It had been a heavily thought about choice, his decision to leave Mugenjou. In the end, he left because he knew his people could make it without him. And when he found out they hadn't, and that things had fallen apart, he had cried into Ban's shirt for days. Then into Shido's, who had forgiven him already and told him so. When he went to Kazuki to apologize, it was raining and his apologies were spoken between soft kisses and his tears had mingled in with rainwater, and Ginji spent the night in Kazuki's bed and Ban slept on Shido's couch, and come morning the rain was gone and Ginji had his friends back.

 

And the GetBackers visited Kazuki more often, but that's something completely different.
