oh poor sess, what did he do to make you want to break him? and how will he wind up at kagome's? after he gets away/is released will she keep his lands or will she be killed? (I personally hope Kagome kills the bitch then helps sess, I think it is wrong to have that kind of control over a person.... and that way sess keeps his lands too) |

OH MY GOD!!!! This is one of THE best fics I ever read!!! Sess getting captured and raped.....brutal as well as him feeling the shame and fear. I love how the bad guys got JUST what they deserved and more and everyone else ended up mated happy and immortal. 10 out of 10 SP |

I have to thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful story. This is definitely one of the best fanfics I have ever read if not the best. It was truly a captivating plot. You wouldn't even need to be an Inuyasha fan to enjoy it. Throughout the story I found myself desperate to know what happened next & when I was forced to stop reading to sleep I was often cursing the need to go to work. I had been anticipating the this story for a few months now since I prefer to read completed fics. Having read another of your stories I new it was going to be good but this was far better than I imagined. I look forward to reading the epilogue when you find the time to post it and I hope you will keep us updated on any professional projects for I would love to continue reading your work. I wish you much success with you writing career & thank you again for this great story.

I don't know if you remember me--a few months back I asked you a question about ASS and you told me about this story. It took me a little bit of time to get around reading it but once I started, it was really hard to stop--I stayed up hours later than I really should have and when I had to stop, it was kinda like "Damn you, Time!" I loved every second of reading it: I loved how you added Oda Nobunaga into the story and the entirety of his character addition and how he just popped up every few chapter; how, in a VERY dignified, not-cliche way you made everyone immortal; how everyone got their just-deserts/happy endings; just how non-cliche everything was in your story. It was amazing and now, I must go back through every chapter, copy and paste it all and save it to my laptop so that I can always read it whenever I want. In fact, if I had a printer, I would print it out and bind it and read it all the time as if it were a regular book. I really look forward to reading all the rest of your fanfiction (including the epilogue! ^.~, >.

for the lonest time, i have passed this story unsure if i wanted to read it, but now that i have....WOW. i can't express the words, but wow. for being an at home mom, i didnt want to do anything but read this story and i have read some pretty good stories but this one....amazing. kami i hope you write more like this one. your words made me mad, sad, and happy. sometimes i wanted to jump in and rescue whoever was in danger....and i know this is a fan fiction but it really touch me. please write more.

Ah, Rin. I'm reading this yet again. Now that I know how the story ends, I can really enjoy the n/c yaoi. It was actually quite hot, despite poor Sesshoumaru's dignity. Anywho, I wanted to ask - I don't know if you'll remember me, but now I'm a moderator over at inuyasha-fanfiction.com. I would be more than thrilled if you would add VoH, among your other stories, to us. Of course there's no pressure - it's your choice. My motivation is that I would love to nominate this story when our annual awards come around (in about 6 months) but your story has to be part of the site to do so. I realize you haven't submitted anything in a while, but I wasn't sure if you were totally out of the fandom. You don't need to answer or anything. In the meantime, I wish you the best!

i have to say that chapter 21's battles are fantastic! i will also admit that i never, ever, ever, ever read long battle sequences. however, your superior writing along with the exciting constant action caused me to read every word! i stopped at one point and called my daughter back into my room and read to her and she said, "Wow! that was great!" i have to say kudos, because she's 14 and if it's not "Twilight" related she hasn't been too interested as of late. again. thank you for this amazing story!

i've only just finished reading chapter 3 and i just had to stop to tell you how much i am enjoying this. this fic is one that will linger with me throughout my day with anticipation to read more! it's not predictable and there's not cliffhangers at the end of the chapters (so far) to keep me clicking the "next" button...it's the story itself. fantastic. thank you for sharing. now i'm off to chapter 4!

Hey Rin! Ooh, you get some long reviews. I enjoyed what I've read so far of your fic which is up to Chapter 17 or so, specifically when they escape their captors at the castle. It's a very thought provoking piece and even with the graphic nature of the material, I thought you executed it well. The research that you've done is impressive and I've enjoyed the character portrayals. Personal struggle is a favorite element of mine to read, so seeing how Sesshoumaru fought to maintain his pride was very engaging. I think my only reservation, which may be unfounded since I have not caught up, is that Sesshoumaru and Kagome's bond is founded in pain and desperation. I would like to see some doubt on their parts for each other down the road, because neither of them were emotionally stable when they took to each other for comfort. Again, it's jumping the gun a bit, but it sort of plays in the back of my mind as I read. As if they were never given the choice to love each other. Wonderful story. I think you really have a gift and I'm looking forward to reading more soon.

So glad i found this story again and i'm glad to see updates. I loved the way kag handled the people and the fact that iku got his unhappy ending. Deep thoughts for sess were great and now i have to finish the last ch... ^_~

I can see why this has been nominated for so many awards and is currently nominated at this time. I read this because it was nominated and I am so glad I did. It was an amazing story that grabbed me by the boo-boos and didn't let go. I was so upset to reach the end of it. The enjoyment factor was higher than a ten. You are awesome. Even though my own works have been nominated, I know who I shall vote for in this catagory and that's you. You truly deserve every bit of praise you get.

Well, this has certainly been a wild ride. From the horrors of the dungeon to the extasy of the bedroom, I have read over the trials and tribulations of Sess and Kagome with bated breath. You have written a unique, intriguing, and wonderful story filled with realistic, well rounded, and loveable (and hateable) characters. I know that, as you work toward fame and fortune outside the fanfiction forum, you will do very well. While you have taken the base story that R Takahashi provided, you have molded the personalities and characters into your own. Thanks so much for writing for us over the year(s), huzzah!
