--- Recap ---

[Imagine "Ultra Relax" from Kodomo no Omocha playing in the background. Chibi characters of
the six appear in the foreground as scenes from the last episode playin the background.
Though, you can't see 'cause this is text. Haha!]

Amiko: Hello, GGG reader!

SSJ: Who most likely arrived by accident...

TM: Welcome back to our wonderful self-insertion fiction.

DDT: That's apparantly different from others.

Cindy: 'Cause we're not GODS... ...oh wait... ...SSJ is.

Amiko: Anyway, last time, we were met with a horrible tragedy- we ran out of money.

TM: The government was on our asses quickly, but it was settled soon enough.

Cindy: (starry-eyed) Mokona-chan went to the mafia and got us money.

DDT: (glares at Cindy) Devimon was there, too, y'know...

Cindy: (glares back) Since when?!

SSJ: Since I wrote the chapter.

Cindy: (mutters) Bastard.

SSJ: Exactly.

DDT: This is dragging on, so basically, we saved ourselves from the mafia and now...

SSJ: WELCOME BACK THE PLOT!

Amiko: You said you'd delay it for 20/30 episodes...

SSJ: Got too bored with fillers.

All: Yay.

---- Chapter 18: A Prelude----

At the corner of the main continent of Terra, there lay a large city by the name of Osseke.
It lay upon the very tip of the Seaswift Peninsula, were waves met it from almost every
side. Boats and ships from every part of the globe came and traded at its vast harbors,
making the city very wealthy indeed. This was the scene for today’s chapter.

From the slowly thinning strip of land that connected Osseke to the continent, there came
five bodies, each quite tired and fatigued from their long trek. Upon passing through the
wide open gates of the city, they instinctively searched for an inn. SSJ was quick this
time, quickly taking a bed before anyone could react.

They had arrived as night came to Osseke, and soon after they established themselves in
their spots (DDT took to the floor), they were knocked out for the night. So, the night
passed with little event from the five.

***

As the Outlaws slept, steam rose from various vents in the alleyways of Osseke, giving them
a quite sinister appearance in the dark. A figure sneaked through the steam and alleys in
search of the way home. The alleys were only lit by few white lights, and when the figure
passed under one, the features of a young woman could have been seen.

Nothing was heard all around but the distant hum of cars. Nothing was smelt all around but
the noxious odor of decaying trash. The air was stale and stagnant, made worse by the
currents bringing the bitterly cold air towards her and pushing the warm steam away.

The woman was silently muttering to herself. As she passed through, her voice could have
only been heard by the most sensitive ears. She sighed, holding her thick coat close to her
body. "Why does Yasushi-kun always make me work late...?"

She stepped through the alleys, a shortcut to her apartment. She failed to hear a certain
sound in the area. She failed to hear the low sound of waving fabric. For up above her,
upon a rooftop, there was a single person, dressed in thick black rags and a large black
coned hat like those worn by rice-field workers. (Or more recognizably, worn by Raiden in
Mortal Kombat I.)

The girl was perceptive, however, and felt a strange presence. She turned her head this way
and that, listening for anyone. Her breath became uneven. She could only shakily demand,
"W... Who’s t-there?!"

When no one replied, she only continued walking faster. "Nothing," she said to herself. She
wanted to reassure herself. She wanted to feel safe. But, she couldn’t shove the persisting
presence out. The black figure upon the rooftops stepped in her direction.

"This is why I hate walking alone," she muttered to herself. "Everything is so uncomfort-"
She stopped speaking. She looked around, searching for the source of her anxiety. Her
shadow stretched across the walls and floor from the lights far above. She stopped and
looked around. She turned to see behind her. Nothing.

During her lapse, she failed to see the black figure walk down the wall just behind her. He
stepped down silently, careful to stay out of her line of sight. She didn’t hear him reach
the ground and step up to her. She her eyes fell to the cement ground. She turned around,
eyes fixed on the floor. "I must be crazy-"

All of a sudden, her breath gave way. She had lost her calm as her breathing became
frenetic. The loud clangs of dashing over a sewer cover echoed through the alley. The woman
began screaming. Suddenly, her screaming was cut short, and a dull thud moved through the
air. As the sound of passing cars continued on the distance, a sound of some liquid
spilling into the storm drains of the alley could be heard from all around.

***

The night passed with no incident to the five, who still lay like a sack of bricks upon
where they had slept. Slowly enough, the sun rose and poured its light into the room. SSJ’s
eyes eventually opened to the brightness, and he yawned. SSJ shoved himself up and sat up
on his bed, taking a look at his surroundings. There was TM sprawled on the bed across from
him, blankets thrown all about. DDT sat sleeping upon a chair beside a table, resting his
head upon the headrest. Amiko calmly slept on the bed beside TM, blanket neatly pulled up
to her neck. Cindy slept on the bed beside SSJ’s own, across from Amiko. There upon her
bedpost was Mokona, lazily snoozing off.

He went through his normal morning routine, heading for the bathroom at the first instant
of waking up. He emerged later clean as a whistle, hear neatly combed and clothes
unwrinkled. It is a wonder how he did all that in fifteen minutes, but that is not the
point.

SSJ looked through the group, seeing them all out like logs. It may take a while for them
to awaken. SSJ suddenly felt like going out. He walked over to beside his bed and took up
his sword. He placed it by his side and stepped towards the doorway.

"Going somewhere?" he heard someone weakly asked after a yawn. SSJ turned and saw TM out of
the corner of his eye, barely awake and sitting up upon his bed.

"Not really." SSJ stepped towards the door.

TM just advised, "Just remember not to get into trouble this time." SSJ didn’t look back as
TM pulled his blankets up to his neck and dozed off.

SSJ just had narrow eyes as he muttered, "Tch... Whatever." He opened the door and left the
inn.

***

The streets were empty that day, not crowded at all as it was still early. The stores
lining the streets of Osseke hardly were open yet, and the air was still bitingly cold. SSJ
was glad he had Momo’s father make his cloak, for it was quite warm. He made his way
through the streets, passing a newspaper vendor where a man dressed in black rags and a
black hat read the latest one. The guy noticed SSJ, but didn't bring attention to himself.

As SSJ passed, he failed to see the headlines of the newspapers, "Serial Killer Stalks
Women. Six Left Dead." SSJ just disappeared down the street and the man in the black hat
chuckled to himself as he read the headlines. "That’s pretty good," muttered the Black Hat.
"The only thing they left out was my calling card."

The Black Hat kept hidden a small slip of paper marked with a pentagram. He stepped away
from the newspaper vendor, newspaper pinched under his shoulder. He walked away down the
street towards where SSJ came from.

Back at SSJ, he stepped through the empty streets, looking this way and that. Upon
confirming no people around, he said, "Come out, Yuzu-chan."

In a flash of red light, out came Yuzuriha from her bishie ball on SSJ’s belt. She appeared
beside SSJ and walked in step with him. She smiled and asked, "What shall we do, SSJ-sama?!"

"A walk. I'm too bored." SSJ’s narrow-eyed face sure gave off that impression.

"Yay!" cheered Yuzuriha. She clung onto his left arm and proclaimed, "Let's go get some ice
cream or something!"

SSJ looked down upon her. He smiled and said, "Okay, then." So SSJ and Yuzuriha walked down
the street, Inuki looked back where SSJ had come from. He smelt a rather suspicious odor...

***

Elsewhere, there was a large room, brightly furnished with all the latest technologies: an
HDTV, satellite TV with all the perks, a Playstation 2, a Gamecube, an X-Box, quite a few
computers hooked up via wireless LAN, whatever. It was a nerd's paradise! There it was
connected to a single hallway, where there lay many doors to many bedrooms. Completing off
the scene were bishoujo lounging around, watching TV, sipping tea at a large dinner table,
or whatever.

In addition to all that, there was a kitchen opposite the hallway, and in there Kasumi
Tendou was busy cooking breakfast. Suzuka and Arashi sat at the dinner table, drinking
their green tea as the rest of the bishoujo watched the TV, where SSJ-vision showed
Yuzuriha walking beside him. They fumed.

Arashi sipped her cup of tea and muttered, "Just because Yuzuriha is younger than us and
acts cutely doesn't mean SSJ can just abandon us. He can't just ABANDON us in this waiting
room!"

Suzuka nodded. "I agree, swordswoman."

"Damn her," swore Catherine, pulling out knives and throwing them at a cardboard cut out of
Yuzuriha. There was Relena practicing her Judo upon a punching bag with a picture of
Yuzuriha taped upon it. There were others slipping poison into her bowl of cereal. Needless
to say, they weren't very happy sitting there in the bishoujo waiting room as Yuzuriha was
out there.

But finally, SSJ intervened in their affairs, his voice booming through the walls. "Hey! No
need to do this!" With that, the bowl of cereal disappeared from existence. The other
bishoujo just sighed and lounged around some more within the waiting room.

***

So the day passed with little event. The ships out of the city were all out, and it would
take a day or two before one of them returned. This allowed the group quality time to
pummel each other on a PS2 and Dreamcast they decided to buy on their journey. SSJ and
Amiko took to fighting with all their might against each other on Project Justice. Amiko
always won.

As they played their games, elsewhere in the city, night had fallen, for the most part. The
outskirts of town was not in great condition. The buildings were run down, decaying, and
overall not very safe. It perfectly blended the Black Hat with the surroundings.

A pungent liquid dripped from overhung pipes, and a warm, heavy air chaffed the back of his
neck. Trash littered everywhere, blown away by the air current produced by his movement. He
came up to one particularly large building, but then again, most of the buildings around
were large. He was about to slide up the door before a voice interrupted his actions, "And
what are you doing in this neck of the woods? And so late, too?"

The Black Hat turned to peer down the direction the voice came. A gang of thugs, five
strong, stood there dressed in baggy street clothes. They stood there, proud and tall, with
muscles, tattoos, and weapons galore. They were quite menacing.

The Black Hat smiled. "Nothing," he replied. "I'm doing nothing of your interest."

"Well," said one of them who stood out, seeing as he was the tallest. "If that's all, hand
over all your money."

"Heh. I don't carry money."

"Tch!" the thug spat, now drawing his weapon in a dangerous fashion. "How stupid do you
think I am, shitface?!"

The Black Hat suddenly began to laugh. The five criminals were caught off guard from the
hysterical fit. "You really want me to answer that?" asked the Black Hat.

"Why, I'll wipe that grin off your fucking face!" screamed the tall one, dashing at the
Black Hat with his knife raised into the air.

Darkness fell upon the area as the moon became hidden in thick clouds. Suddenly, an
oppressive feeling came over the alley. The attacker suddenly stopped, frozen in place. As
he stood there, the others yelled, "What the Hell is wrong?!"

The thug just coughed out, "I... Can't move! I can't move my body!"

The others tried to run to him. But they, too, were frozen in place. The ground suddenly
cracked, surprising the gang when a lance swung out of the ground. The Black Hat caught it
within his right hand, covered with a green glove. The gang saw the black leather bandages
no longer hidden in the long sleeves.

The five suddenly were filled with fear. They couldn't move, and this guy suddenly had a
lance just tear out of the ground. What the Hell was he?! He answered the question for
them, "I thrive in the dark. Under the veil of darkness, I am at my peak. Perhaps you
should have challenged me during the day, you pathetic fools."

Screams filled the air, cut short by the lance. Blood covered the walls and dripped from
the pipes hanging overhead. The Black Hat pulled out a slip of paper, pentagram printed
upon it. "Weak," he said in a deep and serious voice. "You all were weak."

The Black Hat threw the paper upon the floor and pulled open the door. He stepped in with
his lance and shut the door behind him.

***

SSJ returned to the room that night to find Amiko sitting alone in the room, watching the
evening news. "Yo," he greeted as he waved. He stepped into the room, throwing his boots
off as if he lived in the place. Amiko just glanced at him and returned to staring at the
TV.

"Anything new?" she asked.

SSJ threw himself upon his bed and stared at the ceiling. "Nope. What did you expect? Some
serial killer roaming the place?"

But the TV said otherwise, "The police are on the trail of a devilish serial murderer only
known as the Black Hat..." SSJ and Amiko facefaulted. "Such a person has murdered a
seemingly random set of people. He has so far taken eleven people, including a local gang.
He makes no distinction between gender, race, or age. The police are baffled about his
behavior."

"Well, what do you know," muttered SSJ.

"Damn your author powers," said Amiko.

The news program went on, "In other news, the author made a surprise visit to a local
Carl's Jr. restaurant, eating a chicken sandwich..."

Amiko stared at the TV with narrow eyes. "That's news?!" she muttered. SSJ just
sweatdropped.

"Uh... How about we change the channel..." SSJ took the remote and pressed the channel up
button. There was his face on the screen. He pressed the button again. There he was again.
He began to become agitated, flipping through each of the channels hoping for something
besides himself.

He ended up throwing the TV out of the window in a fit of rage. When the rest of the
Outlaws stepped through the door and saw the broken window and wires leading out of it,
they suddenly feared that they were going to sleep outdoors.

***

Meanwhile, back where the Black Hat had made his way into a warehouse, the police were
swarming the place. They were searching everywhere, through the warehouses, in the sewers,
through the streets, wherever, in search of him. But he was long gone. The sewers were more
complex than the police thought, a winding series of twists and turns with over a million
places to end up.

The Black Hat had used it to his advantage, already in another warehouse at the center of
town. He stood there, a sewer cover just beside his feet. Crates filled the warehouse, and
above the mess was a catwalk that ran all around the room. A ladder or two connected both
floors, and only a few doors led to other rooms.

And upon the catwalk, there was one man dressed in a rather expensive suit. It clashed with
the poor, fading environment. The Black Hat looked left and right. "A rich guy like you
proposing to meet somewhere here?" he sarcastically muttered.

The important looking man just replied, "Silence, you were the one who wanted to join.
Don't complain." The man stopped to fix his tie, which began to feel rather uncomfortable.
"You have made quite a reputation, Yami."

The Black Hat, now Yami, added, "Six women, five men. They were nothing, Tsubasa."

Tsubasa smiled high above him. "Your initiation is almost complete," he said. "One more
man, then you can join, Yami-kun..."

"Oh, it'll be no problem. The police are all over the place, I can kill one of them without
problem."

Tsubasa's smirk grew even more. "You have sixty-nine hours. Quite an impressive murderer,
Yami-kun."

"You flatter me. Has anyone else killed so much people in three hours?"

"The only one I know of is me. I beat the three-day deadline with seventy hours to spare."

Yami smiled. "Well..." He pulled down on his hat in respect, and then pushed it back up.
"How about giving my first mission? I'll get to it after I kill someone."

Tsubasa smiled. "Well, I have no doubts in your ability. Okay, first off, we must get rid
of the government ruling this town. Slaughter everyone in the capitol building, especially
the mayor. If anyone gets in your way, kill him. There will be-"

"Tsubasa," Yami suddenly interrupted. "We have visitors." Tsubasa suddenly quieted as Yami
raised his lance. With one swift motion, he hurled the lance into the stack of crates
behind him. It hit its mark as a yelp filled the air. Tsubasa climbed down a ladder to
follow Yami.

They found the body. Yami took his lance, but didn't stop there. He tore off the man's
shirt, and found a radio box. The man had been wired. Tsubasa suddenly turned white.

"Relax," was all Yami said. "Hide in one of the rooms while I take care of the company."
Tsubasa did so. Yami just climbed up the ladder to the catwalk, and up another one, through
a trap door, and up onto the roof.

The police worked quickly, racing to the last point of transmission. They surrounded the
single warehouse in the center of town. The blaring sirens and flashing red and blue broke
the calm of the dark night. The police, an ever growing group, saw him. Yami stood upon the
roof of the warehouse.

Yami said nothing as he raised his lance.

***

The Outlaws had a bad feeling. They had been on the sidewalk some ten minutes before their
struggle to sleep was broken by the sirens. They raised their heads as automobiles raced
down the streets. They had a bad feeling.

They got up and peered in the direction of the police. They saw the helicopters, the
lights, and the works. They had a bad feeling.

They exchanged glances and came to one conclusion. They all dashed after the police.

***

Screams filled the air. Explosions frequently drowned out the screams. Bullets flew all
over the area around the warehouse as a dark shadow, silhouetted in the bright spotlights
of the helicopters, dashed through the police.

He sent a great many torn to pieces, and a greater many dismembered and in much pain. Some
cars were torn in two from his lance, and blood left no spot unstained. The Outlaws arrived
at the height of the carnage, when the screaming had reached its peak. They could hardly
believe what was happening.

The police that recognized them could not be bothered with trying to get the bounty. Not
when their lives were at stake. Either way, it did not matter. In five minutes flat after
their arrival, they witnessed the last police officer being slaughtered by Yami.

They were struck with fear at the lone figure of Yami. "W... What the Hell?!" DDT could
only mutter.

"T-That... That's impossible!" yelled Cindy.

Yami wasn't deaf. He turned and faced the Outlaws. His black hat had fallen off during his
slaughter. They saw his rather random black hair, going off in every direction, held down
only by gravity. They saw his brown eyes, locked in an eternal glare. SSJ suddenly was
taken aback. His eyes were wide in surprise. "Y... You..."

Yami gave an evil smile. SSJ remembered back to when he was a newcomer in the world, back
before they got Trowa. He met Yami... A radical change from the dirty, depressed boy then.
"We meet again, Light," said Yami.

SSJ didn't respond. He was stuck in surprise, mouth hanging open. Cindy thought, 'Wait a
second...' She looked at Yami. Then she turned to SSJ. To Yami. Back to SSJ. Amiko followed
her friend's gaze. They paused.

"ACK!" they finally blurted out. "Th-They're almost t-twins!"

Yami replied, "Indeed. It is to be expected when I am his darker half." Everyone turned to
him, not knowing what to say. They couldn't understand what was said. Yami just continued,
"I'd explain...but that won't matter since you'll be dead in a few minutes."

The oppressive feeling first felt by the gang now fell upon the unsuspecting Five. They
were filled with fear as Yami raised his lance at them. They could hardly move from the
fear alone.

SSJ stayed silent with his eyes wide open in fear. The ground rumbled as Yami sprinted
forward, lance pulled back in preparation for impalement. CLANG! SSJ only drew his sword in
time to block the blow. SSJ twisted around, struggling to conquer his fear as Yami
continued slashing and attacking.

Finally, SSJ flipped around Yami and swung around, aiming the back of his sword straight at
Yami's face-

--- STOP! ---

The screen suddenly froze. Chibi characters of SSJ and TM fell onto the screen just before
the frozen picture of the surprised Yami, moments before his face is hit by the sword. The
chibi SSJ spoke, "By now, I'm sure those of you with no lives are wondering where the Hell
did I get another blade, since it was destroyed in chapter 16."

The chibi TM added, "Well, it's quite simple... you see..."

"I bought another katana exactly like it right after the chapter. You wouldn't have needed
a scene like that, right? ... ...Right?"

A silence passed as SSJ tried to get people to agree with him.

TM finally broke the silence, "Anyway... Back to the show."

--- Back to the Show! ---

The chibi characters disappeared from the screen, and the action resumed. SSJ's blade
smacked hard into the left side of Yami's face, sending him flying back in pain. Yami
skidded back as SSJ raised his blade at him.

Yami just smiled, left eye shut. "So... You're better then I thought..."

Suddenly, a yell filled the air. TM was in the air, aiming a slash at Yami. He swung his
sword down upon Yami, who unfortunately was able to dodge. "Fool," muttered Yami. SSJ
barely dodged the blade as Yami swung it around to jab TM in the gut with the flat end. The
wind was knocked out of him. TM coughed in pain from the single blow and was smacked away
while SSJ leapt back.

That left Yami open, or so DDT thought. "Firebolt!" he screamed as he raised his palms at
him. A line of fire bursted from his palms and sped straight towards Yami, who just
thrusted his blade into the center of the beam of fire. The fire broke and diverted in
directions all around Yami.

"Useless," said Yami. Yami dashed straight at DDT, cracking the ground with each stomp.
Before anyone knew it, DDT had a slash from shoulder to hip, blood flying everywhere. Cindy
raised her gun and fired. Yami ducked and dodged and skidded away from the five.

Yami just leered at them all and said, "So, which of you would want to be next?"

Yami barely heard SSJ behind him and barely ducked from a horizontal slash. Yami swung his
leg and tripped SSJ, and in one painful motion, he swung the butt of his lance up and hit
SSJ right under the chin. SSJ's head snapped back as he flew into the sky. Everyone felt
sorry for him then. "Weak. You're all weak."

SSJ crashed into the ground, unable to feel his body. He twitched all over, sore from that
one attack alone. Yami stepped towards SSJ. Cindy figured what he would do and squeezed the
triggers of her revolvers. BANG! The bullets flew through the air... ...The bullets stopped
in midair some feet away from Yami. Cindy couldn't believe it. Yami glared back at her. He
finally said, "I guess I should say. My name is Dark. Dark SSJ. My alias is Yami." He
glared down upon the almost unconscious SSJ, who felt his legs again. "I'd love to kill
you, Light. Really, I would. But that would give me no satisfaction. I want you to suffer.
Live knowing that you can never defeat me. Live knowing that I am above you. Suffer and
live in anguish. And I'll kill you at the height of your misery. Right now, I have a job."

With that, Yami turned and stepped away. Clouds covered the moonlight then, sending the
place into pitch black. When they moved, Yami was gone.

Amiko stepped up to SSJ. She tapped him with her foot. She sighed.

***

Light shone through the window. SSJ opened his eyes to the stimulus, seeing the blue sky
outside. He sat up, head throbbing in pain. He grabbed his head and muttered, "Crap... This
hurts..." He looked around and saw no one. He was back at their inn room. He knew not why
they were let in after last night's incident, but he didn't care. His head stung too much.

SSJ then heard footsteps. Each knock on the floor was a separate throb in his head. He
couldn't stand it. TM appeared around the corner, arms crossed. "How're you holding up?"
asked TM.

"Every sound is like a hammer to my head," SSJ blankly replied.

TM sighed. His eyes fell to the ground. He muttered more to himself than to SSJ, "I was
defeated before the battle began. How sad..." TM saw a chair nearby. He drew his sword and
gave it one good slash out of anger. "Who was that guy, anyway?!"

SSJ was silent. He finally sighed, "When everyone gets here, I'll tell."

"We are," someone DDT called from SSJ's side. SSJ nearly fell off his bed. He turned and
saw Amiko, Cindy, and DDT sitting beside his bed. He noticed the bandages covering DDT's
wound.

"Since when were you there?!" demanded SSJ.

"Oh, since 'hammer to my head,'" replied Cindy, eating from a bag of chips.

SSJ just sweatdropped at that. "Didn't notice you there," he said the obvious.

Amiko twitched. Her eye twitched in anger. "Didn't notice?" she repeated. "I'm the one here
that has the most sense here, and you didn't notice?!" She fumed as SSJ just sat there.
Amiko calmed down and added, "Anyway, who the hell was 'Dark'?"

SSJ took a deep breath. He stared down and began, "Remember when we first came here, TM?
Amiko?" The two nodded. "I met him once, back during our first days here. Back before you
got Trowa, I ran into Dark. He called me Light then, too... He has changed since then, I
guess. He used to look more like me, but he changed his hair during the few months after we
met. He also seemed to gain a lot of other stuff... That lance, hatred, and that freaky
leer."

The others looked at each other, not knowing what to say. Finally, Cindy said, "Okay, so we
know who that guy is... But why did he suddenly come all of a sudden?"

SSJ said nothing. He just shook his head. Everyone sighed. As silence came upon the group,
TM reached for the remote and turned on the TV, back in its part of the wall. There, the
news was on... TM was suddenly taken aback. "HEY! IT'S DARK! HE'S OVER THERE IN THE CORNER!"

Everyone was suddenly taken aback by him. They all turned to the TV at the spot where TM
was pointing. Everyone crowded around the screen. Dark was in the corner of the screen.
Cindy dropped her bag of chips. Everyone became silent, focusing on one man in the center
of the screen.

***

Somewhere in the city, there was the headquarters of a secret faction, the "Aku no
Tsubasa", otherwise called the "Akuno". No one knew of their existence. No one knew of
their leader, Tsubasa, or of Dark, its newest member. The slaughter of the police the night
before- except for the Five- since there were no survivors. No one knew that same person
responsible for the slaughter went to the capitol building later that night and left five
minutes later with the head of the mayor. No one knew why such confusion was happening.

Which is why Tsubasa took the opportunity. He stood on the TV at the height of the
confusion, and he gave a speech: "We have waited long and hard for a day as today. The
simple fact of life, innocently made by Charles Darwin shall finally be proven. Survival of
the fittest! The strong live and the weak die! We are strong, the government is weak! The
Aku no Tsubasa, the Wings of the Devil, have come to take Osseke to free it from the rule
of the weak. We are strong, and we will survive. We will finally break away from the
singular Terran government, and we shall form a second country. Osseke will be the home of
us! The Akuno!"

***

Back at the inn, the five just stared at the TV, mouths lying on the floor. They were in
stark silence as the speech continued, on and on. In midspeech, Cindy muttered, "Is this
idiot serious?! Who the Heck IS he?"

"He can't even write a coherent speech, and he plans to start his own country?" said Amiko
in a very disbelieving voice. Everyone was silent, thinking about why Dark would be in such
a group. They knew not what would happen. They knew not what to expect. They sat there in
the room, waiting.

SSJ finally said, "The government should do something... Right?"

"They have to!" replied DDT. None of them knew what to expect.

***

"Interesting... Interesting..."

That was all that was said inside Rantmon's aerial castle. Jallopsimon stood beside
Rantmon's throne, looking at the ground before them. A circle glowed on the ground, showing
the warehouse, Tsubasa, and the many, many people below him yelling in agreement. They were
watching. They were waiting.

"Shall we do something about this nuisance, Rantmon?" asked Jallopsimon. He clenched his
fists and stretched his arms, waiting for the order to crack some skulls.

But Rantmon said, "Let's not." That surprised Jallopsimon. "They way he's going, he'll end
up putting himself in checkmate. There's no threat from this moron. In the meantime, as the
world focuses on this 'crisis', we should put our energies in other matters."

Jallopsimon turned to Rantmon. "Finding the two Atmas?"

Rantmon smiled. "Yes. Those two will lead us to perfection..."

Jallopsimon looked away. He had other things on his mind. He wanted to go down to Osseke.
He knew DDT was going to be there. Jallopsimon's eyes narrowed as he angrily leered down at
the circular vision.

So the castle on the sky passed over the land. The conflict was just beginning. Osseke was
just a diversion compared to the real terror a certain someone had in plan...
