Here we are at the end of this fantabulous journey and I feel both happy and sad about it. Like some of the others, I do feel bittersweet that your career as a fanfiction writer is ending. I feel like I just discovered you and now you're leaving. I am glad that you are devoting your time to writing novels. I honestly can't wait to see what comes from you and will be looking forward to that. I'm going to go through this site (when I find the time from my heavy writing schedule) to read all of your works. As far as the story is concerned, the complexities of the characters was breathtaking. Everyone melded in perfect synthesis with each other and complimented the story perfectly. You're one of a few writers I've read with a feudal era work and did not include Naraku and while others may have issues with that with wanting to keep everything so-called "canon," I like that a writer can take a story into a different realm and create a fantastic piece of work. I feel like I was personally vested in what happened with these characters and that's the hallmark of a great story. I'm only going to make 3 comments as far as the storyline is concerned because you created everything absolutely perfect without going overboard; I agree about Inuyasha's complex characterization and his killing of Nobunaga - oh my effing gawd - that was absolutely inspired! It would have never occurred to me to write something like that and while I'm in the middle of writing a story about the past and future society, it never crossed my mind to kill a historical figure like that. The second comment is about Shippo - Future Taiyoukai indeed! I'm still having problems picturing him so grown up and in love but I can see it the way you've written it. The third comment is Shin. Geeze you made him sound absolutely sexy! I hope that, in your epilogue, you can make him and Nana have a future together. Only Kagome changing the future for the better can make a paring between a half dragon/human and a youkai possible. I don't know what else to say except you make me proud to be an Alternate Universe writer. You do us proud. Thank you for loving fan fiction enough to write it for us and I look forward to your final words. Kags357

Haha, I had forgotten all about Nobunaga! I was so into Sesshoumaru's and Kagome's new life, I had forgotten all about the man that had made all of this possible in the first place. It was a lovely chapter; it's nice to see them so widely accepted. Inuyasha as a father was so sweet. I can't wait to see Sesshoumaru as a father! *hinthint* lol I love all the pairings in this story, from Uchuu and his mortal wife, to Rin and her demon fiance. ;) By they way, the whole "Shippou - Future Taiyoukai" thing was great. It was a great ending. As for your impending depatrure from fanfiction: I don't blame you. As a fanfic writer myself, I can see how you must feel. I've got a young epic on my hands, as well as a min-epic under my belt and an AU that's about half-finished. But even though I'm in the slow works of writing my own novel, I truly love the SessKag fanfic world too much to abandon it now, even though I know how much of a toll it takes to write them. But I know I will someday, so I can honestly say, "Good luck!" I look forward to the epilougue, which I'm sure will contain a pregnant Kagome and/or pitter-patter-happy Taiyoukai home. Haha, Sesshoumaru with a castle full of hanyou children... Anyhow, we'll see you soon, and I wish you luck in your future endevors!

Not many authors catch my attention and and respect, but your story certainly did. I've enjoyed Violation of Honor immensely and look forward to reading your original stories.

Lovely wedding. It is sad the story is coming to a close. It is like a friend is going away. I wish you all the best in the pursuit of your career. I know you will succeed in anything you put your mind to, plus you have the support of your family, I am sure. Maybe you could leave little progress reports now and then on LJ for your on line friends. Maddie

Rin, send me a message on IM. I do have ideas for you if you are interested in hearing what I have to say. They are not story ideas, but something that would work FOR you as a writer in the near and distant future. As for this chapter. it bounced around a little, but was a beautifully written chapter. I'm really looking forward to seeing how things turn out in the epilogue. Ja!

I've really enjoyed this & rather hate to see it end. I do have 1 unrelated to this fic question though, will Madman be finished before you mostly leave fanfiction? I've been waiting for months for an update or for it to be completed & it hasn't been touched in a long while. I'd really like to see how it all ends.

It is a little bittersweet, for you to be making a general end of your fanfiction epics, but I can't really find it within myself to be sad. I think you will do amazingly as an author of your own worlds, and look forward to seeing books written by you. I'm usually a bit too shy to review, but after following your works for so, so long, I can't really not say something, now. You certainly have grown, and your style of writing is so incredibly fluid. You have an extreme talent of making your readers /feel/ for your characters, and get lost on your chapters. Thank you so much for sharing your abilities and brainchildren with us.

very good ending. i loved the way inuyasha killed nobunaga. *snickers* i will be sad to see you go, but i will look for books by you. I do understand your sentiments, though, for I do not plan to write fanfiction for the rest of my life either. ;D I am working on my BA in English with a minor in professional writing. One day, our books may be side by side on the shelves. lol. for now, i will continue to read/write and hone my abilities and help others. I eagerly await the epilogue. Much love, FL

Heheh, I read it again. You put a lot of work into this. The pace at which you've cranked out chapters is amazing. One thing stands out in this story. You've been realistic in not succumbing to magically healing Sesshoumaru of his trauma. I like that. I still get confused on the timelines, but that is a small matter. I may have mentioned this before, but you remind me of Nora Roberts because you write in the pattern that each character behaves. Kagome's thoughts, actions, and words are all Kagome. You do a great job on her, too. It's the same with all of the other characters. You did a great Kouga. I was surprised. Inuyasha is so difficult to write because he has so many extremes. He appears to be brash and rude, and sometimes that is all an author will focus on. You didn't. He has his moments of caring, of praising the others, of comforting, and of bolstering confidence and self-esteem. I like that you blended that into the story. You also matured him to a degree. The mental/emotional bond he shared with Kagome was amazing and I liked that a lot. Sesshoumaru can be difficult or easy to write. Getting his language down and the nuances in it is what is hard. I found it difficult to picture him speaking endearments, but other than that, you did him justice. He is such a wildcard that he can be made into a strategist (which according to RT, he isn't), or into a total goofball. You've made him real. Like RT, you've allowed his inflated ego to lead him into disaster. He didn't plan strategically. He behaved exactly as he had with Naraku. Act first, ask questions later. He kept his thoughts to himself and only spoke when absolutely necessary. I really liked that he didn't say a word to Iku the first day that he went to the dungeon for revenge, and I was impressed when you showed that revenge wouldn't wipe out the effects of the past. As for Rin and Shippou; I don't care what anyone else has said, it was very cute. You used them well in the plot, especially the episode where Sesshoumaru found them together. By the way, Sesshoumaru's inability to balance his emotions was an excellent play. I'm sure we all love Uchuu and Shin. Uchuu is like an amalgam of Inuyasha, Kouga, and Miroku. Shin is very different. He's like a prejudiced human that is forced to live in another man's shoes, not very pretty on the inside. However, he was intelligent enough to make his choices quickly. I'm sure he's wickedly beautiful on the outside. You really made me hate Oda Nobunaga. Creepy guy full of delusions of grandeur that came true. Miroku's and Sango's personalities were in keeping with canon. I liked Sango's devotion to Inuyasha's leadership, and I can understand Miroku's decision concerning having children and taking in orphans. You even found little ways to use Kilala that individualized her and contributed to the unfolding of events. I didn't like Hyuuga too much, but he was necessary, and I liked how you used him to get Yumiko and Saburo together. Yumiko is a great character. A strong individual, yet feminine. I'm running out of space here. I like all of your characters and how you used them, including Saya and Sumiho and her 'sisters'. Asuza and Iku just make me want to throw up, so, heh, you did a great job there as well. I particularly liked the bonding in the dungeon between all three prisoners and Kagome's search for the identity of her silent youkai. The events at the meeting in Yokaishi were great. It was eventful, forwarded the plot and added Kouga to the mix. I loved the effect that had on Sesshoumaru. LOL Great job bringing Kouga in like that. Well, I could spend all day, but I'm running out of space. ^_^ I look forward to your upcoming chapter. I'm musing about whether or not you're going to bring Hyuuga to the wedding. LOL That wouldn't go over well, but then, I would want Uchuu to be there. Heh, he might have to fight Hyuuga about that one. ^_^ Snow
