After the Bladebreakers finished their practice for the day, Hilary waved goodbye to them and started to walk home. She only got a few feet away before Tyson ran out to catch up to her. Since he had run all the way from the dojo, he was already out of breath. Hilary turned around to look at him. "What's up, Tyson? Is something wrong?" Tyson said, "No, not really. Well, actually...I wanted to say..." Hilary raised an eyebrow. "Yes?" Tyson's face suddenly turned red. "Well, um...I just wanted to say...if you ever need to talk about something that's bothering you...I'll be here to listen..." Hilary couldn't help but smile at Tyson's offer. "Thanks, Tyson. I really should be going now. I'll be by tomorrow, though." Tyson said, "No, not really. I'll be by tomorrow, though." Tyson smiled back. "All right. See you tomorrow, Hilary." He then walked back inside as Hilary continued her walk home.

As Hilary got further from Tyson's house, she thought to herself, "What happened there? It's not like Tyson to be so nice...I guess I shouldn't think too much about it, though." Just then, she heard a strange voice in her head. "At last, I have found you..." Hilary looked around to see where the voice was coming from but saw no one. "I guess I'm hearing things." She continued walking but then heard the voice again. "I thought I would never find you. Come over here." Hilary looked around again and then saw a strange golden light glowing in the alleyway next to where she was standing. She walked towards it to spot what looked like a small chip. When she picked it up, she saw it had a golden bird on it. "What a strange bird...it's beautiful, though...but why is it on this chip? I guess I won't worry about now." Hilary put the chip in her pocket and continued walking home, not noticing the chip starting to glow once again inside her pocket.

Meanwhile, back at the Saint Shield's hideout, Mariam and Dunga had just returned with Joseph after being told that Ozuma wanted them to return. Mariam sat down and started eating one of the sandwiches that she had brought back for them. She swallowed the bite she had just taken and said, "So, what's up, Ozuma? Why did you call us back all of a sudden?" Ozuma looked at all three of his comrades with a serious expression. "Joseph said that those scientists caught a signal of another Bit Beast that was still loose." Dunga stood up in shock. "No way! The only Bit Beasts still loose in this city are ours and the Bladebreakers'!" Mariam nodded in agreement. "I hate to admit it, but Dunga's right. If there really is another active Bit Beast in this city, how come we never found out about it?" Ozuma rose to his feet. "I don't know, Mariam, but we should go out and find it. There's no telling what kind of trouble it could cause. So I suggest the four of us split up and search everywhere until we find it." Dunga, Mariam, and Joseph all nodded in agreement. As soon as Ozuma told each of them where to go, they all went their separate ways to search for the stray Bit Beast.

At the local airport a good distance away, a young girl, about the same age as the Bladebreakers, had just stepped off the plane. She had long pink hair tied up into a ponytail with a pink bandanna, which made it appear that she had the ears of a cat. As soon as she was outside the airport, she giggled excitedly. "It'll be so nice to see Ray again. It's really been a long time. It's too bad Lee and the others couldn't come, too." The girl then signalled for a taxi to take her to where she needed to go.

Ozuma and the rest of the Saint Shields had spent a good portion of the day in their search for the stray Bit Beast with no luck. Since it was getting dark, all of them decided to head back to their hideout to report. Ozuma frowned, definitely unhappy that nothing turned up. "I guess we'll have to continue our search tomorrow." He then glanced over at Joseph. "Joseph, why don't you sneak into that lab again and see if you can find out anything else about this Bit Beast?" Joseph nodded. "You got it, Ozuma." Ozuma then looked at all of them. "Great. We'll continue our search first thing in the morning. For now, we should get some rest. We'll have a lot of work to do tomorrow."

Hilary had made it back home safely and, seeing as it was getting a bit late and that she had school in the morning, she decided she should go ahead and get to bed. As she was changing, she saw a strange golden light coming from her skirt, which was resting on her desk chair. She reached into the pocket and pulled out the chip she had found earlier and put it on her desk and then got into bed and turned off her lamp. She went to sleep ten minutes later.

The visions started to come again: the visions of the golden bird she had seen in Hilary's dream just the other night. The bird flew right over Hilary and landed nearby another girl who looked to be about her age. The other girl walked up to the large bird and gently stroked its beak. The girl the looked right at Hilary. Hilary gasped in the shock of realizing that this girl looked exactly like her, except that her eyes were a deep blue instead of brown. "Who...who are you...?" Hilary asked nervously. The girl turned to face Hilary completely before responding. "My name is Tara...I am...your..." Before Tara could finish, the dream ended and Hilary quickly sat up in her bed, drenched in a cold sweat. "Tara...who is she? And what was that bird with her?" She then looked over to see the chip she had found glowing with bright golden light. She picked it up and, for the first time, took a really long look at it. "This bird...it's the one I saw in my dreams...but what could it mean?"
