Chapter 5: ^_^ I love my job
For once everything was silent. Mia and Isis were no longer complaining
because they had found their stuff drifting in a random plothole, and
were now listening to their CD players, While Seto typed away at his
laptop, Isa read Seto’s copy of Alternate Dimensions For Dummies, and
Mira just concentrated on riding. It had been five thousand years since
she had ridden a horse, so she had to readjust to it.
Luckily the horses were smart enough to not need a rider to tell them
where to go, they just kinda followed Lyn, Kent, and Sain’s horses.
And then they came to this one town thing that had kinda been destroyed
by bandits that were scaring three girls at who’s misfortune Mia and Isis
were laughing.
Until they got closer and Lyn told them to shut up but they also kinda
recognized two of the Pegasus knights, the ones who was laughing like
idiots.
“KYI! YUMI!!!” they shouted at the other girls, running from the others
and coming up next to them and pushing the bandits aside so they fell on
their butts hard, shrieking like little pansies; especially the one with
hoofprints on him.
“Hey, where’s Kyo and Y.Yumi?” Mia asked.
“YOU GOT PEGASUSES!! HOW COME WE DIDN’T GET ANY?!?!” Isis yelled.
“First, I have no clue where they are, and second, we’re Pegasus
Knights, you’re a thief and Mia’s a Myrmidon, you don’t bring horses into
battle.”
“SO?!”
Kyi just sighed as everyone else walked up, bandits and Lyn’s people
alike.
“So, what’s going on?” Mira asked. “I see we’re not the only one’s with
bandit problems.”
Kyi and Yumi burst out laughing again. Finally Kyi calmed down enough
to tell. “Our companion Florina seems to have a fetish for having Huey
pound people’s faces into the pavement. It was quit funny, but I imagine
not for the freak over there,” she said, pointing to the people that Lyn
and the other Pegasus knight were talking to.
This just made everyone laugh even more, so when Lyn announced that a
battle was about to begin, they almost didn’t notice.
At the begining of the battle, Lyn decided to ask the village for aid,
and so dragged Mia along with her to help.
When they got to the village everyone was scared and hiding in a corner,
except for two people, the smallest of which Mia recognized instantly.
“MOKUBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she yelled, almost frantically,
running up to him and hugging him. At first Mokuba thought she was gonna
cry but then...
“DO YOU KNOW WHO MUCH YOU SCARED ME?! NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER
EVER GET SUCKED INTO AN ALTERNATE DIMENSION UNLESS I SAY YOU CAN AND AM
THERE WITH YOU YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN ME A HEART ATTACK MISTER, YOU KNOW
HOW SETO ACTS WHEN YOU’RE MISSING!!!!!”
Mokuba shrugged. “So? He acts weird and creepy like he always does.
It’s when I come back that he starts acting all weird. Like at Duelist
Kingdom he acted like his normal self but then he got all weird and
smiled when I came back. THAT was freaky.”
“You can discuss the finer points of your brother’s strange ways later,
we’ve got a battle to fight,” Lyn said, breaking into the conversation.
She was followed by another archer, no doubt Wil.
(A/N Think of it! Mokuba with a little bow and some arrows... he’s so
cute! Now everybody, Awwwww....)
So they fought the battle and Seto got reunited with Mokuba and acted
all creepy like at Duelist Kingdom, where he actually smiled! GOD IT’S
THE APOCALYPSE!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!
Anywho, The girls really didn’t pay any attention to Kent talking to
Lyn, saying something about a band of mercenaries until they heard the
word mercenaries.
“WHOWHATWHENWHEREWHYHOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!” Mira yelled.
“I LOVE MY JOB!!!” Mia said suddenly.
“Blow it up, blow it up some more, blow it up really big, blow it up
really big some more...” Isis was saying.
And Isa, Kyi, and Yumi finished by saying, “I will flip a coin the
decide which building I will blow up.”
And everybody together: “WE ARE MERCENARIES AND WE ARE PROUD!!!!”
At which everyone else looked at them like total idiots.
