The screeching of tires and the thunder of a thousand footsteps filled the sky. Lines upon
lines of soldiers emerged from hundreds of vans, and quickly surrounded a warehouse in the
middle of the city. Silence returned again as the rows of blue soldiers stood. Their black
helmets gleamed in the sunlight.

Then a man in a black leather trench coat stepped forward, facing the door. A massive
sword, a Zweinhander, was strapped onto his back. The weight of the blade chaffed his
shoulders as he stood. That did not matter, though. He was there for no other reason than
to kill. He yelled as loud as he could, with two ear plugs in his ear, "Surrender! We shall
show no mercy to you slime! Pathetic dogs! Especially I, Akiyoshi Kentaro! First Class!"

The large, rusty doors opened with an unsettling scrape. Dark emerged from the blackness,
and stood, unarmed in front of the lines. His right arm was draped in black leather, with
his hands covered in dull gray gloves. His body was covered with a large dark turquoise
shirt. His dark gray shorts waved as he stepped forward, with large, tall boots protecting
his feet.

He stepped forward and spoke with his eyes closed, "You don't need to show any of us mercy.
Especially me."

---- Chapter 19: Kino Tsumuji: Man with Two Faces ----

Not much farther, SSJ and company leaned over the window to their apartment, staring at
Dark and his opponent. They all stared, wide-eyed, unable to move or speak as they stood.
After a moment of silence, DDT spoke in a weary voice, "This could get ugly..."

TM gulped, "What a shitty day."

Silence returned again, only interrupted by the thundering sound of footsteps, and the
shouts of armored soldiers as they pass through the corridors. "A state of emergency has
been declared for this region! Retreat to the shelters immediately!"

TM and DDT looked at each other, then at Amiko and Cindy, who nodded and ran toward the
corridor. TM neared the door before he looked back and saw SSJ, still leaning over the
window. "Come on, SSJ! We gotta go!"

SSJ stayed silent, staring as Dark prepared his battle against Kentaro. He glared down at
the battlefield, ignoring TM who said, "SSJ! Hey! Come on!"

A guard poked his head through the doorway, surprised to see SSJ and TM still in the room.
"Move it, kids!" he commanded. "We're locking down in one minute!"

"Okay!" TM yelled at the guard. He then turned to SSJ as the guard disappeared. "Come on!"
he pleaded.

SSJ just sighed and turned away from the window. He stepped past TM and said over his
shoulder, "Then let's go."

Meanwhile, Dark and Kentaro stood, reading each other's auras. As Kentaro's army waited
around the two, there they stood. Kentaro and his company were at the very least surprised
when Dark's black aura came out, sending shivers down Kentaro's back. 'What?!' Kentaro
thought. 'His aura... It's visible?!'

Kentaro stared at Dark, who did nothing but stand there, unarmed with the black aura along
striking fear into their hearts. Finally, Kentaro concluded, 'I guess I should use the
succession technique...'

Kentaro gave a war cry, heaving his heavy sword and allowing it to crash into the ground
before him. Kentaro said to the silent Dark, "I must warn you, I eat scum like you for
breakfast."

Dark finally opened his eyes. He had a grin and muttered, "You eat scum for breakfast?"

Kentaro was taken aback at his words being used against him. "No! I- Uh..." He trailed off.
Finally, he just yelled at Dark, "SHUT UP!" He held up his blade, supporting it with both
hands, flat side facing up. He stood, feet wide apart, his right foot back, prepared to
dash at Dark. "JINCHUU!" he screamed.

Kentaro leapt forward. His right foot pounded into the ground as he went forward. He
shoved the point of the blade into the ground, and caused the earth to shatter at an
impossible speed towards Dark. From the broken earth coming towards him, Dark called for
his lance.

Dark caught the lance as it swung up, and quickly leapt out of the way. Kentaro's blade
stopped where Dark previously stood, and, as if the Zweinhander was nothing, he started to
spin in a circle, dragging his sword up from the ground. Dark was awestruck when he
realized he stopped in midair, and started moving towards Kentaro. 'He made a vortex!' Dark
figured.

Dark could only wait as he came within range of the sword, ready to be cleaved in half as
Kentaro neared finishing a full circle. Dark quickly devised a counterattack. He quickly
shoved his lance through the vortex, and as quickly as it began, the winds stopped.

Kentaro still attempted to slash at Dark, who merely blocked with the shaft of his lance.
Dark taunted, "Nice technique, but with a sword like that, it is much too slow."

Dark simply kicked Kentaro in the stomach, and finally, Dark raised his blade to Kentaro's
neck. Dark was quickly bathed in blood. Kentaro's army raised their weapons at Dark, ready
to attack with everything they had.

Dark stepped back towards the warehouse. He didn't even turn back to the army and muttered,
"Do your jobs."

As Dark walked towards the warehouse, hordes of samurai leapt out from nearby buildings,
sewers, and tall rooftops onto the giant army. Metal clashed and gunshots were heard as a
giant battle began right in the middle of the city.

***

An hour passed. Somewhere in the world, there was a small room, lit by only a single light
above a round table made of finely polished wood. Fourteen men sat with their hands propped
on the table, their faces resonating in the darkness.

An old man with a wrinkled face, by the name of Kale West, sat on one end of the long
table. He began to speak in a low, booming voice, "It seems your army has failed us,
President Mishima. Five thousand soldiers died at the hands of less than a hundred damn
ninjas."

Another old man sat across, on the opposite end of the table. He had a more toned face
then Kale. He wore small reading glasses, which had to be pushed back every now and then.
He wore a frustrated, and angry face, and slammed his fist into the table. It was Mishima,
who yelled, "Blast!" He fumed with anger at his luck.

Another man, this one in his late thirties sat on Kale's right. His blue eyes shown
brightly in the darkness. This one was known as Harrison Craig. He added to the table, "The
clock is ticking, Mishima. 'Akuno''s demands on Osseke hasn't been lifted."

Mishima thought about the situation. He finally let out a desperate sigh. "What are our
options?" he asked.

A young man of twenty-five, known only as "Daedalus", spoke as his glasses shone bright in
the little light, "There are several entrances into the warehouse. We could infiltrate
through the sewers, but that choice is protected with explosives. Using that, a single,
well placed missile could destroy their entire base."

Mishima thought about the options. Send in another army, but suffer massive resistance.
Another was to follow Daedalus' plan, but that required complex planning and calculations.
Time wasn't on their side, for the longer the Akuno is in existence, the more people will
follow its ideals. He couldn't think of a solution. But someone did, and that someone
interrupted the council, "Or we could send in my B-type units."

Mishima's eyes narrowed with disgust as he turned his chair around and peered towards the
shadows. There was Kino, dressed quite nicely in a white coat with a clashing black collar.
His blue shirt clashed with his blond eye-length hair. He had black pants and brown zipper
boots that rounded off his attire. Mishima's glare met Kino's narrow green eyes.

"How the Hell did you get in here, Kino?!" Mishima demanded.

Kino smiled and replied, "That's not something to discuss. I'm just giving a suggestion.
The B-type units are complete. Both of them."

Daedalus suddenly interrupted the hostile conversation, "'Gemini Project'?"

"Yes," Kino replied with a smile. "Androids #4 and #5 are ready for combat."

Elsewhere, back in Osseke, the civilians of Osseke waited underground, nineteen stories
under to be precise. On the north wall of the shelter, there lay giant rusty gates,
apparently unused. To the east and west, locked down elevators from which still more people
were entering from. On the south wall, rows of stairs, where more people were pouring in.

The entire shelter was bare and wide, with a dull gray coloring. The blue mats covering the
floor added little color to the giant room. SSJ and company sat on the south west area of
the shelter, alone amongst themselves.

SSJ leaned on a wall, staring up at the ceiling of the shelter. Amiko sat down next to him,
legs crossed and staring at the floor. Cindy was in the same position and stared at TM and
DDT playing blackjack, Mokona sleeping quietly on her shoulder. "Okay, I'll deal,"
announced a carefree DDT.

So DDT passed TM his first card, which TM slammed his hand upon. "WAIT!" he suddenly
yelled, surprising DDT and the people around. Without caring, TM lifted the card and looked
at it as DDT sat there. "Hey, can I stand on just one card?" asked TM.

"Huh?!" DDT uttered, quite surprised. "Well, there's nothing against it... Heh, so go
ahead! Sure!"

"Then I'll do that."

DDT grinned. "Well..." He drew a card it was a ten of spades and announced it so, "Ten..."
There was no way TM would win, so DDT thought! He drew another card. "...plus ten, equals
twenty! I w-"

"Not so fast!" TM interrupted. DDT stopped. TM slammed down his card. There were twenty-one
hearts printed on the card. "Twenty-one! I win!" TM proudly announced. DDT's mouth just
dropped open.

SSJ looked at the commotion and muttered, "They seem to be easily amused." He looked up at
the ceiling, wondering what was happening above.

Amiko turned to SSJ. She said back, "Well, they're not like you. They're more
light-hearted." SSJ just gave Amiko a narrow glance, but said nothing.

Cindy sighed. She muttered to herself, "After arriving here, I've gone through nothing but
crap." Everyone else turned to her. They listened to her as she continued, "I mean, just
after I finally found you guys, we fight a three headed dog. Then, we fight that one guy-"

"Jallopsimon," Davis said as he dealt TM a new hand.

"Yeah. Then we fight three different androids, and then now we have to deal with your Dark
self, SSJ, and terrorists. WHAT ELSE COULD GO WRONG?!" Everyone just stayed silent, not
knowing what to say.

Amiko couldn't bear it. The silence, the tension, she couldn't stand any of it. She needed
something to occupy herself. She just began, "Well..." She then got to her feet, "I guess
I'll walk around this shelter."

Cindy got up as well. She sighed, "I need something to get my mind off of this crap." Cindy
took Mokona off her shoulder and hugged him in her arms. She followed after Amiko.

SSJ leaned back on the wall and stared at the ceiling again. He just stared at the lights,
for there was nothing else of interest. He just muttered, "Damn. This will be a long day..."

SSJ and company just stayed in silence, DDT dealing TM his cards for a new round. In their
silence, they heard a nearby group speaking in low voices. One voiced, "Yeah. I heard some
new guy is now in power."

"He's planning on sending over nothing but two robots over there," said a second one.

"What good would that do?!"

"I don't know, but that was his plan."

Yet another one added, "Someone says there is some way into that warehouse from here."

"Just a rumor, I bet," said the second one.

"If so, I'd want to get in there and kick some ass."

The first one just mocked, "Hah, you can't even take on a schoolgirl!"

"Shut up!"

TM and DDT heard it and realized the meaning of what was said. TM turned to SSJ and asked,
"You heard that, SSJ?"

"Yeah," replied SSJ without looking away from the ceiling. He didn't bother making eye
contact with TM. He didn't want to be dragged into TM's crazy schemes.

DDT turned to TM, catching his drift. "You don't possibly plan on trying..."

"Maybe," TM cut off.

DDT stared, wide eyed at TM. "Those guys are impossible!" he screamed. "They're gonna rip
us to shreds!"

"Shut up!" TM spat back. "I know! But... Think of everyone who has died! Think of all the
lives ruined just by this one organization! Think of the children, who no longer have
fathers, and wives, who no longer have husbands! All of them should be avenged! No one else
should suffer! We should-"

"Shut the Hell up," SSJ coldly interrupted. "You just want some kind of monetary reward."

"That, as well." DDT just stared at TM with disbelieving eyes at that.

The group was silent. Finally DDT looked at TM and SSJ, one after another. He then came to
an agreement, "Well, it's better to try something than sit around, am I right?" TM and DDT
stood up and nodded, and began to walk away. They were away a good few yards before they
realized SSJ wasn't with them.

TM turned back and saw SSJ still leaning on the wall. TM yelled, "SSJ! Come on!"

SSJ looked menacingly at the two. "No." TM and DDT were dumbfounded.

"Huh? Why?!" asked DDT. "You do like fighting, don't you?"

"Come on!" TM added. "Whiny bastard!"

SSJ twitched. TM and DDT stopped. They saw SSJ turn to stare at the ceiling. He only had
one thing on his mind: Dark would be there. He shook with fear. "I don't care to die," he
said. "I don't want to die! I don't care to die here for no reason!"

TM and DDT exchanged glances. They saw a side SSJ hardly showed- his fear of death?! They
could not make anything of it, the most violent and power hungry of them. They just sighed,
turned around, and stepped away, muttering amongst themselves. SSJ sank along the wall. He
sighed, "Sorry..." They didn't hear. He didn't care. His eyes just narrowed as he thought,
'Dark... Someday... I'll kill you...'

Twenty miles from North of Osseke, the mayhem of evacuating cars was only made worse when a
transport plane touched down. It landed in the middle of a busy intersection, infuriating
quite a few drivers. All became silent all around. Doors slid open. There was Kino Tsumuji,
stepping out as he carried a large sheathed tachi. The disgruntled drivers suddenly stopped
complaining.

Kino looked North. He grinned and muttered, "Daedalus really outdone himself this time. Six
thousand miles in two hours is an impressive feat!"

A voice then called from behind him, "Should I open the package?"

Kino turned and saw the pilot, who was pointing to the back of the plane. Kino nodded.
"Please."

The pilot pressed a button, and a door opened on the back of the plane. Two wooden packages
lay inside the back, one slightly larger than the other. The pilot jumped from the cockpit
and walked towards the back. Crowbar in hand, he pried open the boxes to reveal two
cylindrical shapes. Glass windows allowed one to see into each of the packages, where a
humanoid figure seemed to be lying in thick padding.

There was a keypad on each chamber. Kino stepped up and said, "I'll handle it from here."

The pilot nodded and stepped back. Kino walked up to the boxes, remembering the correct
combination. Upon inputting the combination, smoke came from each chamber as a crack
appeared on the sides. More smoke came as the crack widened. The chambers were opening.

The top half of the cylinder swung open, and from it the two figures sat up. They were
quite humanoid, but upon the smoke clearing, the pilot saw they were nothing but metal.
They shone all over, and their cold green eyes were quite disturbing. Kino calmly said,
"Welcome, Gemini. Come with me."

Kino and the two machines stepped out of the plane. The pilot thought he heard about them
before... Androids! He also heard they were supposed to be a line, but were scrapped due to
certain failures after the first three. He didn't wonder what became of them as Kino leapt
onto the back of the taller one. "Go, the Fifth." The tall one obliged without reply. The
short one followed close behind.

***

Rewind two hours. Back to when Kino first entered the dark Council room. Mishima knocked
his chair back as he got to his feet. "Goddamn it!" he swore. He pointed to Kino and
demanded, "How the Hell did you get in here?!"

Kino just smiled. "I don't think that's a matter you should dwell on," he replied quite
unhelpfully. Kino reached onto his coat and out he pulled a knife, sheathed with a polished
black scabbard.

When Kino drew it, Mishima's blood flushed from his face. He uttered, "Tsumuji Kino...!"

"You've been a mediocre president at best." Kino stepped forward, blade gleaming in the low
light. Mishima wouldn't have it.

Mishima turned back to the round table with his thirteen associates. He pleaded, "WEST!
CRAIG!"

Blood suddenly splattered all over the table. Mishima's body fell upon the table. His head
rolled on the floor. Kino's blade was stained with blood, which he calmly wiped off with a
cloth that was in his pocket. The thirteen men were calm as well. This wasn't a surprise.
It was a planned out coup d'etat!

Kino then stood before the table as he kicked off Mishima's body. He sat in the chair
Mishima sat in just a few minutes before. He began, "Now gentlemen, let's talk business..."

"Hm," said Daedalus. "There's nothing to discuss..."

Kale added with a grin, "President Kino Tsumuji."

"Heh," chuckled Harrison. "Nice to meet you." And the rest of the Council greeted Kino in a
similar fashion.

Kino just smirked. "Thank you, gentlemen."

***

Fast forward to current time. Change places to the shelter. Cindy and Amiko wandered
through the shelter, past people and through crowds, searching for anything to occupy their
time. Cindy groaned, "I'm tired..." She just fell to the ground and sat there, sighing.

Amiko stopped and faced Cindy. Amiko finally said, "Of what?"

"Everything," Cindy muttered, quite depressed. Amiko just peered at her friend.

Amiko didn't want her friend like this. She thought about what to say to cheer her up. She
finally said, "Cindy... It's not that bad, really! Except for the fact that the boys have
to rely on me for cooking, but, hey! We're in this together, right?"

"Hey!" said a voice that sounded like TM. Amiko and Cindy turned towards the sound, and
there were TM and DDT pushing through a crowd. Amiko helped Cindy up and the four stepped
up to each other.

"What's up?" asked Amiko.

TM rubbed his chin thoughtfully, thinking about how to explain. "Well, we heard of a way
into the Akane or whatever warehouse and..."

Amiko and Cindy just stared at TM. They exchanged glances. They were silent, staring at TM,
trying to see if he was sick in any way. Upon seeing that he was perfectly fine, Cindy
muttered, "To... The Warehouse...?!"

"WHAT ARE YOU?!" yelled Amiko all of a sudden as she grabbed TM's shirt. "STUPID?!" She
shook him a couple of times for effect.

TM just raised his hands to try and calm her. He yelled, "Hey, Hey! Calm down!" He grabbed
Amiko's wrists and pushed them away. Amiko then heard TM say, "Well, if we can get in there
and defeat the leader, we can wipe out the organization, right?!"

A silence passed. Finally, Amiko sighed and consented. She just muttered with narrow eyes,
"Do you have proof that this passage exists?"

"Well... No."

Amiko sighed. Before she could chew out TM some more, DDT interrupted with, "Well, on the
way here, I did notice something." Everyone turned to DDT as he explained, "There's a sewer
cover down here. I know that this place has a rather complex sewer system, but with it,
every single place is connected-"

DDT was suddenly cut off when Cindy grabbed him by the shirt. She shook him and screamed,
"YOU EXPECT US TO GO THROUGH THE SEWERS?!" DDT nodded his head during the violent shake.

Cindy let go of DDT's shirt and turned to Amiko. They nodded. Amiko then said, "Well, fine.
But this'll be the only time I'll ever follow through your plans, TM."

"Heh. Fine." TM grinned.

So they went into the corner of the shelter, away from the people, for it was the furthest
point from the entrance. Hidden behind barrels and boxes, there indeed was a sewer cover in
the ground. TM just did his thing, pulling out his sword and prying open the cover with it.
It flew out with a clang as TM sheathed his sword. He was the first to jump down.

SPLASH! TM landed within the foul water. TM's voice echoed out of the sewers, "SHIT! MY
PANTS!" Amiko and Cindy sighed.

Amiko leaned over the opening, and saw down into the sewer. The sewer stretched in a
straight line, and dry concrete lined the walls. TM stood on the left side, trying to dry
off his pants. He was glad, then, that he came into contact with no water during that time
thanks to his boots.

Amiko sighed, and grabbed the edges as she dropped down. She swung herself on the side TM
was on. Cindy did the same, and DDT evaporated the water as he dropped down. DDT stepped
onto the concrete walkway and said quite modestly, "I'm a genius."

As the water flow returned to normal, TM muttered, "Showing off, huh?"

"Well, I can't get my bare feet THAT disgustingly dirty."

"Weren't you eating Taco Bell last week?"

"That is different. Besides, God-knows-what is in that water."

TM just looked at DDT, quite aware of the surprising contradiction. But the moment was cut
short when Amiko's voice suddenly yelled, "HEY! Where's SSJ?!"

TM sighed and turned to her. He said, "SSJ is wussing out this time."

"EH?!" bursted Cindy. "He's not coming?!"

"HE'S ABANDONING US?!" Amiko screamed in disbelief. "WHY?!" She couldn't understand SSJ's
behavior. He never abandoned his friends... Well, maybe a couple of times, but she still
couldn't believe he was ditching them. TM and DDT could not give an answer, so they went
along their way.

The four continued through the sewers, jumping over small streams of water, avoiding
dripping water, getting lost, running away from rats, getting lost again, running away from
bigger rats, and cursing along the way.

***

Back at the shelter, the giant, rusty north gates opened with a loud screech, forcing
everyone nearby to flee, covering their ears in pain. The doors revealed a giant cargo
elevator shaft made of metal. From above, a large elevator came down, grinding metal to
metal is it scraped along the shaft. Kino and his two androids were on it. Finally, the
elevator reached the floor, and Kino along with his androids stepped off. A group of nearby
officers backed away in terror.

Kino said nothing. An officer walked up to Kino. Kino turned his head and barely looked at
him out of the corner of his eye. The officer stuttered, "It's true then... huh?
Mishima-sama has been overthrown?"

Kino said nothing. He pointed to the bloody cloth, which he threw upon the floor. The
officers sank where they stood. Kino just stepped through the shelter, the two androids
following. He made his way towards the corner of the room, where he knew there was a sewer
entrance.

As he continued along, the androids tearing the matted ground wherever they stepped, he
caught sight of a certain boy. There was SSJ, staring at the floor as he sat by the wall.
The crowd moved away as SSJ continued to lean on the wall. Soon, SSJ was alone as Kino
approached him. Kino suddenly felt a stinging pain in his brain. He suddenly formed a glare.

"Boy," he said, suddenly serious. SSJ didn't respond, nor did he move. He just ignored
Kino. The people nearby just stared at the spectacle. Kino's voice suddenly exploded, "Boy!
Respond, you little dipshit!"

SSJ finally sighed and looked up at Kino. He noticed the giant sword. Kino looked SSJ in
the eye and demanded, "Tell your name."

SSJ pushed off from the wall and stood on his own two feet. He looked up at Kino, then the
androids, then Kino again. He couldn't figure out what had happened. But SSJ just said,
"SSJ."

Kino sneered at SSJ. "What a stupid name."

"I know. Made it up myself." SSJ forced a smile.

"Tch." Kino spat back, "Don't talk to your president like that, you fucking little snot."

SSJ's eyes widened as Kino pulls out his knife, drawing it just a bit. Time seemed to stop
as SSJ saw the sharp blade, already stained with blood. Kino continued, "I'm not your
friend, you fucking outlaw. I know what you are. Fucking little leech. Stealing from those
who have rightfully earned their money. You know how much shit I had to go through, when my
fucking androids were dismantled?!"

That struck SSJ. "Your-"

"Shut the fuck up." He drew his knife even more, aiming the blade at SSJ's neck. SSJ turned
white with fear. "I didn't say for you to speak, shit face. Because of you and your gang,
Yuki's dead!"

SSJ's breath almost stopped as Kino completely drew the knife. He threatened SSJ by
stabbing the wall right next to him. He muttered, "She'd be alive now if it wasn't for you.
Do you feel guilt?"

SSJ said nothing. Suddenly, Kino felt the stinging pain again. He suppressed it, but SSJ
saw the face he made. He wondered what the man before him went through. But Kino got up
and then gave SSJ an indifferent "I'll spare you today. Where are your friends?"

SSJ said nothing. "Speak," Kino commanded.

SSJ tried to speak, but it was kind of hard when a knife was two inches from his face. He
finally managed, "Don't... Know... I don't know... I don't know!"

"Tell the truth," Kino said, suddenly calm. SSJ looked up at him. He seemed to have
changed... Even his way of speaking changed... SSJ felt that he was colder than ever.

The knife still in the wall finally made up his mind. "Going to fight the terrorists...
They heard of a passage."

Kino smirked. "So they are, huh?" He pulled the knife from the wall and sheathed it. He
placed it around his belt. "Let's go," he said to the androids. Kino stepped away, towards
the sewer cover, androids following behind.

SSJ fell to the ground. He pounded the mat and thought, 'Shit... TM... DDT... Cindy-chan...
Amiko-chan...'

SSJ watched Kino and the androids find the sewer opening. He saw the androids break open
the hole and drop inside, amazed at their power. But they were going to run into his
friends! A dilemma faced SSJ. Death... Or his friends' deaths. SSJ just cursed and ran
after them, trying to avoid being seen. He looked down the opening and saw the rushing
water. He swung to the concrete lining the left wall and landed on his feet with a thud.
And quickly, he ran into a nearby pipe as Kino and the androids looked back.

Kino smiled, realizing who it was. "Big rats, I suppose?" Kino turned around and left the
area.

That left SSJ with little options. He couldn't leave the pipe. He had to go through. He
looked through his pipe and muttered to himself, "Well, I'm stuck." He walked towards the
other end of the pipe.

***

There was a sound of rushing water. That was to be expected in a sewer, but this seemed to
be different. Amiko and company, weary from their trek in the sewers, suddenly came to a
wide room from the tunnels. It was a giant underground processing plant! Pipes stuck out
from the walls and a green, putrid liquid flowed from them, falling into the pool far
below. The acrid odor filled the room, and the four quickly stopped to cover their noses.

"GAWD!" TM yelled. "WHAT A SMELL!"

"Now, why did I follow you?" Cindy managed to say while covering her nose.

"Ugh... I'm sick..." Amiko wasn't having it much better.

DDT managed to continue on ahead, leaving the others behind as he walked down a set of
stairs. That's right, he lived with this stuff! A set of stairs from the tunnel led to a
giant octagonal platform, held up by a thick concrete pillar. The pillar colored green from
the toxic liquid. The other sides of the platform had bridges which led to different
tunnels. Amiko and company caught up to DDT. "DDT?" asked Amiko.

DDT turned to the others, "Let's go. Standing here won't make things smell better."

Cindy looked at all the bridges. With seven in all, it was hard deciding which was the
best. She finally asked, "To which one?!" DDT looked. He shrugged and Cindy sighed.

Suddenly, splashing was heard in the waters below. Suddenly, the platform shook as clawed
fingers grabbed onto six of the bridges around them. The things pulled up and climbed onto
the platform. The gang was understandably a little surprised. There were giant green
alligators. TM could think of nothing to say but, "So alligators DO live in the sewers?!"

"Impossible!" said Amiko.

But despite what Amiko hoped, the six alligators were real. Their scales glistened in the
lights from the ceiling. Their tails were powerful enough to destroy the bridges they were
on, sending it crashing into the waters far below. That left the one they just came from,
plus the one directly across.

Well, getting away was the least of their worries. Staying alive was more important when
they saw the bloody fangs and claws. Amiko sighed, "I wish I was in the shelter, like
SSJ..."

Cindy just smiled and patted TM and DDT on the back. "You two can protect us!" she happily
said. "So, go ahead!"

TM and DDT were shoved ahead, and Amiko and Cindy moved back. TM glared at them both, but
turned towards the alligators. He just gulped, "What a shitty day..."

DDT spoke in a weary voice, "This could get ugly."

TM and DDT waited as the beasts stepped closer, their caustic breath flowing from their
noses. Their tongues dangled from their mouths, and their eyes were fixed on ripping the
four to shreds. "Well, here goes nothing," said TM as he drew his sword.

"Yeah."

TM took the first step and rushed towards the mutants, DDT following close behind.
