Dropping to his knees on the roof top Spike felt more alone then he ever had in his entire life. His arms trembled under the weight of himself as he stared at the shingles, mesmerized, not believing anything at all. A car alarm honked in the distance snapping him back into the painful reality that was his life. Seeing the door from the roof top and no occupants but himself he scrambled to his feet and bolted through the door, holding his gun so tightly in his hand his knuckles were pale white. He stumbled down the stairwell, his anger pushing forward through his curtain of fear and confusion. It finally dawned on him how fragile a mortal's life really was. Although he had strived for so long to get Julia back to him, when he finally revived her he was unable to protect the woman he loved and despite all his pain and suffering her fragile life had shattered along with his hopes of dreams of a future. Showing how uncontrollable fate really was. Once more proving that no matter how great a man thought he was he could not control life and death. Bounding down the stairs he burst through the door on the ground level of what was now a small exclusive bank. The people in the bank were as shocked to see him as he was to see them and shrunk back in horror at the sight of his gun and the crazed look in his eye. Some were frightened and dodge while others stood motionless with confusion. Looking around furiously he saw not one familiar face and quickly ducked out of the entrance of the bank, disappearing into the crowded city street. The people walked by him completely oblivious of his seemingly desperate appearance. Few saw the weapon in his hands while one man mumbled something that sounded oddly like."Damned cowboys." His eyes scanned through the crowd hoping to see something familiar and was disappointed to find a world he did not recognize. Yet everything was different from the clothes people wore to the cars they drove. Even the appearance of buildings had seemingly taken on a whole different perspective. He felt like an island surrounded by unknown waters. He felt lost, a feeling in which he hated and had spent most of his life in. Everything seemed wrong, he gritted his teeth in frustration until his eyes caught a familiar white haired man racing through the crowds as if being chased. Spikes eyes locked on the figure and before a thought could pass through his mind he was on hot pursuit of his target. Realizing the large crowd around him he hesitated to point his gun and yell so instead he let his prey lead him into a dark alley. His fury controlling him he quickly closed in on the man. "Vicious." He whispered in undesguised rage, as if hissing rather than speaking. The man froze, facing the tall brick wall at the end of the alley-way, and before he could turn around Spike grabbed the back of his collar and pointed his gun at his right temple pressing the cold steel tightly to the mans skull. Before he could go through with pulling the trigger a crash distracted him at his side as a foot went flying past his face, kicking the victim out of his grasp an into a nearby brick wall. Where the white haired man once stood now landed a young woman who had flewn through the window on the opposite wall. She had short straight dark green hair that brushed the top of her shoulders, so dark that it nearly looked brown. She was tall and firmly built yet curvy like a woman should be. She wore a neon orange tank top and you could see her black bra straps. She had tight black pants that went down only to be tucked into black combat boots. Her slightly tan skin gave contrast to her green hair. She had black gloves with silver strips of metal running from the wrists to the knuckles. At that moment her face although quite beautiful gave off a rather dangerous and angry look. She rushed towards the white haired man seemingly ignoring Spike. The man scrambled up, leaning against the wall behind him, looking for an escape route. The woman advanced on him, arms raised in a fighting stance. "Do you think I'd let you get away my precious bounty head?" She said triumphantly as she pinned him to the wall with her arms. Spike, still staring blankly at the direction where she had landed turned quickly towards them shouting. "NO! Vicious is mine!" She turned around with an arched brow looking at him quizzically. "Vicious? Who the hell are you talking about?" Spike looked at her angrily, ignoring her question he shouted again. "Let go of him! He's mine!" Letting go of her prey she turned towards him rather violently, clenching her fists in anger. "Yours?! We've been chasing this bounty for three months, there's no way I'm giving him up without a fight." Spike looked at the bounty as he slowly began to slip away and taking a closer look realizing it was not the man he had intended it to be. Then realizing his mistake he mentally scolded himself. `Why would Vicious be here?! God damnit!" Spike continued to stare at her blankly, softly nibbling on his bottom lip, wondering whether or not he should tell her that her `precious bounty head' was about to get away. "Um...." he murmured, only to be interrupted by another young woman swinging around the corner of the alley-way she punched the bounty in the face and sent him sprawling to the ground. Then looked at the other woman irritated. "You had to go through the window didn't you? You always have to make an entrance." This woman resembled the other amazingly but with certain differences. Her hair was much longer, it trailed half-way down her back and was golden blonde and quite wavy. Her build was about the same as the other womans although she seemed less aggressive. She had deep blue eyes that cut through you like a knife. She wore skin tight blue jeans that were more than a little torn up with a white wife beater. Her black leather jacket had red and white racing stripes. The sleeves were rolled up to reveal a black galic designed tattoo that wraped around her fore arm. "Oh shut up would you!" The green haired woman shouted. The other woman continued, ignoring her friends comment. "And not only that! You almost let the bounty get away!" The bounty reached his feet as the girls continued fighting, hoping he could make an escape. "Hey Ravyn?" The green haired woman asked. "Did I say he could leave?" She said pointing to the escaping bounty, yet still looking in the direction of Ravyn. Ravyn continued to stare back at her friend and pulled a gun out of its holster on her hip, shooting at the man without looking and hitting him in the upper thigh with perfect accuracy, sending him flopping to the ground. "Better?" Ravyn grinned cockily. "Much." Her friend said, turning back to Spike. "I'm tired of you amateur cowboys trying to steal my bounties. Who the hell do you think you are?!" She yelled maliciously. In retaliation Spike glared back. "Amateur? Alright little school girl why don't you take your small fry bounty and hop back to your club house!" Ravyn looked at him pitifully. "Ouch your in for it now." Before Spike could turn around the other woman attacked, swinging and kicking with such grace and experience Spike was immediately caught off guard. He hadn't expected such a young woman to know what she was actually doing. He fought back furiously and found that he was not only fighting equally with her but he was also fighting as hard as he could. Ravyn leaned against the wall to watch the spectacle, nodding her head in amusement and smiling. The two fighters fought with such grace that it seemed almost as if they were dancing. They were so quick and ruthless Ravyn had to dodge a few stray attacks herself. Realizing that this stranger may actually be to much for her sister she pulled out her gun and carefully pointed it at the moving objects. Figuring she could break up the fight with a warning shot she pulled the trigger, sending a bullet crashing into the wall next to their heads, blowing pieces of concrete everywhere. Both fighters turned in surprise, but still continued throwing punches at one another. "Watch out! Your gonna hit me!" The green haired woman shouted, momentarily taking her mind from her enemy, which she immediately regretted as she got caught with a fist in the stomach. "Oh you know I wouldn't have missed!" Ravyn shouted back, completely unhindered by the fact that her sister Moonbay just got nailed in the stomach by this strange man. "Well don't miss on purpose! If your going to hit him, hit him!" She shouted back, this time, not making the mistake of taking her mind off her opponent. "I would shoot him, but he's kind of cute." Spike looked over completely surprised and in return learned the lesson Moonbay had the hard way and went flying into the side of a dumpster. Moonbay shouted at Ravyn, waiting for her aggressor to get up and attack. "Would you please concentrate!" "I'm concentrating! I'm just sitting here bored out of my mind waiting for you to stop playing around with this jerk so we can cash this bounty and get some food to bring back to the Bebop." Ravyn shouted in retaliation. Moonbay stood still a moment, watching curiously as her opponent got up and looked at them in shock. Spike brushed himself off, and breathing heavily asked. "The Bebop?" Moonbay nodded at him with arched brows. "Yeah. The Bebop." She said sarcastically. "We live there." Spike looked at her in utter wonder. "Jet lives on the Bebop, so do I. I'd know if you lived there." Spike said. Ravyn looked at him like he was an escaped lunatic. "Yeah Uncle Jet lives there, but you don't." Moonbay looked at him even more curious. "Do you know Jet?" Spike nodded surely. "Whats your name?" Ravyn asked curiously. "Spike." They all looked at one another in confusion. Ravyn looked at her sister, realizing between themselves that the name sounded somewhat familiar. "We could take him to see Jet. Maybe he can straighten this out." She shrugged, thinking of a way to solve the problem and get food. Her stomach was beginning to grumble and she hated to be hungry, especially when she had access to money. Moonbay looked at him distrustingly. "Alright, but he's riding with you." Ravyn laughed, shaking her head. "Uh uh, I'm taking the bounty to get cashed." She grinned at her sister. "He'll have to ride with you." Moonbay growled low in her throat. "Fine." She muttered unhappily. They both looked at Spike questioningly as if to ask if he agreed. With all that just happened to him, his feelings were on a rampage, he figured it might as well be a good idea to go somewhere familiar, and seeing Jet would help him get where he wanted to go, and do what he wanted to do. Spike nodded in agreement and they set out to find their mono-carriers. Ravyn and Moonbay dragged the bounty through the crowd, trailing blood behind them, but didn't seem to mind the groaning of the man behind them or the blank look of the stranger coming with them.
