Hmmm. I actually had a very hard time deciding whether or not to comment on this one. I know what your intention was, and a sneaky, tricky Kagome IS fun to see. BUT, this particular plan of hers was very unappealing to see and struck me as very OOC. To completely disregard Hiei's very real concerns and fears, and to go so far as to rape him in his sleep so he would be forced to accept the fait accompli--well, it's Jerry Springer fare. And yes, she DID rape him. It's non-consensual sex and you really need to put up "non-con" as the warning. The situation is not "ideologically sensitive," it is clear-cut rape. He said no to having a child with her, and he usually went so far as to leave when she was fertile to avoid any possibility of sex resulting in pregnancy. She was harboring no delusions that he wanted it. She knew he would refuse to have sex with her. The only reason he was THERE at that time was she had lied to him and told him she would stop pestering him and would wait until he had time to think about it some more. He went to SLEEP. And she deliberately aroused him and had sex with him while he was unable to stop her. His reaction when he realized what she had done clearly shows he was an unwilling participant. That's rape. And it would not gain her what she wanted. That kind of betrayal is something Hiei would never stand for. He would leave her and never look back. Now, like I said, I completely understand what your intention with this was--a funny, steamy, sneaky little story where Kagome tricks Hiei and gets her way and it's all for the best and we can laugh at her getting the best of him. But this is just not a scenario I can view as light-hearted and fun. Your writing is wonderful, as always, and the idea behind the scenario is good, but I don't like to think of Kagome in this light. And it would just all end SO badly. I know I am older than most people who read fanfics, and perhaps my reaction is due to that. I know that it probably seems like I am taking parts of this way too seriously and I don't want to discourage you in any way--you should feel free to write what you want--but I thought you should know how this particular situation comes across to some of us.

Please don't mistake my disapproval of Kagome's behavior with a dislike of the fic itself. It was really well written and plotted out. You are a creative writer. :)

Maybe I'm the one taking this too seriously, but I don't like what Kagome did in this fic. This was non consensual. IMO, she raped him. She had sex with his body when his mind wasn't able to make a conscious decision. Worse, she did it when she knew that his response would have been no. Hiei has a right to feel betrayed and be really angry at her.

Hah, I loved this! It was funny and very original. I can so imagine how angry Hiei will be later, and Kagome is so devious! But hey, baby fever will do that to a woman. That was an awesome take on the prompt!

talk about one determined kagome. i love it. i can just picture hiei saying that to after everything was done. never underestimate a woman when she wants something. come hell or high water, she will get what she wants.
