Your version of Vegeta is quite different from your other versions, but I think that's fine. It wouldn't be worth reading if he was the same each time. I love how you showing Vegeta's appeal towards Bulma. I can't wait for the next chapter.

You're writing is never boring. You're characters are always different, and yet still remarkably in character. It's not secret that you're the best author in the DBZ universe. Thanks for not having us wait too long! Seems you're on a roll with this one and I certainly hope you keep dishing them chapters at this rate? *crosses fingers*. I for one, actually think this is different from what I've normally seen from you in terms of characterization. The angst is a lot more palpable here. It's very good Tempest, and it's very good you're back in the fandom. You just never know when you're gonna get that BV itch eh? It just never completely goes away.

I don't understand why people are being so critic about the characterization. This is Vegeta and Bulma, there's only one way of writing them. He's proud and rough. She's smart and feisty. Your style of writing is what got me accompanying your stories in the first place. I don't want it to change. This is a unique story in my opinion, although I'm not one to read many AU stories (just yours lol). Vegeta does seems less intent on murdering Bulma at first sight in this one lol. I won't risk saying he's softer, but I guess he wouldn't be so angry at her in this version because she's basically in the same situation as him. I can't wait for the next chapter!

It has your really nice poetic style of writing. The only thing is that the characterizations and premise seem very much like your other stories. I hope it unfolds in a unique way. The thing I'm always curious about is the changes Vegeta must have had to make to adapt to Freeza and Zarbon's 'culture' when he became a purger for them. How much did that affect his Saiyian upbringing. Freeza always strikes me as being like a depraved roman emporer like Nero who was extremely hedonistic and self serving as portrayed in your stories. You convey that sense of Ice jin culture well here. I always wonder what the motivations for that are in his culture. What else makes him tick? The thing that strikes me is that with Zarbon is he's always portrayed as being of the same mind as Freeza. Yet in the series he seems to be of his own mind. I would be intrigued to see him thinking more for himself and what motivates him to see Vegeta and Bulma as captives entertaining him. I realize this is an AU. I hope I don't see off base. It's just my impression. But I'm very happy to see you writing again!
