I'm sorry I didn't review sooner, and I just want to say, I never thought that your Yugi was horrible or stupid. I'm also sorry that some people miss your point or, worse, misinterpret it (though if their reviews are long enough, their fun to read, debate, and even get ideas from). I'm half sorry that you had to belabor your point, though the end of chp 15 and all of 16 were incredibly powerful and wonderful to read. I could just hear the pain in "ache" every time Yugi said it. But then, I've understood where he's been coming from all along, even if only subconsciously. Your notes at the end of 15&16 just reaffirm what I had picked up on. It's funny, your style has a tendency to make perfect sense to me unconsciously. Then you go and actually "say" it aloud and my mind goes, "*click* Oh yeah! I get it." Bah, don't worry that your vision gets misread, someone famous once said publishing a story is like taking your child into the backyard and shooting him because you leave it open to everyone's interoperation. But as I said, that can lead to fun discussions and idea development. Oh! And I like how you slipped in Yugi using Kaiba's first name and admitting he might like him. So anyway, have these Yugi&Yami dolls, they have magnets inside to make it look like they're hugging. See ya round!

This is a excellent story please continue. Its soooo sad as well. Also hopefully in the end somehow Yami, yugi and seto can get along. But so far its been really good. Whatever the end result this fanfic has been a pleasure to read.

Really an excellent fic. I have also considered what if Yugi hadn't been able to forgive Yami and you've come up with a facinating alternate view. Your writing style is excellent and your characterizations, with one exception, are great. The one exception is Yugi. I've read your author notes and understand what you wanted to do, but I think you've made Yugi just a little too over the top to portray him as anything other than unhinged. He basically wants to kill Yami for killing Pegasus. Using the logic of murder justifies murder which is a rather crazed thing to think. Also, look at how he's going about it. He has physically attacked people, he has lied in an attempt to regain the puzzle, he's enlisted his friends for the stated purpose of killing Yami and wanted to commit breaking and entering to commit the deed. In legal terms (and if Yami was a real person) that comes pretty close to first degree murder with special circumstances. Hardly a sympathy inspiring comparision. He also comes off just a bit too, well, unbalanced when talking about the necessity of killing Yami. Instead of trying to backtrack and explain that Yugi is really just trying to be a good person with good reasons. Use what you have. If Yugi is acting nuts, maybe he has a good reason? Like having his soul ripped in two? Maybe something else is going on that is affecting Yugi. Just my take on the situation. No matter what you do, I will still appreciate your story. Can't wait for the update!

This is the first review I've ever written, you've driven me to it. This story (all of it, not just this chapter) is what I believe Fan Fiction should be. You've captured the characters so well, putting them into a situation that they couldn't quite be in the show. I'm so impressed.

Wow. Yugi is really one messed up little bishie psychologically Poor guy! I feel so bad for him! Y'know, maybe if Yami could explain about the bond to him...

*blinks* I do hope that Yugi survives this! He's on the verge of a serious breakdown! The question now is... even though he's pretty much ready to take back Yami no matter what, will the puzzle allow it? I mean, since he was the one who originally broke the bond to begin with? Update soon!

I always wondered what would happen if Yami and Yugi didn't forgive each other. I was just too darn lazy to write it out ^^; Anyway, you've done a great job with this story so far and I can't wait to read the next chapter.

This is a really interesting story. I'm very glad to have read it. Yugi probably wouldn't know what to do if Yami had killed someone and I believe that you were right in everyone's reactions to what happened, keeping them in character. You're a very good author and I can tell that from the time you've started this fic to where it is currently, you are also getting better by the chapter. I just hope that soon Yugi can finally get some common sense into his head, lol. I hope you continue to write on this wonderful peice of art!

Really enjoying this fic, I feel sorry for Yugi though I think he's just confused, I dont think that Yami really ever lied to him about loving him and that he isnt lying to Seto, he loves them both. But Yugi I think is just caught up in his own moral dilema, it seems as though Yugi has already forgiven Yami, Yugi just can't forgive himself. But I could be totally wrong , please continue. I hope they end up together S/Y/YY

Is that boy torn or what? I guess Yugi doesn't understand yet that it is possible to love two people at the same time... Hopefully someday he'll understand that. Update soon please!

He turned down the duel?!!!!!! *eyes wide* Okay, so no duel. I loved Mai's line about having a reputation as an interfering bitch to maintain! It made me laugh, which was a nice change. This fic has made me use up...*looks at a pile of empty Kleenex boxes* at least ten boxes of Kleenex. It's just so angsty! Yugi's rejection is tearing Yami apart, and Yugi can't bring himself to forgive Yami, and...*pulls out another box of Kleenex, grabs a tissue, and starts sobbing.* This fic is sooooooo sad! But please, I want to know how it turns out! Please excuse me, must go stock up on Kleenex now...

I never saw yugi as the 'bad'guy.. Don't like all the stuff he says, but everyone is like that once in awhile. He's just hurt and has an inner battle. I think you're doing a great job at writing this.
