Tenchi’s Last Adventure By: DJ Rodriguez   (Author’s Notes: Hi, everyone. This story here… its old, really old. I created this a very long time ago, and its one of many others that have written when I was much younger.   Darien: This story is part of a series that DJ when created, when his imagination was just reaching his peak. So, It would be good for all of you to bear with us on this.   DJ: All in all, I hope you enjoy it.)   It has been at least ten years since Tenchi Masaki decided not to be Emperor of Juri. He liked having a nice, normal life on Earth. But, things turned out differently then some would like to think. You see, Tenchi is already married. But, he’s not married to Ryoko or Ayeka. Instead, the woman he chose to be his wife was… Kiyone!   He had always had a special place in his heart for Kiyone, and for good reasons. First, she wasn’t crazy about him like Ryoko and Ayeka were. Second, she was honest, dedicated to her profession, and also more sensible then the other girls. And third, she was beautiful and had a strong character that he liked. Also, Kiyone also held a special place in her heart for Tenchi as well.   After Tenchi landed back on Earth, he and Kiyone started to date each other for about six months. They started to know each other, and feel more open to one another. Each time they dated, it was getting slowly, but surely, serious. Ryoko and Ayeka tried to find ways to break it up, but both proved to be very loyal to each other.   Finally, on May 10, 2001, 11:00 a.m., Tenchi proposed to Kiyone. She said answered his proposal with a very hot kiss. The other girls couldn’t believe that Tenchi was finally ready to “tie the knot”. Ryoko and Ayeka stepped up their plans of preventing this event from happening.   Unfortunately, for them, neither Tenchi nor Kiyone were willing to ever break up. Their love for each other was extremely fierce. After much attempts, the two finally gave up. Preparations were made, and the two were married on September 14 at Kiyone’s Galaxy Police Headquarters. Everyone that knew both Kiyone and Tenchi were invited, and all were happy for the couple. Even Ryoko and Ayeka came, but they were not happy at all.   They tried to separate Kiyone and Tenchi at their wedding, but Kiyone defeated them with ease. They were arrested for assault and battery, but broke out of their jail cell. They teamed up once with some others on a previous adventure with DJ Rodriguez (a.k.a Ultra Warrior).   Now, right at this very moment, the two are living a peaceful life on Earth. Tenchi finished high school shortly after he and Kiyone got married, and has built up his own company. It is called Masaki Enterprises, which is a company that aids people around the globe. The company employees help bring food to homeless people that have been victims of either nature’s wrath or have had bad luck with their finances, build buildings or parks for countries that need them for work or recreation, and also give out scholarships to many students in any major field.   The company is world-famous, and has made the couple very rich. Tenchi, however, never used any schemes or illegal dealings. He used his own wisdom, compassion, and justice to run the company. In short, he never changed his character at all. Kiyone still works at the Galaxy Police, but has been promoted to the status of First Sergeant. Mihoshi has a new partner now, and is Kiyone ever glad.   Three years later after they were married, Kiyone gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Her name was Stephanie, named by DJ because of the GraveStone incident. She has Tenchi’s eye and hair color, but she has Kiyone’s hair length and body build. Although Tenchi and Kiyone were very busy, they always made time to be with their daughter. All three live in Tokyo, but in the suburbs. The three were living very happy, and peaceful, lives. That is, until, someone decided to dash their lives into tiny pieces.   “Hi! I’m home!”, Tenchi shouted out as he entered his home. It has been a busy day for him, so many decisions to make for his company.   Tenchi and Kiyone's seven year-old daughter, Stephanie, ran downstairs and leapt into Tenchi’s arms. He hugged her and swinged her around playfully. Both laughed as they spinned, then Tenchi set her down. “Hey! How’s my little girl?”, he asked her.   Stephanie began to tell him about her day, on how she got all A’s on her report card from school, and also on how she cleaned her room. Tenchi was very proud of her daughter, her having her mother’s brain. “How was she behaving, Washu?”, he asked the being that suddenly appeared beside him.   Washu was a universal genius, but she gotten into numorous trouble with high-honoring companies and universities around the galaxy. Tenchi offered her a job as a baby-sitter for Stephanie, since Kiyone and Tenchi were not around when she got off from school.   “She was a little angel. But, she still acts like a tomboy when you’re not around.”, she told him. Tenchi smiled, then went to his room to go change.   “Dad, where’s Mom?”, Stephanie asked him.   He answered, “She’s working right now, at the Galaxy Police. She’ll be back anytime now.”. Stephanie jumped for joy, and hurried outside to play with her friends.   “Tenchi, I got to go now. I’m going to try another university, in another galaxy. I just got to get some work.”, Washu told him as she entered her laboratory. She installed it near Stephanie’s room, just in case Stephanie needed her. The laboratory was complete with everything, including a teleporter.   “Good-bye, Washu. Good luck with the university.”, Tenchi told her. She smiled at him, then left the house. Tenchi went up to his room, changed into some more comfy clothes, and then went downstairs to the kitchen. He started to prepare dinner, wondering on how Kiyone was doing.   “I’m sure she’s fine. Still, I got a bad feeling about something.”, he said to himself. He knew that something was wrong, he just couldn’t put his finger on it. He shrugged it off and after about an hour and a half of cooking, he called Stephanie from the backyard. She waved good-bye to her friends, then left to go eat. Little did they know, that an invisible camera was watching her. Something was up!   At the Galaxy Police Headquarters, Kiyone was busy with paperwork and reports on various cases in her office. She was glad to be promoted, but longed to return home. She missed Tenchi and her daughter dearly. Most of the women at headquarters were envious of Kiyone, because she was married to a very good man, who also happened to be the Emperor of Juri.   She sighed out heavily, threw the paperwork aside, and turned to a monitor screen behind her. She had the Galaxy Police Chief install a monitor so she could contact Tenchi at their house. She turned it on, and the screen blinked to life. It showed Tenchi and their daughter eating dinner.   “Hi, honey!”, she called out to him.   He turned up to see the monitor that came out from the left wall in the kitchen. He went over to it, smiled at Kiyone, and said, “Hi! How’s it going up there?”.   She smiled and replied, “Oh! More paperwork and reports then I can handle. I’ll be home late tonight.”.   Tenchi said, “Oh. Okay. I’ll prepare a late, romantic dinner. Just for the two of us.”. She smiled even more, knowing that Tenchi was very good to her. Stephanie turned to the monitor and waved to Kiyone.   “Hi, baby!”, Kiyone called out.   “Hi, Mom! Hope you come back soon!”, Stephanie called out as well.   Kiyone assured her she was going to be coming home. She said her good-bye to Tenchi, blew him a kiss, then turned off the monitor. “Well, just a few more reports to complete, and I’m done!”, she said to herself as she turned to her desk to finish her work.   Suddenly, the loudspeaker came on and the Galaxy Police Chief’s voice was on. “First Sergeant Kiyone, please come to my office.”, the voice spoke out. Kiyone was unsure about this, because the voice sounded edgy and nervous. She slowly went through the giant, maze-like complex towards the office.   Upon entering, Kiyone saw the Galaxy Police Chief. He seemed edgy, almost like if someone had a blaster gun at his head. “Sir, what is it that you need to see me?”, Kiyone asked him.   He looked at her, the eyes concealing guilt. He reassumed his posture and said, “Yes, Kiyone. It seems that some pirates have built a base near planet Juri. It is a barren planet called Jelya, a perfect place to hide from the law. I want you to investigate.”.   Kiyone now looked concerned, because this was an unusual assignment. “Please, sir. If I complete this mission, may I return to Earth?”, Kiyone asked him.   He now looked guiltier, but said yes. She saluted him, and had the clearance to go. After she left, the Chief slumped in his chair. “I really don’t want to do this. She is the best officer I got.”, he said to someone.   Two beings came out from the shadows, their faces completely concealed in the dark. One of them patted him on the back and whispered, “I can assure you, she won’t get killed.”.   The other being also added in, “That is, if she cooperates. Like you just did.”.   The two disappeared, leaving the Chief in a terrible, emotional mess. Meanwhile, Kiyone went back to her office to change into her former detective attire. After she got ready for her mission, she contacted Tenchi through her monitor. The screen came on, showing Tenchi and Stephanie cleaning up the kitchen.   “Sweetheart, I got some bad news.”, she said over the monitor. The two stopped what they were doing, and listened to what Kiyone had to say. “I’m sorry, but I won’t be coming home tonight. I got some important mission to complete for the Chief.”, she told them.   Stephanie begged her mom not to go, but to come back home. “I’m sorry, sweetie. But, I promise to come back as soon as I can. Then, we can do whatever you want.”, Kiyone promised her.   Stephanie looked into Kiyone’s eyes, and saw the sincerity in them. Stephanie was also blessed with Tenchi’s ability to see through people’s hearts, to find their true intentions. She slowly smiled and whispered, “Good-bye, Mom.”. Stephanie left, leaving Tenchi and Kiyone alone.   “Well, good luck Kiyone. I’ll have a light on in the house when you come back. Take care.”, Tenchi said to her. He blew her a kiss and was about to turn off the monitor when he hesitated for a moment.   He turned to Kiyone, who was still on the monitor, and said, “Dear, I have a bad feeling about this. Something doesn’t seem right.”. Kiyone also told him that she too had a bed feeling about this mission.   “Maybe I need to go with you on this mission.”, Tenchi suggested to her. She fiercely shook her head in a “no”. She was worried that Tenchi might be injured, or killed, if there were pirates up on that planet. Even though he could control Sword Tenchi, the Jurian blade that was a weapon only for Jurian Emperor’s, the pirates might see him as a valuable hostage.   “It’s okay. I’ll be careful.”, Kiyone told him.   Tenchi looked at her, and smiled. “Okay. I trust that you’ll be careful. See you tomorrow.”, he told her.   Tenchi signed off, knowing that Kiyone would pull through. Kiyone smiled to herself, knowing that she chose a good, and understanding, husband. She packed up and went to her spaceship. Setting up the coordinates, she headed for the planet Jelya.   It took about 3 hours to reach the barren planet, going at hyper-speed. During which time, Kiyone was checking her equipment and weapons. After that was done, she took out from a secret compartment, her family photos. The photos made her more at ease, because they were good times for her. Pictures of her wedding, Tenchi building their house, their daughter as a baby and growing up, were very warming for her.   “Well, I’m here. Better get this over with.”, she said to herself as she landed. Upon landing, her computer told her that there was no atmosphere. But, underground, there was a controlled environment that made it possible to breathe. So, Kiyone went down in her spacesuit, and bounced off to find an entrance to the underground.   “The pirates are here! That would explain the controlled environment underneath this dead rock.”, Kiyone said to herself. After much bouncing around for about 2 hours, she saw a cave near some canyons. She entered the cave, and went down underneath the planet. Going about 200 feet down, a door slammed behind her.   She was taken by surprise, until she heard hissing gas. “Must be oxygen pouring into here.”, she told herself as she took off her helmet and suit.   She continued downward, going about 1,500 feet down. At that point, she saw a metal door. “This is it.”, she whispered to herself as she prepared to bust it down. Building up strength, she rammed the door down and yelled out, “GALAXY POLICE, FREEZE!!”.   Kiyone now saw that the room was empty, but not quite. It was a torture room, a room that was meant to torture prisoners. It looked similar to the ones used on planet Juri. She slowly went further in, sensing that something was not right. Suddenly, a giant computer console flashed to life. She only took ten steps towards it, when a powerful blow came from behind! She was knocked unconscious.   Three beings where behind her, one of them carrying a heavy club. “Good work. Now, go to Earth and bring back her brat.”, one of them told the other. The light from the computer screen gave way to the beings. It was… AYEKA, RYOKO, AND SASAMI!!!   Back on Earth, it was about 10:00 p.m. and the stars were illuminating the sky. Tenchi was tucking Stephanie into bed, reassuring her that Kiyone would be home by morning. The girl was very worried about her mother, but she slowly drifted into a deep sleep. Tenchi close the door as he left, walking towards the upstairs balcony.   He looked up at the stars, thinking about Kiyone. He was really worried, because that terrible feeling was arising once again. “I know she said she’d be careful, but I can’t shake this feeling off.”, he said to himself.   He saw a star falling from the heavens, very big and beautiful. Tenchi stared at it in awe, until he saw the star change direction in mid-flight! The star was coming towards him, at full speed! Tenchi hurried back inside the house, and activated the security system Washu set up for them. The house was covered in an energy shield, one that was impenetrable.   The star slammed into the shield, revealing it to be an unusual spaceship! The spaceship suddenly flew off, leaving Tenchi with the question on who it was that was flying the craft and why. Suddenly, he heard a scream. It was Stephanie! He quickly raced to Stephanie’s room, opened the door, and saw that she was gone.   He frantically searched the house, finding no trace of her. He had given up hope until he heard his daughter’s scream again. He went outside to the backyard, to find his daughter being dragged away by a strange being. The being was covered in darkness, so it was impossible to see the face. It gagged Stephanie up, tied her wrists and ankles together, and picked her up. A portal had formed near the tree, where the being was prepared to go through with its cargo.   “RELEASE HER!!!”, Tenchi commanded to it as he jumped down from the upstairs balcony. The being quickly ran through the portal, closing it up when Tenchi landed down. He desperately tried to find the portal again, but his attempts were in vain. He shouted an angry shout, his voice echoing throughout the night.   Back on Jeyla, a portal formed inside the torture room. In the background was Kiyone, tied to a chair with thick, heavy ropes. She was slowly regaining consciousness. A being stepped out from the portal, carrying an unconscious Stephanie. As Kiyone was seeing this in front of her, she was filled with unbelievable rage!   “Nobody does that to my angel!”, Kiyone growled to herself. She tried to break loose, but failed. The being told the other two that it was a success, the remote-controlled spaceship distracting Tenchi while it kidnapped Stephanie. The light from the portal revealed that the being carrying Stephanie was Sasami!   Kiyone couldn’t believe it! Sasami had kidnapped her daughter, and Ayeka and Ryoko were approving this! The portal closed up, the computer suddenly whirring to life. A huge monitor appeared behind Kiyone, blinking to life. It showed Tenchi in his room. He was getting out a strange sword, which was Sword Tenchi. “Tenchi, no!”, Kiyone whispered as she faced the monitor.   Tears were streaming down her face. “Ah! The hussy is awake.”, Ayeka spoke out. Kiyone turned around to see Ayeka and Ryoko, not more then a few feet from her. Kiyone gave them an icy stare, which they returned. “What do you two want with me and my daughter?!”, Kiyone asked them in an angry tone.   Ryoko walked up and slapped Kiyone in the face hard. “We are going to use you, and this little brat here, to get back what always should have been ours.”, Ryoko told her.   Sasami placed Stephanie at Ryoko’s feet, then Ryoko and Ayeka suddenly started to violently kick the girl around! Kiyone was now thrashing about, her body and mind now consumed in a rage that would make the most violent, active volcanoes seem like very tiny firecrackers! “STOP IT!! STOP IT!!”, Kiyone continued to scream at them as she thrashed in her chair.   After a few minutes, the two stopped. The girl was now bruised up, some parts of her body bleeding dark red blood. Ayeka took a piece of rope that was dangling from the rafters, lifted Stephanie up, and tied her to it. The girl dangled like a lifeless piece of ornament near Kiyone’s right side.   Kiyone was now crying. Seeing her daughter being violently attacked and her not doing a thing about it was nearly impossible to bear. She looked at the three girls, her mind only about getting sweet revenge on all three. “Tenchi is going to contact Washu.”, Sasami told the two girls.   “We got to be prepared. Set up the defense system!”, Ayeka shouted out. Ryoko flipped some switches, and on the monitor, the view changed to the inside of the cave. The cave was now arming itself with missiles, laser beams, and bombs. Kiyone was in shock, but was later drowning in very bitter rage.   “Start Plan B. Bring Tenchi here.”, Ryoko told Sasami. Sasami obeyed the order, disappearing into another room. “Soon, you will never see Tenchi again.”, Ryoko said to Kiyone.   Back on Earth, Tenchi was preparing to go rescue his daughter. He had deactivated the shield, and went back inside the house. He started to get dressed in the same clothes he wore when he rescued Ayeka from Kagato those many years ago. Normally, they wouldn’t have fit. But, Washu made the clothes elastic and they fit him perfectly.   He had also taken out Sword Tenchi, the magical blade that defeated all evil. He thought, “I need to contact Washu. I need her to find Stephanie.”.   After he finished dressing himself, he entered Washu’s lab. He started to search for the emergency button that would contact Washu. After some hours of searching through Washu’s inventions and gadgets, he found the device. It was a remote control with one, large red button.   He pushed it, which immediately sent out a distress signal to Washu. A few minutes, Washu suddenly appeared in front of Tenchi. “This better be good, Tenchi. I was in the middle of an interview with…”, Washu started to say when Tenchi interrupted her.   “Sorry Washu, but I need your help. Stephanie was kidnapped.”, Tenchi told her. Washu stopped talking, shocked that someone would kidnap Stephanie. You see, she and the girl had like a sister-like relationship.   “What exactly happened?”, she asked him.   He told her everything that happened prior to this meeting. Washu immediately took a device with her, and led Tenchi towards the backyard. Tenchi pointed to the tree that was there, saying that the portal opened up there. Washu said nothing, but started to get to work. She used the device, calling it the Portal Locator/Generator, and started to scan the tree.   The little remote control-like device beeped wildly as she moved it across the tree. “Ah! The portal’s energy is still fresh! We can use it to open the door!”, she said energetically.   Washu put the device away, and took out her little computer. After much configuration, Washu was able to reopen the portal. “My computer tells me it leads to a barren planet called Jelya. It’s near Juri.”, Washu told Tenchi.   Tenchi thanked her, and was about to go in when Washu stopped him. “Bring back that little angel. Please, Tenchi.”, she told him. He promised her that he would. He jumped in, the portal disappearing behind him.   Soon, Tenchi found himself in a cave. Ryoko and Ayeka did some configurations of their own, changing the portal’s coordinates. Tenchi slowly descended down the cave, using his instincts to guide him. In the torture room, Kiyone was trying to wake Stephanie up.   After some moments, the girl stirred. She moaned in pain, then realized that she was dangling from the ceiling. She started to struggle, but was no use. She then saw her mother. “Mom! What’s going on?!”, Stephanie asked her. Kiyone gestured her to remain quiet. Stephanie obeyed.   Kiyone told her that her former friends over there were using them to try and trap Tenchi. “What are we going to do?!”, Stephanie asked Kiyone.   “Nothing, you little brat!”, Ayeka told her.   Ayeka strolled away from the control console towards Stephanie. Suddenly, she slapped the girl’s face! Stephanie started to spin around, crying in pain. Kiyone struggled to get free, but her attempts were in vain.   Ayeka sinisterly told Kiyone in front of her face, “That Chief of yours was pretty cooperative. We arranged it so he could send you here.”. Kiyone said nothing, but spit in Ayeka’s face. Ayeka slowly wiped off the spit, and went towards Stephanie.   After Stephanie stopped spinning, Ayeka violently punched her. Kiyone whispered to Ayeka in an angry tone, “When I get out of this, you are ever going to regret harming my family.”.   Meanwhile, Tenchi was slowly descending down, when ten missiles suddenly fired in front of him! He ducked down and the projectiles missed him. The missiles exploded, revealing the entrance to the cave on the surface. The oxygen was being quickly sucked out of the cave, and Tenchi quickly went down the cave.   Ryoko and Ayeka saw this, and quickly closed the door between Tenchi and the cave. Back in the cave, Tenchi turned around and saw a metal door slam down behind him. Oxygen was once returning to him. He breathed in heavily to get some in his lungs, then continued downward.   On his way down, he dodged bombs that rolled out from the floor and laser beams from the walls. After about half an hour of dodging the weapons, he arrived at the bottom. He saw the entrance, this time a door made of tititanium alloy. The one Kiyone broke down was just plain steel. Tenchi sliced it open with his sword.   As he entered the room, it was pitch black. Also, another metal door slammed shut behind him, shrouding him in total darkness. He used the sword to be like a flash light, guiding him through the darkness. Suddenly, he saw Kiyone and Stephanie tied together. Both were on a board, with a huge swinging ax slowly coming down. Both were covered in cuts and bruises, bleeding from various parts.   Tenchi was seething in anger and rage. The two saw him and Kiyone yelled, “Tenchi! Get away from here!”. Tenchi asked her, “Who did this to you!?”.   “We did, dear.”, a voice came out from the darkness. The room was flooded with lights now, leaving Tenchi temporally blinded. Once he regained his sight, he saw Ayeka and Ryoko near the two. He was in a stupor, realizing that it was them that did all of this.   “Why did you do this act!?”, Tenchi demanded. His sword began to power-up, glowing with energy.   Ryoko said, “Put down the sword, lover. Or these two lose ahead in this game.”. He gritted his teeth in anger, but slowly deactivated the sword.   “We did this to get you back, Tenchi.”, Ayeka told him.   “You see. It wasn’t fair that this, blue-haired bozo, could take you away from us.”, Ryoko continued.   Tenchi said in puzzlement, “You girls did all this, just to get me back?!”.   “Yes, we did. We would like to make an arrangement.”, Ayeka told him.   Ryoko smiled evilly at him and said, “Here is the deal. You divorce Kiyone here, and give yourself to us. We will then let these two go.”.   Tenchi was surprised at this arrangement. “I won’t do it! I love Kiyone, and I won’t give her up willingly!”, he declared.   Kiyone was crying, this time tears of joy were streaming down her face. Ayeka whispered, “I thought you might say that.”. She suddenly pulled a lever down next to her on the control panel, and the ax came down more swiftly. Tenchi saw this, and heard his daughter screaming in fear.   “Okay!! I… agree.”, he said weakly.   The two girls jumped for joy. They had won! Ryoko stopped the ax, and freed the two victims. Tenchi slowly went over to them. “I’m sorry, Kiyone.”, Tenchi said as he slowly started to take off his wedding ring. Kiyone was looking at his eyes, and saw sorrow and sadness. Her tears were now showing, sad that she was losing Tenchi.   Suddenly, a giant laser beam appeared and blasted Ryoko and Ayeka! “What the?!”, Tenchi asked as he stopped taking off his wedding ring. From out of nowhere, appeared Washu and Mihoshi!   “But, how?!”, Tenchi asked them.   “Washu used her desktop to find an energy signal here, then simply teleported us here.”, Mihoshi explained to them as she put down her gigantic, triple-barrel laser cannon. The family smiled at them, happy that someone was here to help them. Tenchi looked at Kiyone, and put his wedding ring back on.   “Like I said, I won’t give you up willingly.”, Tenchi whispered to her. Kiyone just hugged him tightly, and both shared a long passionate kiss.   “Man! Get a room!”, Stephanie said in embarrassment. Suddenly, from the rubble, a huge blast erupted! Ryoko and Ayeka were on fire, their eyes burning straight at Kiyone.   “If we can’t have Tenchi… THEN NO ONE WILL!!”, the two woman screamed as they combined their powers. Kiyone handed Stephanie to Washu and ordered her to take her back home! Washu agreed, and teleported both Mihoshi and Stephanie back to Earth.   “So, you two will stay and fight us?”, Ayeka asked them.   Tenchi took hold of Kiyone’s left hand lovingly and said, “We made a vow to each other. ‘Till death do us part’. I’m going to keep that vow.”.   Kiyone squeezed Tenchi’s hand lovingly and also said, “Same here!”.   Ryoko and Ayeka just laughed and both said, “Well. We won’t kill Tenchi… BUT WE’LL BOTH KILL KIYONE!!”.   Both fired their combined energy beam, taking aim at Kiyone. Tenchi quickly lifted his sword, activating a barrier that shielded both. The blast was incredible, dust and debris flying everywhere! When it all settled down, the shield was still there! It protected the couple from the blast!   “I’ll take on Ryoko! You think you’re up to help?”, Tenchi asked Kiyone. Even though she was pretty banged up, she smiled and said yes.   “ATTACK!!”, Ryoko screamed as she charged into battle. Ayeka did the same. The battle was about to commence!   Tenchi activated his sword, while Kiyone stood ready for a one-on-one battle. Ryoko formed an energy sword, and flew towards Kiyone. Tenchi defended her, blocking the strike with his blade. “You want to harm her, you have to go through me first!”, Tenchi yelled out to Ryoko.   Ryoko smiled, then motioned for Tenchi to bring it on. He dashed towards her, while Kiyone saw Ayeka dash towards her. “Get ready to lose your husband, and your life!”, Ayeka said as she dashed towards her opponent.   Kiyone just said, “Not as I have breath in my body.”. The battle had begun! Tenchi and Ryoko were dueling for about 45 minutes, their swords clashing together. Huge bursts of energy were sparking out from their clashes, their swords wielding huge amounts of power!   “Listen, Tenchi. We don’t have to fight. Just dump the wench and come with me.”, Ryoko suggested to Tenchi. He answered that with huge power swipe towards Ryoko’s sword.   “As long as I live, I’ll never betray her!”, he declared.   Ryoko started to get fiercer, her slashing techniques becoming more powerful. “Just tell me. What does that bimbo have that I don’t?!”, she asked Tenchi.   He answered as he continued fighting, “Kiyone is everything you and Ayeka are not! She’s smart, talented, honest, devoted, and also more beautiful!”. Ryoko had just about enough of this. She used her sword to create a flash of intense light, similar to Goku’s Solar Flare attack technique from DragonBall Z!   “YAHHH!!! I CAN’T SEE!!”, Tenchi shouted out. Ryoko knew that the blindness would wear off, so she quickly went towards her intended target.   Ayeka and Kiyone were going at it like nothing every witnessed before! The two were punching, kicking, and slamming each other around the room. Kiyone made good on her word that she would make Ayeka regret harming her family. The match was pretty much even, until Ryoko decided to get involved. She started to attack from the air, but Kiyone saw her just in time.   She dodged Ryoko’s sword swipe, but was caught off-guard by Ayeka’s dashing punch. She was knocked off her feet, giving the duo enough time to try a kill. Kiyone, however, was fast enough to dodge their strike. She fought with an energy and strength that was rarely seen in all of history. After an hour of dodging and taking some hits, Kiyone was too tired to even move.   “After we destroy you, we’ll simply erase Tenchi’s memory of you and your little brat. He’ll be ours once again.”, Ayeka told Kiyone in a victorious voice. Meanwhile, Tenchi was regaining his sight back. After fully recovering, he saw the crazy duo hovering above Kiyone. He ran towards them, hoping to protect Kiyone.   “It ends… NOW!!!”, Ryoko shouted. Ayeka and Ryoko powered up their energy, combined it to form an energy knife, and took aim! Kiyone closed her eyes, thinking this was it. A scream of pain echoed throughout the entire planet, but it was not Kiyone that screamed.   She opened her eyes to see Tenchi, just inches above her. She saw a look of shock and pain on Tenchi’s face, not knowing on what happened. Then, she saw that the knife had cut through him, straight through the heart like a hot knife through warm butter! Tenchi had dove down, and used his body as a shield. He collapsed to the floor, his life draining from him fast.   Kiyone cradled him in her arms whispering fiercely, “Just hang on! I’ll get some help, just hang on!”. She started to cry, afraid of losing Tenchi. Tenchi looked at Kiyone, with true love and kindness in his eyes.   “Listen, Kiyone. I would rather die with the knowledge that I had you, then live forever without ever knowing you.”, he told her.   Kiyone was still crying, tears streaming down her face. “No, Tenchi! Don’t say that! Stop it!”, Kiyone pleaded. Tenchi slowly took his hand, and caressed her face.   “Take care… of Stephanie… for me.”, he said with his few final breaths. Kiyone was still trying to tell him to hang on, but it was no use.   “Good-bye, my love.”, Tenchi said before he finally died.   Back on Earth, Washu had rigged the monitor in the kitchen, so everyone can see what was happening on Jelya. Stephanie, Mihoshi, and Washu had watched the fights, and just now, watch Tenchi die. They all heard every word he had said, tears flowing from their faces.   “NO!!!”, Stephanie wailed as she saw her dad motionless. She cried loudly, Washu coming to comfort her. Stephanie cried in her arms, making Washu feel like a real big sister for the first time.   “What will happen now?”, Mihoshi asked Washu.   Washu looked at the screen and answered, “We got some work to do. Come.”. All three went up to Stephanie’s room.   Back on Jelya, Kiyone was crying out very loudly. She was now saddened beyond all means, because she had lost her most precious treasure. She continued to hold Tenchi, never wanting to let go. Ryoko and Ayeka were also crying, sad and angry that Tenchi sacrificed his life to save Kiyone. Kiyone stayed with Tenchi for a few moments, kissed him on the forehead, then rested him gently on the ground.   “Good-bye, my Tenchi.”, Kiyone whispered. She suddenly turned in the direction of Ryoko and Ayeka. She gave them an icy stare, now fueled with an energy and strength that was unbelivable!   “There’s… something different… about her now!”, Ayeka told Ryoko.   Ryoko nodded and replied, “Yeah! She… seems… more powerful… then ever!”. Kiyone was now glowing, giving off a golden aura!   “She… did this! It’s all her fault!”, Ryoko shouted to Ayeka.   She replied, “Yeah! She’s the one who caused Tenchi’s death! He just got in the way! She caused all this!”. They were now trying to find an excuse to blame Kiyone for Tenchi’s untimely death.   “You two have taken the one that was most precious to me. And I will make you pay. YOU WILL PAY!!!”, Kiyone screamed out as she lunged towards the duo!   Kiyone dashed at the duo like a mad woman, angry because she had lost her most precious treasure. The three rumbled, the whole planet being rocked by their fighting! Kiyone kept the upper hand in the fight, Ayeka and Ryoko now no match for her awesome strength and speed. After just 55 minutes, Ayeka and Ryoko were down for the count. Kiyone slowly loomed over them, the thought of killing the two of them with her bare hands, bringing her pure pleasure.   “You… can’t do… this.”, Ayeka slowly said to Kiyone.   Ryoko added, “Yeah. You… can’t kill us. It’s… not becoming… of a… Galaxy Police officer.”.   Kiyone just slapped each one of them silly and fiercely growled, “Shut up.”. She really wanted to kill them, but really couldn’t. She remembered that the Galaxy Police, and Tenchi, taught her to let the law decided the fates of criminals. She continued, however, to beat on them. She taught the two a whole new lesson in extreme pain. After some moments, Kiyone stopped beating on them. She strolled away from them, towards the body of Tenchi. She kneeled beside Tenchi, tears still flowing down her cheek.   “I’m sorry, Tenchi.”, she whispered to him.   Suddenly, Washu and the others appeared again inside the space-ship body of Ryo-Ohhki. You see, Washu woke Ryo-Ohhki up from Stephanie’s room and told her the situation. Ryo-Ohhki was given to Stephanie when she was a baby by Sasami. The cabbot understood the situation, and flew the trio towards Jeyla faster then the speed of light! Mihoshi quietly jumped down from her, and went towards Kiyone.   She started to pick up the body, when Kiyone cried out, “Put him down!”.   Mihoshi was surprised, and released the body. Kiyone slowly stood up and picked up the body herself. Stephanie helped her, both crying that they lost him. “I’ve contacted the Galaxy Police. They’ll be here shortly.”, Washu told Kiyone.   But, she had a feeling that Kiyone didn’t really listen. “Look. The Chief wants to talk with you. So, we’re heading to the Galaxy Police Headquarters.”, Mihoshi told Kiyone.   Kiyone’s eyes suddenly flashed red with anger. “Let’s go. I’ve got some questions for him.”, she told everyone in an icy tone. All followed, the mother/daughter duo carrying Tenchi’s body in tow. Once inside Ryo-Ohhki, they all flew towards the Galaxy Police Headquarters.   Ryo-Ohhki appeared in front of the Galaxy Police Headquarters. Upon entering the docking bay, Kiyone immediately set out for the Chief’s office. She told the others to follow, with Tenchi’s body in tow. The other officers inside the huge complex had their mouths covered by their own hands, shocked at the scene before them. The female officers were shaking their heads, feeling pity for Kiyone.   Kiyone couldn’t be stopped, every officer just standing out of her way as she streaked towards the Galaxy Police Chief office. Kiyone was still in rage, angry that the Chief was involved in this plot. Usually, she had to request an audience with him. But this time, she just blew the doors wide open. “Shut the doors, now!”, she commanded Washu and Mihoshi as they all entered.   They did just that. The Chief was looking downcast, not wanting to see Kiyone’s glare. “I’m sorry, Kiyone. I didn’t expect this to happen.”, he told her meekly. Kiyone slammed her hand on the desk and demanded on why he did this.   He slowly stood up and walked towards the window. “Kiyone. I was forced to take this stand.”, he started to explain. He continued, “Ayeka said that since she was Princess of Juri, she would have her entire fleet of warships over here if I didn’t cooperate. Ryoko also said that she would obliterate the Headquarters if I didn’t bring you here. I… had no… choice in the matter.”.   Kiyone now knew on why he did it, but wanted to show him on what happened because of his cooperation. “Look at his, sir! This is what happened on Jelya! Here’s what happened because of your stance on it!”, she screamed at the Chief. She slowly picked Tenchi’s body from Mihoshi and showed it to the Chief. He was now feeling guiltier, knowing that he was fully responsible for this.   “I want a burial for Tenchi. On Earth, with everyone in this building attended. Including you.”, Kiyone told the Chief. He looked at the ground in shame, then said that it will be done.   After several hours, Tenchi was buried on Earth at 5:00 p.m. He was buried underneath a large tree, near the place where Tenchi first met the girls a long time ago. Every one of Tenchi’s friends and the Galaxy Police were in attendance, including Sasami, Ayeka and Ryoko.   When they were arrested, it was found out that Sasami was unconscious in the Weapons room. She was under hypnosis, and couldn’t remember on what had conspired. She was told, and was crying her eyes out after hearing the terrible news. Ayeka and Ryoko’s powers were disabled, both of them in heavy chains. The people of Juri were ashamed of Ayeka, including the knights.   Ryoko and Ayeka held their heads down in shame as well. The Chief of Police was dismissed, leaving Kiyone as the new Galaxy Police Chief. After a long service and leaving some memorable items at Tenchi’s grave, everyone departed. All, except Kiyone and Stephanie. A man in a business suit also stayed behind. One of Tenchi’s employees approached her, informing her that she was now in charge of Tenchi’s business. Kiyone just told him that she didn’t want to hear this, and told him to leave. He did. The two stayed until midnight, remembering on all the good times the family had. The two prepared to go home, sad that they were alone.   Upon entering their home, Kiyone tucked Stephanie into bed. Stephaine then remembered something she heard in school. She heard that when a parent dies or leaves, the other gets remarried to someone else. “Mom, please don’t get married again. I don’t want a new dad. I want my dad back!”, Stephanie told Kiyone while crying.   Kiyone let out a heavy sigh and said, “Don’t worry, sweetheart. No one can ever replace your dad. But, I can’t bring him back.”.   Stephanie started to cry herself to sleep, as Kiyone left the room. As she entered her own bedroom, she started to change for bed. She put on her pink nightgown, still very sad that now she was going to bed without her husband. She saw a picture beside her bed, a picture of her and Tenchi on their wedding day. She smiled, then put a CD on.   The CD played I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, then it played My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. Both songs were played at their wedding, Kiyone now seeing her and Tenchi dancing to the music in her mind. She smiled and remembered all that she and Tenchi went through, good and bad.   “You always tried to please me, trying to show that your love for me never waned.”, she whispered to the picture. She also started to cry herself to sleep as she got on to the twin-sized bed. Before she drifted off, she whispered, “Tenchi, I love you.”.

  (Author’s Notes: Like I said, this story is old. It was created shortly after “Tenchi Muyo” was aired on Cartoon Network.
