“Tanks for da dinner pops! It was great!' Joey said with his usual enthusiasm, as he rushed out the door, holding on to his umbrella for dear life. The rain had taken a life of its own and during dinner had disappeared and reappeared, each time getting worse. Now the onslaught was pouring and didn't show any sign of letting up.

“Looks like we are going to have a huge thunderstorm tonight” Mr. Mouto remarked as he absently closed the back door. “Yugi, I'm going up front to take care of the shop. I need to finish up some stuff but won't be long. You need to get Tenshi some nightclothes and tomorrow we will go shopping for her. Tenshi, dear, I think you should go and have a nice hot bath and get out of those damp clothes. I won't be out late” Yugi and Tenshi nodded and Mr. Mouto left.

`Come on. Lets get you some clothes so you can take that bath.” Yugi said motioning for Tenshi to follow him. She hesitated, looking down at the shorts and tank top she wore. Yugi noticed he hesitation and, smiling, he gently took her hand and led her down the hallway to his grandfather's room. Yugi rummaged through his grandfathers drawers until he came across an old over sized shirt. Yugi then got a towel and he handed these to Tenshi, pointing her to the bathroom.

Tenshi just looked at Yugi then at the bathroom. She then slowly made her way to take a bath. But there was one tiny itsy bitsy problem. She had no clue how to work the faucets!! After calling Yugi in and having him show her how the darned things worked she finally got her bath.

Meanwhile Yugi looked through his old clothes looking for anything that could fit Tenshi. Amazingly the girl was a few inches shorter than Yugi but still managed to look older. He pulled out a black tank top and some genderless jeans he found at the back of his closet. He folded them and placed them on his bed. Then he went out to make hot chocolate, after all what was a stormy night with out hot chocolate, and fix up the couch she would be sleeping on.

He picked up a book he was reading and sat at the kitchen table reading, waiting for Tenshi to finish. While he was reading, unknown to him, Yami had materialized in a chair directly across from Yugi. He was staring longingly at the boy, his face resting in his hands on the table.

“Who's that?” Came a tentative voice from the doorway. Yugi jumped and Yami disappeared. Yugi had gotten lost in his book and had forgotten Tenshi was there.

“ Who's Who?” Yugi asked looking up but missing the former Pharaoh as he dissipated into the Millennium Puzzle. Tenshi looked at the place where Yami was before, then looked down at the ground. She bit her lip and couldn't help thinking that not only did she not know who she was but that she was crazy as well.

“Nobody.” She muttered into the ground.

Yugi looked at Tenshi and couldn't help but stare at her. Even though the shirt he had given her to sleep in was old, she still looked beautiful. She had found a rubber band in the bathroom and had put her long black hair into a ponytail.

`Stop it! Stop those thoughts Right now!' he told his over active imagination. He didn't know it but Yami was watching his thoughts from his soul room. The pharaoh grew a bit jealous and sad. He knew he could never have Yugi. But he could make his light happy by bringing the two of them together. But he was still a bit jealous at the Tenshi.

“ Um Yugi-kun? I just um wanted to uh say good night so good night.” She blurted out. Then she dove underneath the blanket on the couch and hid. Yugi blinked at Tenshi's sudden disappearance then stood up and walked to his room.

/aibou?/

/Yes Yami/

/…Um good night…/

Tenshi had just turned off the table light and had snuggled deep under the warm covers. As she closed her eyes she couldn't help but despair. She had no clue who she was, where she came from, and no past. A pang of grief and longing passed through the covers and chilled the girl to the bone. Who was she? Silent tears began to leak down her face and soaked the pillow and her cheeks. Who was-

Her thoughts were cut off by a huge crash. She gave a small scream and jumped off the couch. She ran to Yugi's room as fast as she could. As she ran a flash lit up the house followed by an even bigger roar than before. She gave another scream as the hall way lighted eerily for a second and made the artifacts appear outlined in a terrifying fifth dimension. She finally got to Yugi's room and hurried over to the sleeping form in the bed.

“Yugi!” She cried as she reached the bed. “Yugi…!” She shook him, her voice full of fear. “Wha…Tenshi, whasa madder?” Yugi asked sleepily as he looked at Tenshi's terrified face. Again the lightning flashed and they both jumped at the crash. Unconsciously Tenshi reached Yugi and clung to him in a small ball of terror. Yugi's eyes widened as she clung to him. Yugi awkwardly patted her back. Another flash and crash made them both jump.

Yami then appeared beside Yugi and Tenshi looked straight at him, her green eyes wide, and her heart beating faster than a humming birds. Another flash and she cried out, burying her head in Yugi's blue pajamas.

“What is that thing?” Yami and Yugi's gazes met with amazement and astonishment as another crash came from outside.

“You…can see…me?” Yami asked shocked. Tenshi just looked fearfully at him again before she hid her face again, clutching Yugi tighter.

“Tenshi, its ok. This is my best friend Yami.” Yugi said soothingly to Tenshi.

“H-how co-come I can see through him?” Tenshi asked still hiding.

“We-ell, its because he's a spirit.” Tenshi just about fainted as he said that but instead jumped at the huge crash and the sound of rain thundering down even harder. “Please don't be afraid Tenshi. Yami would never hurt you.” Tenshi just whimpered and felt as if she was going to die from fright. She clung Tighter to Yugi.

Yugi looked pleadingly at Yami. Yami smiled and with another flash of lightning they switched places. Tenshi felt a change as if , as if Yugi was moving around, even though he was perfectly still. The arms that comforted her became stronger and confident. She automatically snuggled even deeper into his arms. The arms picked her up from her crouch on the floor and onto his lap.

Another crash soon followed and Tenshi flinched. Yugi however didn't even budge. She looked up and froze. Her eyes went as big as dinner plates and her mouth hung open in a silent scream. IT wasn't Yugi who was holding her. It was Yami. Yami's arms were still tight around the small girl.

Then from behind her, where Yami used to be came Yugi's soothing voice. “See? I told you Yami would never hurt a fly. I wouldn't let him.” Her said omitting the shadow realm part of Yami's personality. Tenshi froze, her face facing Yami's shoulder. Slowly, with her eyes still wide and her teeth clenched, her face blue (A/N: You know that look anime Characters get when they are really scared, the one where they have little pricks for eyes and their teeth are clenched and they have the sweat marks and the blue forehead… Yeah, that one.) She turned around. And there was Yugi, floating a couple inches off the ground. Tenshi squeezed Yami tighter unconsciously, her eyes riveted on Yugi.

Then they switched back. Yugi was almost crushed by Tenshi's tight grip. Yugi gave Yami a smile and a nod of thanks and Yami gave a rare smile back at his light. He floated over to his puzzle and dissipated.

Then another lightning flashed and Tenshi began to cry. Yugi was embarrassed to say the least. He had a girl on his lap crying in nothing more than an old t-shirt. But he was secretly glad he was able to comfort the girl. Yugi slowly began to rock back and forth, humming an old lullaby. Slowly the tenshi's tears abated and she fell asleep. Yugi gave a relieved sigh. Then he realized that he was stuck!

/Yami! Help me!/ he asked his Yami, pleading. Yami chuckled. /I'm sorry aibou but what can I do? I'm just a humble spirit/ Yami laughed again. /Good night Yugi! Sweet dreams./ He said then cut off their mind link.

In truth Yugi was glad about Tenshi spending the night with him.

Yami on the other hand was jealous. HE was the one that was supposed to hold Yugi, not that girl. He scowled and went to bed.

When grandpa came home from the store, he looked in on the two sleeping forms. He smiled at the picture the two made.

`My two fallen angels' were his own thoughts as he went to bed.
