Authoress Note: Hello, this is technically my first Yami no Matsuei currently posted. I adore this series by yoko Matsushita and have just recently read the ninth volume. I was inspired to write this poem after re-reading volume four. I love the character professor Mitani and wished we could have seen more about him. Thus, poem from him to Izuru came up. Hope you enjoy it.

To Choose
When it came down to it,
who did I love more?
You or God, Izuru?
At first I really didn't know,
I figured it wouldn't work out.
I was your teacher,
you my student.
How could it work?
I lied.
In a church of god I lied.
To him
and to you
my beloved Izuru...
In my heart I knew
that is was you I was destined
to choose.
Even though it wasn't a happy ending,
even though I never knew the REAL truth...
I found my only paradise
right beside you.
If you can hear me Izuru
make time for this.
I love you.
Not him but you.
And that could never be
farther from the truth.

It's a bit short compared to my normal length, but I figured it would sound too drawn out. So, was this worthy of Minati? Share your thoughts in a review.
