Chapter 8 - They're Alive?!

Yami was walking through the city, alone. He's been thinking about the dream he had few nights ago. Ever since then, he has been avioding the others. How could he tell them? They 're his friends, his only family.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

Yami turned around and saw a cloaked person, similar to the one he met back at Egypt, before he changed.

"You seem troubled, unsure on what to do, is that correct?"

"Who are you?" - Yami

After a short walk toward the peir, the cloaked person took off his hood. His face was similar to Otogi, but he seemed a little older.

"Otogi?" - Yami

"Yes, Yami. Thought I was dead?" - Yami

"Wow..." - Yami

Back Dr. Kozumi's place, Mana was sitting on the roof, playing her orcarina. She was playing a soft song that could calm a frightening storm. (Note: She's playing Song of Time.) She felt someone tap her shoulder, so she slowly turned around and saw Mokuba.

"Hi, Mokuba." - Mana

"Ahoya! What's dat, Mana?" - Mokuba

"This? Oh, this is a orcarina. It sounds like a whistle but..." - Mana

"Something bothering you?"

Mana and Mokuba turned around and saw Jet standing behind them.

"No! It's nothing! Really!" - Mana

Mana then looked up to the clear sky.

'Oh ouji. How much more suffering must you take. It's just too much. Please don't go back.' - Mana

"You mean that the others are still alive?" - Yami

"Yes. But tell me this." - Otogi

Yami looked at Otogi with a little impatience.

"Why did you leave us, Yami?" - Otogi

Yami became a little speechless and also suprised. No one else but Yugi, Anzu, Honda, Jyonochi, and Kaiba knew he left for Egypt. He then smirked.

"Alright, imposter! What have you done to the real Otogi?!" - Yami

"Wha-what do you mean, Yami?" - Otogi

"The real Otogi calls me Yugi, not Yami. And also, when did you know where to find me?" - Yami

'Otogi' had his eyes in shadow then they glowed red. A huge wind came by, so Yami closed his eyes. When he opened them, he saw him.

At Docter Kazumi's place, Francoise stood up in shock.

"Oh no!" - Francoise

"What is it, Francoise?" - Shizuka

"A large robot is attacking the city park!" - Francoise

"Let's go, guys!" - Jet

"No, it can't be." - Yami

Infront of Yami was the Mimic of Doom. He met him back in Duelist Kingdom. The last time he saw him, Mimic of Doom was inpersenating Kaiba.

"It is, Yami! I have returned!" - Mimic of Doom

"But where's Otogi?! You haven't told me that!" - Yami

"Let us just say, he tried his best to save your friends, but you know how worthless sacrifices are." - Mimic of Doom

Yami clenched his fist.

"You...you...MONSTER!" - Yami

Yami ran toward him, very close to punching his ugly face off, but he was then pushed back from some unknown force.

"AAAHHH!!" - Yami

Yami then hit a nearby boat, making a huge dent in its side. He tried his best to get up, but his whole body was somehow tired. When he looked up, he saw a cyborg next to the Mimic of Doom. When he got on one knee, part of his clothing was ripped and his forehead was bleeding.

'How could I be this hurt this badly?' - Yami

'No...' - 0022

The cyborgs reached the park and saw the huge knew cyborg. It was similar to 0013's robot but it was blue and it was stronger. Mana felt a small physic shock and saw a short vision. She began running toward the exit of the park.

"0022! Where are you going?" - 004

"Ouji is in trouble! I gotta help him!" - 0022

Mana began running toward the peir.

"Ouji! Don't give up! Just wait! I'll be there!" - 0022

"YAAAAAAHHH!" - Yami

Yami was being elctricuted by one of Mimic of Doom's monsters. After being shocked, Yami was laying on the floor, barely breathing. His paralyzed body was then kicked by the other cyborg. He was able to a glympse of his face. The cyborg's eyes were showing no emotions, what so ever, and his face shown a menacing grin.

'Panik?"

"Yes it's me. Are you afraid?" - Panik

Yami tried his best to get was kicked in the stomach.

"You should if you join back with Black Ghost." - Panik

"He's right, Yami. All of us are the same. Our hearts are dark, yet your's not evil." - Mimic of Doom

After recovering from the attack, Yami stood up. He held his stomach and one of his eyes were closed. He was severly hurt and could barely even stay up long.

"I will never join back with him! Never!" - Yami

In an unknown location, Black Ghost was watching the whole fight.

"Mou Hitori No Boku! Can you hear me!"

"Mou Hitori No Yugi! Get up!"

Behind him was a cage, holding Yugi, Anzu, and Honda as its prisoners.

"Let us out, you ketsunoana!" - Honda

"And have his joys relieved? NO! The only way to be free is if your friend joins back with me, or you'll never see the light of freedom again!" - Black Ghost

"Then face your DESTRUCTION!" - Panik

Panik was about to summon (I do not know what is Panik's most powerful monster so just think of one evil looking monster) but was interupted by Mimic of Doom.

"Let me finish him off, fellow. He also sent me to the Shadow Realm as well." - Mimic of Doom

Mimic of Doom slowly walked to Yami. He was about to blast him.

"Any last words, pharaoh?" - Mimic of Doom

Yami knew this was the end. If he didn't come up with something soon, he will lose and won't be able to see Aibou and everyone else again.

"Ouji!"

Yami turned around and saw Mana running toward him.

"Mana! Get out of here! You'll get hurt!" - Yami

'Hmph! A friend of his?...Wait a second!' - Panik

Panik suddenly warped behind Mana and grabbed her.

"MANA!" - Yami

"Ou...ji..." - Mana

"Black Ghost enhanced his strenght, so maybe she will live, if you want her to..." - Mimic of Doom

"What do you mean by that, fatty?" - Yami

"I'll take that as a compliment. If you want her to live, you will join back with him. If not, well...you'll just have to see another one of your friends dissappear." - Mimic of Doom

Yami looked at Mana. Her eyes were showed no pupils and she could hardly breath.

"That was way too easy." - 0016

After a few shots and plans, the cyborgs defeated the large robot with ease.

"You're right! I expected more from Black Ghost." - 0017

"Hey! Where's 0022?" - 003

"She said that Yami was in trouble, then ran off." - 004

"I bet that huge robot was a distraction!" - 0014

"She's at the pier! And 0015 is injured badly!" - 0018

"Let's hurry!" - 0021

"Mana...I...I can't risk losing you too..." - Yami

Just then, a hologram of Black Ghost appeared.

"So...will you?" - Black Ghost

Yami's eyes were shadowed, trying hard to cover the tears he had. He has never betrayed anyone in his life, but now he will soon start his walk down the path of.....
