Really enjoyed chapter 21. While part of me wants to shake Kagome myself, since she seems to be a little slow on the notion of just how hated human/youkai relationships really are, I am forever grateful that she doesn't share those same views...as is Inuyasha, I'm sure. Loved the kiss, and how their overall relationship is progressing. You have a lot of room to work in the universe you have created, because you can basically recreate a lot of the stuff that happened in the canon, only now, it'll all be completely different. But there will be no shortage of ideas, I'm sure. Keep up the good work!

It's incredible as to how cruel people can be sometimes, and you did an excellent job in showing it. In chapter 20, I wanted to kill that one man, than the rest of the villagers in the next chapter. But on a lighter note, it's nice to see Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship slowly progressing into something deeper. Hey, just curious, are Sango and Miroku going to come to the scene soon, or even at all? I'm just wandering. Well anyway, I can't wait for the next update, you are very much capturing my attention and heart. You Rock!!!!!

You seem to be sowing the seeds of a new nemesis, I whole heartedly concur. Wayward priests or monks do make for strong enemies, especially when they have a way with words. I think you are doing a great job so far, and eagerly await the next chapter!

Wonderful update! Personally, I like the way chapter 20 turned out, although I think I'm about as surprised as Inuyasha at the sudden turn of events. Looks like they've made a new enemy that will be reappearing again at a later date, so that should be fun. Can't wait to see what happens in chapter 21!

Wow...even though I realize I'm coming into the game a little late, I just have to say what a wonderful story this is. I just sat through the whole thing from the beginning to chapter 19, where you have currently left off, and I am now officially "favorite"-ing it so that I can stay updated on your updates. What a wonderful take on the what-if side of the AU/Canon mesh. I love AU-Canons, and I am especially enjoying this one because up until just a couple of weeks before his sealing for Inuyasya, and the moment she fell into the past for Kagome, they are the exact same people as the Canon. From your break off points, they are now merely experiencing a different set of circumstances. Beautifully done! I love the fact that Kikyou will never be a romantic obstacle between them, and I also love how many lives will be saved this time around without the shattering of the jewel. You're right, I most certainly did not see that coming, your elimination of the jewel so quickly into the story, but I really liked that. Now they have a new mission, finding another way to send Kagome home...although it looks like she won't even want to go home after much longer. And you've hinted at Naraku during the Yura bit, and have plainly mentioned the addition of Miroku, so I'm really looking forward to seeing where you plan on taking this story. Keep up the good work!

I wanna start off by saying thank you for decided to put this on MM. I never would have found it if you just left it on FF. I'm really loving this story. I like the changes that you have made, and most of the things that you have kept the same. And even though I know many others love him, I am so glad that you didn't have Shippo join the group. I've always felt he was a major hindrance to Kagome and Inuyasha getting along, not just romantically but he seemed to strain their friendship too by constantly instigating fights. I kinda hope Sango doesn't join them for the same reason. But then maybe they will be enough of a couple by the time they meet her that she can't drive a wedge between them. On the other hand I am looking forward to Miroku joining the group since I think like with Shippo's father being there, Inuyasha will feel compelled not to leave her side at night. And that can only lead to more sweet fluff. Oh and one other thing... why don't you post "Kagome's Curse" on MM. I think it would increase your readership if nothing else. And I would love to see it continued.

I was certainly enjoying every moment of this chapter. Like I said before, I'm glad you include the things I wish did happen in the manga, especially that simple kiss they shared. Keep up the creative work.

I really think you are doing a great job so far. As to the question you posed in this chapter I don't think making Goshiki an oni would be to far of a stretch. With this story you have already taken some artistic license, so if it works, do it! I really can not wait for the next installment.
