Fire Emblem Fan Fiction / Fire Emblem Fan Fiction ❯ Complications of Love and Humanity ❯ Eliwood's Feelings ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Hello. I came to write a fic...another romance fic. I guess that's my specialty now. Hee hee. I'm a big Fire Emblem fan since... I placed eyes on Marth and Roy. Then came the GBA game that I practically love some much that I hardly put it down. Oh yeah, Twin Moons had inspired me to write this fic since I read her's.

The couples are: Eliwood x Lyn (my favorite), Hector x Florina(my second favorite),

Sain x Pricilla x Erk x Serra, Lyn x Kent x Fiora, Priscilla x Guy x Tactician x Rath, slight Pent x Louis, Matthew x Leila (memory), and more triangles involving another tactician and Ninian as well. I might add a bit more...but who knows. Oh yeah, main point of this story: Can these couples be or at least stay together? coughErkandSerracough. Things will get really complicated later on.

I own none of the characters they are licensed and are owned by Intellegence System and who ever created Fire Emblem. The tacticians are mine though.

Chapter One

It has been a year... Thought a young man who looked out the window...since our adventure...yet...why do I feel this way? You are no stranger, but a good friend. Then why am I uneasy when I think of you. I think I've been thinking too much that even my sweet mother is worried about me so. I guess...I miss you. And...I want to be with you.

The youth turned from the window and laid on his bed. The bed that once had felt so comfortable to this noble's skin now had turned hard as he lacks sleep these days. The young noble often pondered about his companions, especially a once lovely girl he met about three years ago. His once short hair had grown long enough for a small ponytail and it had turned darker.

"Lord Eliwood?" Came a voice from outside of his room. "Are you there?"

"Yes, Marcus." Replied the red-head youth, not even bothering to look up or move.

"Sir...you must tell me what is bothering you so. For months you have been the same. I used to see you so bright and cheery since the days of your childhood. And now I see you moping as if that all died."

"Marcus...what I think...or feel is something that not even I can put into words."

"Lady Elenora has been these days worry about her only flesh and blood. Ever since the death of Lord Elbert, may he rest in peace, she has been more concern for your health. If something were to happen to you, Pharae shall fall into despair."

"Sir Marcus! You talk as if I am ill and am dying upon my bed. I can assure you that I am not ill. I just...need time to think. About..."

"Oh...now I see. Young master thinks upon the spring time. I see that you've, through out our journey, has been fond of Lady Lyndis. I can see it in your eyes now...If you mother knew..."

"What is it?"

"My dear boy...do you not think it is time to express your feelings for Lady Lyndis? I am sure she will listen."

"I...I do not know. Her feelings...I don't know what she feels. What if she has found another...but wait! You think that I'm ..."

"In love? Why yes. I will let you be for a moment to think this thoroughly. If you need me, call."

So the old wise man had left the fiery red-head alone in his chambers to think about the situation. Was he in love with Lyn? Eliwood's sapphire eyes looked confused as he kept pondering at what the paladin had said. Should he say what he feels for Lyn?

That's when he once again looked out the window and saw one of his servants locked in an embrace with one of the guards. They look so happy, thought the young noble as he let out a sigh and gazed at the ring he had in his pocket.

Meanwhile in the Ethuria, a young lad of violet colored hair had been roaming around the streets, looking for black markets. His red cape had looked somewhat brand new until dust and dirt flew into it. As he walked throughout the streets, some villagers had pushed him and shoved.

Wiping away the dust from his clothes, he murmured something not too nice to people that bumped into him. Anima Sage Erk had truly become a master of the black arts. For the last year, he had been traveling around, learning new spells to become powerful, even when he's not under the teachings of Lord Pent, his former master.

The young Sage recalled correctly when he first had arrived to be taught. He was but a young lad of six when he was taken under the wing of Lord Pent and his wife-to-be Lady Louis. At first, the violet haired boy could not even set a twig on fire without burning himself as well.

But as he grew, his strength did as well. It was hard for a child to abandon all childhood privileges to be taught in the ways of magic. So Erk never got to know how to make friends, play games, or even make good conversation. Even thought Lord Pent had tried to make the lad social, all Erk wanted to do was learn to be as strong as his master. To prove to everyone that he will not go down easily. Then he met Serra.

The first assignment he had from his master was to protect Serra and take her to Ostia, which made his life miserable. The pink haired girl would often ask questions to the Sage about his life, yet he didn't bother to answer back. Yet, he spent a good amount of time with her through the journey they had and the quest that Lyn had.

The Sage blamed Serra for dragging him to fight into a battle that did not concern them at all. Once it was over, he sent her to Ostia, where he thought he wasn't going to see her again...until a year later. His nightmare came true. Serra had appeared in his life once more. But at least he didn't have to watch over since she wasn't a customer, right? Wrong Erk, he thought when he had to fend off villains to keep the girl safe. Very wrong!

It wasn't until she had become a Bishop that she could fight, but still. She was better off as a Cleric than a fighter. Though, both of them had managed to say somethings, if remaining silence and putting words in your mouth are saying something. He had to admit, he wasn't social, but at least he stood a firm grip on things.

When he arrived at the black market, the Anima Sage bought plenty of magic items and some food.

Just when he paid the man and was about to leave the village, a sound perked his ears. A sound he hadn't heard in a long time. He turned around to see a familiar face that he somewhat hoped that would never come again, but also that he somewhat missed.

"EEERRRRKKYYYYY!" Shouted a voice from the crowd. "Gasp! There you are! I've missed you so much! It's been a year, hasn't it!"

"Serra!" Erk spoke in shock as a pair of arms nearly crushed him to death.

"Oh...I've missed you and everyone so much! What have you've been doing! And why are you here?"

Erk tried to breathe, but it seemed impossible for him to do so since the Cleric had such a strong grip on him.

A couple of people went by looking at them. Some people went aww as the two seemed to be hugging. Some guy that knew how Erk was made fun of him as he pretended to kiss an invisible person. His buddies laughed, making the Sage very angry.

"Could you let go of me, Serra!" The purple haired youth managed to breathe out.

"Oh. Sorry." Apologized the rosy haired girl."Oh Erk. It's been a long time, how have you been?"

"I've been better, before you came."

"I'm so glad that you feel better that I came! You're such a sweetie!"

"Anyway, I'm here on vacation and I managed to see you! Don't you miss the old days?"

"Not really."

"I say we should go to a pub and have something to eat and drink, so we can catch up!"

"Well...I just came here to get some items for Lord Pent. I'm rather busy, so if I may, I have to leave."

"I'll go with you!"

"No! You stay here. You've been quite a handful for today. Good day."

"Okay! Erk, you really can say the nicest things!"

So even as much as the young sage ranted and told her off, Serra still followed the sage to where Pent and Louis have been staying. The married couple were preparing for the birth of their child, in which both were so happy. Never did this couple been happier to have a child. Louis has been about six months pregnant and still in good condition. Since of that, Erk had been off easy, often doing errands for the couple.

As the cleric and sage arrived at their destined location, the sage and sniper had welcomed them. The blonde woman took a good look at Erk then at Serra and remembered her from their adventures a year ago. The wise sage, Pent had been given somewhat of a wrong idea and thought that Erk had managed to hook up with Serra.

"My Lord." Erk spoke as he presented the items to his master. "I have brought what you have asked."

"Thank you, Erk." Responded the light blue haired man. "And may I say that this young girl you have is none other then Lady Serra."

"Yes sir." Spoke the violet eyed girl."That's me! It's been a while. Oh my! Louis, you're pregnant! What is it, and when is it due!"

"Ha ha ha." Laughed the kind woman."I'm six months, I think it will be a boy. And should be due in three months."

"I love babies! They're so cute!"

"I'm glad you do. I have not seen you in a while. And you've changed your hair a bit."

"Oh yeah!"

"Tell me, Serra." Spoke Lord Pent while looking somewhat sly at Erk."How long have you and Erk been together? This boy loves to keep secrets."

"We are NOT together!" Erk barked as he crossed his arms.

"Oh...well." Serra spoke. "He hasn't said anything. And I have not been here for a long time."

"Would you like to be his girlfriend?" Asked the wise old sage.

"Um...if he lightens up a bit!"

"You heard that, Erk. Live a little, there's no need to be such a stiff."

The violet haired Sage just shook his head and rolled his eyes at the comment, if one could call it that. He sat down quietly as they all had some tea and food.

During that time, Serra spoke of all she had done in the past year. The pink haired girl spoke of the many places she visited and the many dangers she had. Pent and Louis listened to all she had spoken and often have looks to each other of love. The Cleric couldn't help but catch a glimpse of Erk, who was at the floor.

Though many thought she had a small crush or a big burden on the Sage, the truth was that she was in love with him, and her airheadness was a show of fun. Whenever he said no, he doesn't care, or even no response, it hurt the amethyst eyed girl. What she wanted was for him to return her affection.

To Erk, Serra was a burden. But yet he couldn't help but think on how...different she looked. The young lady had once long rosy hair, and now it was cut to two inches below her shoulders. Her bangs had grew down, so it covered her face. Another scary thought that crossed his mind on how she looked mature and very cute. WAAAIIIT! Shouted a voice in the Sage's head. Did I think Serra is cute? Push that thought away, Erk! But he couldn't.

In the city of Cyprus, a young energetic woman had been soaring through the skies on her faithful Pegasus, Huey. Her long lavender hair had been flowing with the wind breezes and her emerald eyes had been full of joy. The lovely Pegasus Knight landed in one of the villages and checked out the weapon shop.

Though her times of fighting are over, she felt safer with a lance on her hands, to keep those perverted men off of her. Florina recalls her many friends she met in the time of fighting. She remembered her childhood friend, Lyn, Eliwood, Lucius, Erk, many others, and Hector. That lord had such a loud voice that he usually scared me. She thought as she remembered the time she had to ask him for information on what is happening.

The cyan haired youth's voice boomed that even Guy, who was about 18 meters away from them, heard it clearly. But he was strong, She added in. And I admired that in him. It was like nothing could stop him at all. Also, he did save me. There was that one time in Caelin when a ballista locked on her. When she soared the skies, one shot had hurt Huey, making her lose balance.

Florina was about to plummet to her doom when a pair of strong arms caught her. Before she fainted she met with his eyes. Strong and rather calm.

"Though I was scared of him," Florina whispered to herself. "I...miss him." The young knight has said as she had found and Inn and took her faithful friend to a stable for the knight.

The supply that Lyn wanted were going to take about three days to be ready and with the amount of money that was given to her, she could stay for a week. Unaware she was that a certain young rascal happened to remember her. The blonde thief left Cyprus and headed to Ostia.

"Boy," He said to himself, "won't Hector be surprised?"

I could practically go on this chapter, but I think I better stop here. Well, I hope you like the outcome of it right now. I would like to continue if people are interested. I thinking of maybe, if this story continues, to put a cameo of baby Roy! That would be so kawaii! Sorry, I love Roy and Eliwood and Matthew and Hector and Guy and Rath and Lucius and...well you get the point! Marth rules!
