“You are nothing to me. You are a stupid piece of trash which should be disposed of.” He said to me. “You’re not even pretty, but you act like you’re the queen of the world. Listen to me, don’t act like something you are not.”
His words echoed in my pounding ears. Each word seemed to pierce through my heart. His words brought so many painful things from the past, things I tried very hard to forget. I clenched my teeth and tried to pull myself together. Tears fell from my eyes even though I tried to hold it back. I closed my eyes and willed the pathetic pain to go away.
I knew this would happen. I knew that someday, my stupid heart will finally end up in pieces. As tears continued to flow from my eyes, I took off running as fast as I can. I didn’t care where my feet would take me. All that went through my head was “Get me out of here.”
