Chapter 2: Silent Footprints
“This is definitely not Thyrza…” She murmured, wondering where on earth she could be.
--
Sakura felt heavy in her kimono as she glanced around this new territory. She saw butterflies flying about and bunnies hopping to and fro. The wind blew gently across the field as the grass all bowed to a common direction.
Definitely not Thyrza, she thought as she took a few steps forward. She clutched the key on her neck and closed her eyes. “Staff- RELEASE!” She called. A light pink light glowed around her before it ominously disbursed.
Wha- what? Why isn't my magic working? Sakura said, panic starting to rise in the pit of her stomach. She looked around desperately, wanting to find somebody- but she realized something…
There isn't anybody here…
She stumbled forward, her heart racing with each step she took. The scent of wild flowers hit her nose as she closed her eyes, imagining her homeland of Thyrza. She coughed loudly, vividly remembering what happened before she arrived here.
Why was she here though? She felt like falling down and crying her heart out. But she didn't. She had to figure out where she was.
She kept on walking forward, ground crunching underneath her. She, because of her caveman instincts, turned around and gasped as she saw a dual set of footprints with hers. I didn't hear anybody following me… she thought as she saw, horrified, that they weren't just human footprints following her…
They were wolf tracks as well…

He stood up in his chambers, yawning loudly. His cape was strewn on the floor and his shirt was off. He wore rider's pants as he stretched rather loudly, his body glistening. The windows in his room were open and he blinked his eyes, trying to get the sleep to go away. A meek knocking was heard on his door and he rubbed his mouth.
“Yeah?”
“Sire?” came a soft voice.
“Come in Lilly,” He said rolling his eyes. This servant of his- always scared of him. She opened the door and squeaked as she saw him shirtless. She blushed and turned her head and he smirked.
“Yes?” He said, as he stared at her fumbling with her words. She opened and closed her mouth like a fish and he scowled.
“Lilly, I'm a busy man, I have a Realm to run!”
“Ano!” Lilly blushed feverishly. “Word has come from your father that he wants you visiting him soon and…”
“And?”
“Lang has captured her.”
He raised a brow. “Already?”
“Ryu-sama claims she would've been harder if her magic wasn't rejected here- sire I did not know what that meant…”
“I do,” he assured her as he ran his fingers through his unruly chestnut coloured hair. He breathed a few times, trying to keep his adrenaline to the bare minimum.
“Where is Lang and where is she?” He asked.
“Uh…” Lilly closed her eyes. “You see- Ryu-sama put Lang in the training course so the Lang is training with the other wolves. Ryu-sama says the girl is outside…”
“Outside where?” He said.
“The north Gazebo.” Lilly answered.
“Alright, thank you.” He said as he pushed Lilly out. He smirked as he shut his door and pulled his shirt on.
Here I come. He thought as he started to freshen up.

“WHERE IS SAKURA?” Fujitaka roared as he saw the carriage return- empty. Takashi gulped as Tomoyo was in tears, hanging off of Takashi who rubbed her back.
“Where is she?” Fujitaka said, as he calmed down.
“A- a thing sucked her in.” Tomoyo sobbed as Takashi hugged her tightly.
“A thing?” Fujitaka raised a brow as he turned to Jin. “What thing?”
Jin gulped as he held the papers out in front of him. “Tomoyo- Takashi… was it like she was disappearing off the face of the earth.”
“Yes!” Takashi said, his eyes widening.
“I'm afraid that…” Jin paused and everybody looked at him.
“I'm afraid that Li Syaoran has got her now- she's in the Ookami Realm…”
--
Syaoran dressed himself in a baggy white t-shirt with a low v-cut that had strings strung around the V. He wore his cape and shook his head, getting rid of extra beads of water. Syaoran popped the collar to his cape and smoothly walked out of his room. He, like a predator, walked down to the main floor of his castle, and noted that his cousin, Ryu Ling, was sitting
“Ryu,” he nodded.
“Syaoran,” Ryu nodded back. Syaoran sat down beside his cousin and poured himself a glass of wine. Ryu sighed as he leaned back.
“Got the Princess?” Syaoran asked as he took a sip of the blood red wine that shone in his cup.
“Yeah- not much of a fight though.” Ryu frowned. “Too bad her magic doesn't work here… but I made sure Lang didn't hurt her.”
“Good, where is she?”
“The North Gazebo,” Ryu said as he stood up. “But…”
“But what?” Syaoran said raising a brow.
“I think- well… I have a feeling she got away.”
“WHAT?”
--
Earlier, while Sakura was walking, she felt that somebody was following her. Her hunch was correct as she felt herself being tackled down by a large and furry beast.
“AHHHH!” She shrieked, trying to wrestle him off of her, but her kimono stopped any and all possible fighting attacks. She moved her head as she held the mouth of the beast- and by Gods grace, she felt the weight being pulled off of her. She was panting as she stood up, feeling blood trickle down her arm. She saw a rather tall silver haired man in a wizards robe, with gold trimmings. He had piercing black eyes and he held the wolf- the giant beast that attacked her- by the neck.
“Afternoon, Princess.” He bowed. Sakura gulped as she took a few steps back, not bowing back. Ryu chuckled.
“Lang was just being- rough. He follows orders just too well, you see?”
Sakura kept on moving backwards.
Ryu sighed. “I apologize deeply for what I'm about to do,” he said. Sakura's eyes widened as he appeared behind her. She looked at where the wolf stood and he wasn't there any longer. She felt an arm around her neck, loosely around her neck.
“Whatever you do, I'll get away!”
“Sweet dreams,” he murmured as he blew some powder into her face. Sakura tried to fight some more but almost instantly, fell asleep.
As soon as she awoke, she felt herself being tied up against something. Her eyes instantly shot open as she looked around. She saw that in front of her was a giant castle, a white castle that had beds of flowers at the base. She looked around and saw she was in a sort of white open hut? A gazebo perhaps. She glanced down and saw her kimono was torn yet not entirely torn off of her body.
Need to get away- need to get away! She thought as she glanced at what was tying her up. Rope. Regular brown rope.
She saw she was tied up to the edge of the gazebo, as she was situated on the bench. She looked around and tried to figure some way to get out… just… one way…
--
“What kind of hunch is that? Ryu!” Syaoran growled as him and his cousin started to quickly walk towards the north exit of the castle.
“I don't know… she told me that whatever I did, she'd escape and she seemed serious. It's just a feeling.”
“I hate it when you get feelings, you know that cousin?” Syaoran snarled. Ryu chuckled. “Yeah, I do,” he murmured.
“Because when you do, your feelings always tend to be right! Dammit!” Syaoran growled. Ryu shook his head. “Anyways, you want her why?”
“Bride business.”
“Are you sure she's supposed to be your bride?”
“Lasen board never lies,” Syaoran shot his cousin a look, “you know that.”
“Well- true.” Ryu sighed as they exited the castle…
--
Sakura's head shot sideways as she saw a door open. She closed her eyes and started to think.
Think… think! Onii-chan didn't train you against fathers will for no reason… think back to what he taught me! Touya! Think Sakura! Think! Sakura started sweating. She looked back and saw the door open half way and nobody came out. She thank god for the extra seconds she got.
Think. Sakura you've done this before. Touya trapped you in the field next to the castle once--- how did I escape?
Her Clow Cards worked then… but they don't seem to work now. Sakura had tears in her eyes as she put her forefinger and middle finger together.
By God's grace PLEASE let ANY card appear in my fingers. She thought and she was surprised that a card formed between her fingers.
I think I can… summon my cards but no release them. She thought dryly. She rubbed the edge of the card against the rope, hoping that her cards were something against the rope. She felt the rope warm up and then incinerate. Her eyes widened as she brought the card to her line of vision.
Fiery… she thought. She made the card return to the deck and made a break for it.
However that happened, it did and I'm not complaining. She thought as she tore through the bushes, trying to get away- as far as possible.
--
“Wait,” Ryu said as Syaoran was about to open the door. Ryu scratched the back of his neck before staring at his cousin.
“Why doesn't her magic work?”
Syaoran twitched. “You of all people should know that!”
“I don't! Fine- tell me later,” Ryu rolled his eyes as Syaoran coughed. “Basically I can ban Clow magic in this realm.” Syaoran snapped his fingers and a golden ball appeared in his left hand.
“This,” he said, “is the key.”
“A gold ball…Syaoran honestly.” Ryu frowned.
“Shut the hell up,” Syaoran hissed. The Golden ball changed to a bleak black colour.
“And now, Clow Magic is allowed in this realm.”
“Change it back Syaoran,” Ryu said, “she might escape.”
Syaoran glared at him before restoring the ball to its natural golden colour before making it disappear again.
“So the fate of the girl lies within that ball?” Ryu raised a brow.
“No, in my hands.” Syaoran said as they left the castle.
--
Sakura managed to make it to the edge of the bushes and panted as scars and cuts marred her face. How do I get out… she thought as she felt tears stain her face. She took three steps before falling down with a thud, sobs shaking through her body.
Please… somebody save me…
--
“RYU!” Syaoran roared as he saw the ashes of the rope on the floor.
“Oh bullshit.” Ryu's eyes widened as he glanced at his cousin. “Who would've thought she used her magic in the twenty seconds u allowed it?”
“Shit…” Syaoran's eyes flared. “Get the wolves to surround my realm. Wherever she is, I want her back!”
“Sure thing,” Ryu turned to leave but stopped, “oh one more thing, your dad wants to have dinner with you in two weeks, tops.”
“I KNOW!” Syaoran twitched. What is with everybody reminding me!
“And he wants you to see with a bride.”
Syaoran stopped breathing. “Bride… two weeks?”
Ryu nodded.
“WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET THE REALM SURROUNDED!”
Ryu jumped before turning around. Syaoran bent down and picked up the ashes.
Wherever you are, Princess, he thought, I'll find you…
