The Promise
Disclaimer: I don’t own DAA! DAA! DAA! Or any of it’s characters.
Summary: Miyu and Kanata’s relationship started online, after a painful break-up and a forgotten promise, what will happen
if Miyu will transfer to Kanata’s school.
Author’s Note: Okay, so there were some errors in the previous chapter. And it kinda really did bother me, I considered changing it, but never mind.
Anyway, read on, it’s been more than a year since I last wrote a story, so I’m not that good.
Chapter 2
Several weeks has passed since Kanata and Miyu’s relationship started.
Miyu was lying on her bed alone with her thoughts. She was staring at her empty white ceiling. “Grr…where is he?”
She asked herself. She has been waiting for several hours now for Kanata.
She has been wondering why these past few days she has to wait for Kanata
to show up usually it‘s him who‘s waiting for her, and when he finally goes online he leaves right away.
He’s been pretty distant, not as sweet as before. And this has bothered Miyu.
Finally she heard the steady beep of her computer, she got up hastily anxious to talk to her boyfriend.
<Kanata> Hey, Miyu.
<Miyu> Hey, where have you been I’ve been waiting for you for ages.
<Kanata> Umm…yeah I’m sorry.
<Miyu> That’s okay, so what’s up?
---long wait about 6 minutes--
<Kanata> Nothing much, same old stuff.
<Miyu> Okay.
<Kanata> Listen I gotta go, see you later.
<Miyu> Bye…
“He did it again! Is there something wrong with him? Has he found a new girl? That was only like what?
10 minutes of conversation and he went offline right away!
He’s been really distant…” Miyu told herself, she sighed. She felt really rejected and frustrated.
She sat down and hugged her knees. She was used to Kanata’s sweetness and undivided attention…
”it wasn’t like this a few days back…” she murmured.
At school...
Miyu was walking quietly with Christine. She was still deep in thought. Christine having noticed the change in her friend knew
somehow this has something to do with
Kanata.
"Okay, spill it" Christine said bluntly.
"Spill what?" Miyu asked, faking a suprise.
"Duh, don't act dense okay? You know what I'm talking about." Christine replied.
"Oh, it's nothing really...it's just Kanata's been really...I don't know. It's just me
I guess...he's prolly just busy." Miyu explained.
Christine sighed and hugged her friend.
"You know what? I'll be here for you" Christine said, in an attempt of cheering up her bestfriend.
"Yeah, I know you will be" Miyu smiled, Christine and her had been bestfriends since birth.
That night....
Miyu found some offline messages...
<Kanata> Miyu...the past few weeks with you has been magical. But I can't continue
this anymore...it's...it's hard to explain but. *sighs*
Just I...I guess my feelings for you faded away. I'm sorry. I know I'm such a jerk.
But this relationship has got to end. Bye.
Miyu couldn't believe what she was reading. She fell to the ground and
started to shake violently. "No, no...no" she said again and again.
She didn't want to believe it. Her tears started pouring. She snatched the
locket that she's been wearing. She stared at it, and opened it
there she found the smiling faces of her and Kanata. Her heart felt really heavy.
She finally cried herself to sleep at the corner of her room.
Morning...
Miyu woke up she looked around not quiet sure why she was there, and not
on her bed. Then she felt a lump in her fist and memories
flooded back to her. She started to cry again. She got up
and went to the bathroom she started to clean up when she found a razor
she was in conflict with herself. She wanted to just use the razor
to cut herself and die, but there's this little side of her that's saying
don't do it. Finally she got the razor she started to cut herself, blood started to pour out.
"STOP THAT!" Christine yelled. Getting the razor away from her bestfriend right away.
She hugged Miyu and assisted her out of the bathroom and into the comfortable couch. She then tied a clean cloth around
her cut.
"Now, tell me, what's wrong?" Christine asked, trying to be calm.
Miyu just pointed to the computer. Christine sighed and started to go the the computer. She read the offline and message.
And she fumed with anger. "He wasn't even man enough to tell her when she's online!" Christine told herself.
"You can do this, Miyu..." Christine started, not knowing what to do to her bestfriend. She knew that Miyu's feeling
for Kanata was "real". And it also hurts Christine to see Miyu like this.
Suddenly Miyu got up.
"I'm gonna forget about him..." She said determination written all over her face.
"And the promise...." she added to herself...
