Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ "A Broken Puzzle" ❯ One-Shot

*Author's Note: This is inspired by and based upon Sasha Janre-Ishtar's fanfic, "Millennium Dark" (http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1005293). That story is definitely worth a read or two or ten. If you haven't read it yet, a) you should, and b) this song will probably not make much sense to you.

The song here is written from the perspective of Yugi Motou from Millennium Light. The scene I had pictured in my head while writing it was at the beginning of Chapter 2, "Complicated," where Yugi is sitting at the table trying to write a song -- and only managing to write the name "Yami" over and over again. Although I realize that he was not actually being productive then, that was the kind of mood and scene I pictured him being in while writing it.

Also, I recognize that the song here is more melodramatic than Yugi would normally be, but please remember that it is a song, written in the modern teen-pop style. When you have 250 repetitive words with which to make your point, you aren't going to mince them, are you?

And now that my rambling is as long as the song itself, I will end my rant. As my final note, I would like to say a very big "thank you!" to Sasha for allowing me to post this, and for all of her support and praise. It is very much appreciated! I hope that everyone here takes the time to read her work -- it is all a great deal better than this little song of mine, I assure you.*
