerable for Ol' Timer...(sigh)...the pain I caused you. Something I will regret for the rest of my life! I thought I was the only one who could.......*sigh*"

"Could what?" Mizuki wondered

Ayano tried to keep her voice down but the frustration and anguish over the incident caused her to become emotionally excited.

"I'm not in pain anymore, Ayano. In fact I've never been happier. Besides...I was able to accept your challenge at the end because I knew what your true intentions were."

"True Intentions?" Mizuki quietly questioned

"Really, Yohko-san?" Ayano responding to Yohko's undying optimism

"Really. I'm just grateful, and relieved that I have you back in my life."

"Yohko-san..."

"Don't fret, Ayano...we've been through so much together, even when we were younger. Nothing could ever really separate us or come between us. We're best friends until the end, right?" Yohko held up her pinky finger waiting for Ayano to grab hold with hers. Sure enough, Ayano, wrapped her finger around Yohko's. No words could come out of Ayano's mouth except, Yohko's name. "Yohko-san."

"Awww....that's so adorable!" Madoka and Momiji exclaimed in unison. Mizuki just wanted to puke after that scene. "Ayano you missed your calling." Mizuki thought to herself. "You should have hired yourself an agent and become an actress. They may buy into your little charade but I won't."

"Huh? Did you say something Mizuki?" Yohko overheard her mumbling

"Uh...it was nothing, Yohko, heh, heh." Mizuki responded nervously...with a big sweat drop at the back of her head. She continued her thoughts..."Whew! That was a close one." I better watch what I say around this group. They seem to be a tight bunch."

When they finished eating, the four TA pilots decided to call it a day and head back home, especially since they had to get up early the next morning for class.

The morning after...

"...Yohko-san! Ohayo Gozaimasu!"

"Ah, Ohayo, Ayano. Did you sleep well?"

"Hai! How about you, Yohko-san?..you look a little tired."

"Not too bad...it's just that I stayed up til 2am last night playing this new video game I bought the other day. I told myself I wouldn't go to bed unless I finished the game and sure enough I did....128 levels."

"You should really go to bed early, especially on a school night." replied a concerned Ayano.

"Yeah, I know....(yawn)." mentioned a groggy Yohko. Ayano just looked at her friend and giggled. Yohko couldn't help but lift an eyebrow in a perplexed state.

"Wha...What's so funny?" Yohko had to ask.

"Gomen ne, Yohko-san...but...you're just cute." After that comment, Yohko blushed which is usually rare for Yohko considering she doesn't embarrass easily. While Ayano was still giggling and Yohko still red as a tomato, Madoka and Momiji made their way into the school yard.

"Ne, Yohko-chan! You're as red as a turnip!"

"She probably stayed out in the sun too long." Madoka couldn't resist.

Still embarrassed, Yohko just picked up her stuff and left to go to class, "Ja!" Yohko retorted.

"I'll see you at lunchtime Yohko-san!"

Yohko was struggling for words while she was still walking,"Uh...yeah...okay!" Afterall Yohko was out of sight, and being as nosy as usual, Madoka brought Yohko's embarrassed expression.

"Ne, Ayano?"

"Eh?"

"What was THAT about?"

"Oh....I just told Yohko was was cute."

"Eh?! That neko?! CUTE?!" Ayano just smiled and nodded. Just then, a shadowy figure behind a tree was observing and listening to the entire conversation (Yes, I know what you all are thinking...what a CLICHE! ANYWAY JUST READ!!)"Hmmm...and so it begins...the fall of Hakuhoin Ayano Elizabeth." The shadowy figure thought. "She has placed blinders on you, Yohko..." Still leaning up against the tree Mizuki was already putting her plan into action.

Meanwhile on Terra...

"Lawson, Is Mizuki-san's ship ready to go?"

"Almost ready. Admiral Lyon. Pretty soon she can join Yohko's crew for the upcoming tournament."

"This should be interesting..."

"What?"

"For the last couple of years, Mizuki has been on her own. Before that, Yohko-san was her only teammate...I'm curious as to how well she'll get along with three other members of Yohko's team as far as team work."

"You worry too much, Admiral. I'm sure everything will be fine. It'll be great to see Yohko-kun and Mizuki-kun flying side by side again."

"...Yeah...Right." Admiral Lyon trailed off. She thought it was nice to have the two former partners reunite but she remembered Mizuki's personality being a too...obsessive and temperamental. During the time of Yohko and Mizuki's partnership, she couldn't help but recall the times when Yohko would be asked to recruit some people from her time period.
Mizuki upsettingly dismissed the idea; mentioning that she and Yohko were doing just great on their own and they wouldn't need any more outside help. "If it ain't broke, why fix it?" was her exact words." She' also remembered the times when Mizuki would go ballistic for the smallest things. She never knew of anyone else with such an explosive temper.

"Heh, heh...Yohko-kun and Mizuki-kun can once again show Ness, what Terra is made of."

"There ARE three other pilots whom are capable of that as well, Lawson."

"Oh...uh...right!" Lawson replied, embarrassed. Admiral Lyon just shook her head, "This smells bad."
