Well that was a long monster....which I thought to be well worth the wait. No more putting it off, it's time for the lemon. Those poor kids had an evaaaaal wait!! But will he think of something to get the marking done?? Poor Toga...he's too much like his Uncle Yasha.

Greats story as always. Hope you update soon. I have just one question to ask though. Its not related to the story. Its just a random question. You seem to know alot about the Inuyasha series and movies. So are the movies all related to one another? And is the serries over or did it just catch up to the manga

"Ah...Fujiko" (Lupin III). Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've been thinking of that ever since I read the first chapter. Another brilliantly plotted and brilliantly executed fic! I love this series and I can't wait to find out what happens when Toga marks her. I read a lot of romance novels and I have to say that you remind me of Nora Roberts. This series is like a Youkai version of the McGregors. Thanks for your excellent work - reading Purity 1 and Purity 2 has really brightened my weekend!

Toga's so sweet, that's the same problem Uncle Yasha had - I think that's this story line... I don't know any more, I read so much... At any rate. Love the story, love the beach, they are adorable together, love Toga. Looking forward to the next event

Your genious with plot twists is unmatched. I know how much you hate the whole "marking the mate" business that seems to be so popular amoung the "InuYasha" fanfiction circle. Now you've turned around with an inspired reason for it's actuality. "An old practice..." and again, I totally agree with you about, "Why would you want to hurt someone you love, someone you have pledged to spend your life with?" Physically hurting someone so that all the world can see that she/he is yours...and so they can see how barbaric you are. Now you have submitted a totally logical and clinical reason that it has to be done...in this case anyway. It makes sense; if you want the mating bond to do more, then more needs to be done. -- The thought of hurting Sierra, the absolute LAST person he would ever harm, because it's the only way to save her does not make it any easier on Toga. -- You've taken something "kinky and crass" - re-tooled it and made it your own. Masterfully done!!

Shoot. I forgot about the whole marking thing (I'm getting the various stories confused - that's what happens when you read 'em all at once!). But...he's got to do it, right? I mean, to save Sierra's life? Sounds like he's going to have as much trouble as his Uncle Yasha did, but he's got more incentive to go through with the actual bloodletting. Man, I hope nothing bad happens... ::whine::

This is by far one of the lovliest weddings yet attended, realtime or fic!! The bride was lovely in her gown ;), the flower&pearl headpiece breathtaking in its description...the ceremony itself with the wealth of love washing between the pair, Toga's daze before the minister...then his display of inherited of Sessho control, made so much more formidable with Lady Kagura's genetics in the mix...despite both his and Sienna's stated fervent wish to sequester themselves. But, I digress. The banter 'twixt cousins just prior to her appearance was hilarious, Ryo's antics,then territorial display when another sidled up to Nezumi despite his spending the reception in Casanova mode--*not* with her, why doesn't she speak up?? Arrgggh...:)--the entire proceedings left the sense of such a rambling, affectionate family filled with unique personalities--*LOVED* this; thanks for the invite. ;) Kagura radiates off the page with her usual thoughtful verve, interestingly the calm/eye of any hurricane--how highly fitting for our Wind Sorceress...and Sesshomaru himself--how he's evolved over the centuries under your pen's tutelage...absolutely beautiful. Ah! Nearly forgot-history repeating itself w/a ookami youkai poaching upon Yasha's direct line? heh-heh ;) Gin's such a terrif character as well!!! Kami, your talent--*THUD*!!!Missed seeing I&K...were they inspired by the sweet nuptials to avail themselves of Goshinboku? ;) Thanks for a wonderful, wonderful tale. *WAHHHH*!!!

The dress is perfectly lovely and the ceremony was...frustrating the hell out of Toga! LOL -- Man, you get a crowd of people together like this and the males start getting territorial & overly protective...in the most irritating and hilarious ways. I wonder how many times the phrase, "Hands Off!" was secretly thought? -- I loved the little foreshadowing with Ryomaru and Nezumi. The poor girl...Ryo's 'date' for the wedding and he's probably hitting on other women while alternating his attention to keeping other males away from her. (Can't wait for you to continue on that fic!! *blinks innocently*) -- I wonder how long the newlyweds will be able to hold out before slipping away? -- I always come away from your stories with a smile! Thank you!

Yay! Poor Toga managed to survive the long wait until his wedding...poor guy, thwarted at every turn in his attempts to find some "alone-time" with his bride! Just curious about the Nezumi/Ryo interactions...where does the timeline of Purity 3 intersect with this story? Have the events in the opening chapters of P3 already happened by time of Toga's wedding? Thanks for the quick update! It's always a great break from work to settle down and read the latest installment.
