Chapter 1: Death of a loved one
William: Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home?
Pashmina: I'm sure. I'll see you tomorrow.
It was 1 month after the X incident, as they called it, and William had offered to walk Pashmina
home.
Pashmina: It's just two blocks. Besides, you and Boss have to work on the clubhouse.
William: (sigh) You're right. See you tomorrow, I guess.
Pashmina: Seeya! Come on, Penelope!
Penelope: Ookyoo!
Pashmina and Penelope walk out, leaving William and Boss to finish remodeling the clubhouse.
William Sighs as he watches his girlfriend leave.
Boss: What's wrong with you? You seem upset.
William: It's just... it's just that I have a feeling something terrible is going to happen.
Boss: I'm sure it's just your imagination. I'm gonna go work on the back tunnels, so you can
start remodeling in here.
William: Okay.
Boss heads towards the back of the clubhouse. William takes a quick glance at the door before
starting his work.

Howdy: Dang, I forgot something at the clubhouse. I'm gonna have to go back.
Howdy and Dexter had left the clubohouse right before Pashmina did, and Howdy realized he had
left something behind.
Dexter: I'll go with you.
Dexter and Howdy turn around and head towards the clubhouse.

Pashmina: William? Is that you?
A hamster had suddenly seemed to rise from the ground in front of Pashmina. He looked exactly
like William, except for his eyes...
Pashmina: William?
?William?: You would rather die then have him die, wouldn't you?
Pashmina: What?
?William?: I heard you. On the bench, after I was defeated. Heh. Never thought I would come back,
did you? Thought I was dead. Not quite. Still alive. YOU won't be.
Pashmina: William, what's wrong with you?
Penelope: Ookwee?
?William?: Wrong? Everything wrong. I was beaten. I must make right. Get revenge. Kill you. It
will make him sad. Then I kill him. I have plan.
William's eyes start glowing a bright red and his left arm extends and wraps around Pashmina's
neck.He lifts her off the ground and Penelope backs away, frightened. He gets closer until their
faces are almost touching.
Pashmina: Let go of me! What are you doing, Will?
?William?: (voice gets deeper) Oh, but I'm NOT William. I X. This all part of plan. You'll see.
Howdy and Dexter show up and hide in the bushes when they see what is happening.
Howdy: (whispering) What's Will doin' to her?
Dexter: I don't know. Just be quiet.
Long claws pop out of X's right hand.
X: Time to make things right...
X thrusts his arm through her chest, impaling her. He pulls his arm back out of her and lets
her body fall to the ground.
Howdy and Dexter: NO!
Penelope: OOKYOO!
Dexter and Howdy run out of their hiding place and run towards X, ready to attack.
Dexter: WILLIAM! YOU TRAITOR!
Howdy: WE'LL GET YOU!
Dexter and Howdy try to punch him, but he dodges. He hits them both hard on the head hard, knocking
them out. He turns to Penelope.
X: And now for you...
Penelope: (crying) Ookyoo...
Before he can kill her, William jumps from a bush and kicks him in the side, knocking him over.
William: Don't even think about it!
X: (laughs) Too late. Your girl is dead.
X disapears into the ground, and William runs to Pashmina and picks her up.
William: Pashmina! Please speak to me...
Pashmina slowly opens her eyes and looks at William.
Pashmina: William...
William: (starts crying) Hold on... I'll get you some help...
Pashmina: No! William, there is no time. Listen, he'll be back for you and Penelope. You need
to take her and run. Get as far away from here as possible.
William: (crying) O-okay. Goodbye, Pashmina.
Pashmina: Goodbye. I love you...
Pashmina closes her eyes and dies in his arms. He holds the body close for a while, then lays
it down. It starts to rain, washing Pashmina's blood from his fur. He turns to Penelope, who is
crying on the ground. William kneels down next to her and wipes away her tears.
William: Penelope, X will be back for us. We need to get as far away from here as possible. Do
you understand?
Penelope nods. He picks her up and runs, not caring where he was going.
Damn you, he thought. I'll get you, X, if it's the last thing I do.
I'LL GET YOU.

The next day, Sandy was walking towards the clubhouse. She was using the opposite path of the
one where Pashmina got attacked, so she didn't see anything strange. When she reached the clubhouse,
however, she could tell something was wrong. There were several police hams in the room, and
all of the ham-hams looked upset.
Sandy: Like, what's going on?
Bijou runs to Sandy and hugs her, crying.
Bijou: Oh Sandy, it is terrible!
Sandy: Woah, calm down, girl! What's terrible?
Bijou: Pashmina is dead!
Sandy: What? But who...
Stan: (crying) You're "friend" William murdered her.
Sandy almost falls down in her shock, but Maxwell catches her.
Sandy: (starts crying) Wha? But... how... He would never do a thing like that!
Maxwell: I'm afraid he's right, Sandy. Howdy and Dexter saw it themselves.
Howdy and Dexter were in a corner, being questioned by a police ham.
Police ham: So you're certain it was him?
Dexter: We already told you, yes!
Howdy: It couldn't have been anyone else!
Sandy looks back at Maxwell.
Sandy: But then what, like happened to Penelope?
Maxwell: They think he kidnapped her.
No, she thought. I know he would never do something like that. He's a nice person. He helped
us. Now I have to help him.
She walks over to one of the Police Hams.
Sandy: Excuse me.
Police ham: Huh?
Sandy: Can I see the body?
Police ham: Uh, sure. Come with me.
He leads her out of the clubhouse and to a bodybag lying on a strecher. He leaves her with the
body and walks away. She unzips the bag and almost throws up when she sees Pashmina. She had a
gaping hole in her chest and blood was running down the sides of her fur.
There's no way Will could do something like this, she thought. This was done by some sort of
monster... what's this?
Sandy removes Pashmina's scarf and notices her neck is badly bruised, as if something was trying
to strangle her.
Sandy: That's weird...

William and Penelope had been running all night, so they stop to take a rest. William was a pretty
fast runner, so he had to carry Penelope the entire time so she wouldn't get left behind. He
looks over at her and notices she is very upset.
William: You miss her, don't you?
Penelope: Ookyoo.
William: Me too. You know, it's kinda creepy knowing X is still out there. But don't you worry,
I'm gonna protect you no matter what happens!
William picks up Penelope and runs off again.

It was five days since Pashmina had died, and William and Penelope had gotten pretty far from
the town.
William: Badabadabadabadabadabada.....
Penelope was in William's arms when she heard a loud BANG and was dropped to the ground. She
looked over to Will and he was kneeling, clutching his left arm. He removed his hand from his arm
and looked at it. It was covered in blood. He had been shot!
Police ham 1: FREEZE! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!
William ignored the pain in his arm and picked up Penelope. He ran, faster this time, away from
the cops. He heard sirens. The ham police were driving small cars!
William: Damnit! Ham police cars!
Ham police cars were basically RC cars with the controls put where the steering wheel would be.
They were surprisingly fast, so they had no problem catching up to him. One car pulled in front
of him, attempting to cut him off, but he jumped over it.
Why are they after me? What did I do? Wait... X looked like me when he killed Pashmina! And Dexter
and Howdy were knocked out before they could see it wasn't me!
The cars chase him to a small cliff, and get out and point their hamguns at him. He puts down Penelope.
Police ham 2: FREEZE! You're under arrest. Put your hands on your head and get down on the ground.
William: (laughs) I never give up when I set my mind to something. Go ahead and shoot if you
must.
Penelope: (crying and shaking head) Ookyoo!
William hears a gunshot and feels a sharp pain in his stomach. He stumbles back a bit and gets
shot four more times in the stomach, and he falls off the cliff. Penelope tries to grab him as
he falls, but he is too heavy and she gets pulled down also.
Penelope: OOKYOOOOO!
Police ham 3: Damn, she fell too!
Police ham 4: Everyone! Get down there and search for bodies!

Oxnard was running towards the clubhouse. He had just heard very important news. He burst through
the door.
Oxnard: YOUGUYSIJUSTHEARDTHATWILLANDPENELOPEAREDEADANDTHEYHAVEN'TFOUNDANYBODIESYETB UTTHEYFELLOFFACLIFFAND...
Hamtaro: Woah, calm down Oxy! What's wrong?
Oxnard: William and Penelope are dead! They fell off a cliff! They haven't found any bodies yet,
but no one could have survived that fall!

June and Kylie had been searching all week for their hamsters. They both even put up MISSING
posters.
June: I wonder why they keep on getting out.
Kylie: I wonder HOW they keep on getting out.
June and Kylie continue to put posters on basically everything they could find.

Penelope had been searching everywhere for William. When she had fallen, she used her blanket
as a parachute. She was starting to lose hope of ever finding him again. Then she saw something
standing in front of her, holding a hamgun.
???: Duck!
Penelope did as she was told, and heard the gun fire twice. She turned around and saw a snake
lying on the ground, dead.
???: Can't you cityslickers even tell when there's a snake behind you? Sheesh!
Penelope: Ookwee?
The hamster was white and light brown, with curly brown hair. She was wearing a red bandana.
???: You shouldn't be out here by yourself, considerin' what's been goin' on lately. What's your
name?
Penelope: Ookyoo.
???: Oh, you're just a baby. I guess you're gonna have to come with me, then. By the way, my name's
Pepper.
They walk for a while , and then Pepper turns to Penelope.
Pepper: You know, you're not the first ham I've found. Just yesterday I found a hamster floating
through the river. Poor thing was shot! He's at my place.
Penelope: Ookyoo?
As they walk away, Penelope gives a quick glance to the snake. When she turns back, however,
the snake gets up, hisses, and disapears into the ground.

They couldn't be dead, Sandy thought. They just couldn't be. I know William is innocent. He couldn't
just die like that, could he?
Sandy was sitting on the hilltop with Maxwell. He looked over and saw she was upset.
Maxwell: You seem troubled.
Sandy: Wha? Oh, it's just that I'm upset that Will and Penelope are dead.
Maxwell: Me too. Well, the Penelope part, anyway.
Sandy: Huh? What do you mean?
Maxwell: Well, it's kind of hard to miss a murderer...
Sandy became furious and turned to Maxwell.
Sandy: WILL'S INNOCENT! WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?! HONESTLY, YOU'RE SUCH A JERK SOMETIMES!
Sandy gets up and starts to walk away.
Maxwell: Sandy, wait!
Sandy: Just leave me alone.
Sandy walks away, leaving him alone on the hill.
Maxwell: ...what did I do?

I know he's alive, Sandy thought. I can just feel it! And Penelope too! I don't know why, but
I just know they're still alive!
Sandy was sitting in the clubhouse now, and she was the only one there, aside from Snoozer.
Sandy: What about you, Snooze? Do you think he killed her?
Snoozer: Will's innocent...
Sandy: Yes! I knew it!
Snoozer: It was an old enemy...
Sandy: What do you mean?
Snoozer: Zuzuzu...

It was one week after Pepper had found Penelope, and it turned out that the ham she had found
before was William. He was doing a lot better and could even walk again.
Pepper: You know, I forgot to ask you what you're name is.
William: My name's William.
Pepper: I know I've heard that name somewhere.... GAAAH! MURDERER!
Pepper grabs her hamgun and aims it at his head.

It was nighttime, and X was perched on a branch above the clubhouse, where no one could see him. He closed his eyes and remembered the day he was beaten...
"Not so fast!" A white field hamster grabbed onto one of his tentacles and was retracted. He stuck a lit match into X's stomach, and he exploded.
How could I have let that happen? X wondered. I was winning the fight. He was going to die, but he won. He beat me, the great X! Oh well. That was all in the past. I've got my revenge. And now I can successfully beat him, without having to worry about Boss holding me back. Good thing we separated. And now all of Will's friends think he's a murderer. I can't help but wonder, though, what does it feel like to have friends? Am I making the wrong decisions? ...no. I was created to destroy. My purpose is to destroy. And destroy is what I will do.

I won't believe it. I know he didn't do it. I know he isn't dead.
Boss was sitting in his room. He didn't believe that his friend William would ever kill anyone. He knew he didn't do it. He picked up a paper marked THE HAM HAM TIMES and once again read the headline. WILLIAM AND PENELOPE DEAD. He put it down and got up. He had to see the body. He walked through a tunnel he had dug, where at the end of it, they had buried Pashmina. Sandy, Howdy, Dexter, and Panda, who had built the coffin, were the only ones who had actually seen it. When he got there, however, someone was already there, digging up the body. Boss raised his shovel and hit the hamster on the head hard.
"Ow!" Maxwell yelled as the shovel hit his head hard. " What are YOU doing here?" "Me? What are YOU doing here?!" Boss said. "Well, actually, to be perfectly honest, I don't know. Something just made me come here." "You don't think he did it, do you?" "I don't know. We might as well take a look, though."
They continue to dig untill the coffin is visible, and then they pull it out. Boss uses his shovel to pry open the coffin, but once he can see inside he looks away.
"Maxwell, I think I'm gonna puke." "Geez. There's no way Will could do something like this."
"Just put it away."

Pepper started to pull the trigger, but Penelope pulled her arm away. William grabbed Pepper's arm and twisted it, causing her to drop the gun."
"Please don't kill me." "God, why does everyone think I'm a murderer?" "Because you are. You killed an innocent ham." William grabbed Pepper by her bandana and pulled her close to him. "SHUT UP! I DIDN'T KILL HER! I WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! I LOVED HER, OKAY? I LOVED HER MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE!" William started crying and let go of Pepper. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. It's just.... it's just I'm upset that everyone thinks I killed her. I loved her. And then that bastard showed up and killed her, and I saw her die. She died right in my arms, Pepper. Do you know what that feels like, to have the person you love more than anyone else in the world die right in front of you?"
Pepper looked into his eyes and knew he was telling the truth. She also started to cry. "Don't apologize. I should be the one who's sorry." "Ookyoo! Ookyoo!" Penelope was trying to warn them of something. Then William felt something metal press against his head. "Freeze! You're under arrest!" William turned around and punched the Police ham in the face, knocking him out. "Pepper, I'm going to have to leave now. I'm going back to town. I have to prove that I'm innocent." "How will you get there?" "I'll take this guy's police car." William took off the cop's belt and stapped it to his own waist. "Seeya, William." "Goodbye. Let's go, Penelope!"

Two days later, a hamster was walking through the woods, not caring where he was going.
"Like a rainbow in the darkness, A masterpiece unsigned, A hole with no donut, I drift, unchained and free... I'm a rebel free-range hamster seeking golden grains of truth. I'm a boat without an anchor, The fly that missed the swatter. I am my one moonlight, And brighten my own way." Jingle continued to walk untill he felt something strike him in the side. He was knocked over and he looked at what had attacked him. It was a white hamster, and he had glowing yellow eyes with red pupils and sharp claws. The hamster extended his arm and Jingle felt something impale him through the stomach.

Jingle looked down at his stomach to see that it was only the tips of the claws that had got him. Something had stopped the claw before it did any major damage. He looked back up and saw another hamster holding onto the first one's arm. They looked like twins! If it wasn't for the eyes and claws, he wouldn't be able to tell them apart. The normal looking one was holding onto the arm with one hand, his other one hanging limply at his side. The first one retracted his arm.
"So, you've come back." X said. "I've been waiting for you." "Well, you won't have to wait any longer. I'll kill you for what you did to Pashmina." William ran up to X and tried to kick him, but he dodged it and hit William on the back of the head. "You're weaker than I remember." "Shut up!" William tried to punch him, but he blocked it and punched Will in the stomach hard. William fell to his knees. "I could kill you right now, but I'm gonna let you live a while longer. Then I will kill you, and all the others." X disapeared again, and Penelope ran up to William. "Ookyoo?" "Yeah, I'm fine." William got up and looked over at Jingle. "Are you okay?" "Uh, yeah, I'm okay." "Good." William picked up Penelope and ran.

"I can't believe you three. Do you really think he would do something like that?" "Yes." Sandy was trying to convince Stan, Dexter, and Howdy that William was innocent. They wouldn't listen to her. Dexter and Howdy saw him kill Pashmina, and Stan never trusted him in the first place. "Listen, I know what you think you saw, but that couldn't have been him." Just then, the door swung open, and William and Penelope walked in. Most of the ham hams backed up against the wall, except for Maxwell, Sandy, and Boss. Howdy reached into his apron and pulled out a hamgun. "I'll get you, murderer!" Sandy used her ribbon to pull away the gun. "Stop it!" Sandy then ran over to William and hugged him. "I'm so glad to see you're alright."
"I'm glad to see you too, Sandy." William turned to the rest of the ham hams. "Okay, all of you who think I killed Pashmina, I wan't you to listen to me. I didn't do it. It was X."

William told the Ham Hams about what really happened, and most of them believed him, except for Howdy, Dexter, and Stan. "Oh come on, do you really believe that story?" Stan asked. "It's obvious he's lying." "Like, shut up, Stan. Don't worry, Will. I believe you." "So do we!" said all the Ham Hams except Dex, Howdy, and Stan. "Thanks, guys. I knew you had to believe me." "Hey, wait..." Maxwell said. "If X killed her, does that mean..." Maxwell looked over to Boss. "What? You think I did it?" "Well, you were X before." "Nah, It wasn't Boss." William said. "This X was different. It was definitely the same guy, but there was something different about him. I can't quite put my finger on it." "Ookyoo." William's expression suddenly turned sad. Boss looked over at him. He could see tears forming in the corners of his eyes. "What's wrong?" William looked back at Boss and dried the tears from his eyes. "Can I see her?"

I envy you, William. You have anything a ham could want. Well, you USED to. Then I came along and took your girlfriend from you. I killed her. Why? I don't know myself. Was it revenge? Perhaps not. Could I be jealous of you? Jealous of the fact you have a meaning in life? It could be. I was created as a test subject. Why do they always test things on animals first? It's cruel. Then again, maybe I'm cruel. I took the one you loved away from you. I killed her, and you saw her die. How does that feel, do have someone you love die? I will probably never know. I feel like I want to tell you how sorry I am, but something tells me to kill. Am I feeling love? Hate? What is this? What makes me kill? I know you can't hear me, William, but I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm going to have to kill you.

Boss left William alone with the body. As he held it, he had memories. Memories of when she was alive. She was the greatest person he had ever met. She was always nice to everyone, and she was also the most beautiful ham he had ever seen. How could anyone do a thing like this? He wondered. How could anyone do such a horrible thing? And to someone like Pashmina...
William put the body back in the coffin and buried it. He turned around and started to walk back towards the main room of the clubhouse. Once he got there, he walked towards Stan.
"Stan?" "What the hell do you want?" "Listen, I'm sorry about all that has happened. I know how you must feel..." Stan turned around and looked at William. For some reason, he felt like he could trust him... "No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I accused you." "No problem. It was an easy mistake. I just wish she were still here..." "She could come back...." "Huh?" All of the Ham Hams turned to Snoozer, who was asleep on the table. "What the heck are you talking about?" William asked. "I'm talking about the rainbow seed." "The... rainbow seed?" "The rainbow seed is a magical seed that glows with all the colors of the rainbow, and it can bring people back to life." William ran over to Snoozer and started shaking him with his one good arm. "Where can I find this seed?" "It's hidden inside of a large mountain called Rainbow Mountain. You're gonna have to find that on your own...zuzuzu..." William turned to the Ham Hams. "I'm going to try to find it. I'll need some help." Immediatly Howdy and Dexter backed up. "Oh no you don't, you two are coming with me. You've caused me lots of trouble." "Like, I'll go too!" Sandy said. "If sis is going, you can count on me helping too, hamdude." "Me too!" Said Boss. William turned to the rest of the Ham Hams. "We're gonna have to stay her for a while, just in case X comes looking for us. I need the rest of you guys to look after Penelope. Me and the others will leave tomorrow!"

"Hurry up, guys!" "Oh, stop rushing us. Do you even know where we're going?" William looked at Howdy and sweated anime style. "Actually, no, I have no idea." Everyone fell over anime style. "Hey, it's not my fault! Snoozer wouldn't tell me where it was." "Then how are we going to find it?" "Don't ask me... hey, what's that noise?" The Ham Hams all turned to the sound. "Hey, that's that guy I saved!" "Like, Jingle! Over here!" Jingle turned to them and walked over.
"Hamha, what's up... hey, it's you!" Jingle ran over to William and hugged him. ""Uh, nice to see you too?" "I never got the chance to thank you. You saved my life! If you ever need anything, just ask." "Actually, I do need some help. Do you know where a place called Rainbow Mountain is?" "Hmmm... yeah, it's a long, long way over there." Jingle said as he pointed to his right. "You have to keep on walking, probably for a few days, and then you'll come to a big hill. Climb the hill and you'll see Rainbow Mountain." "Gee, thanks! Come on, guys!" William and the others started running in the direction Jingle pointed.

"WHAT IS THIS?" X yelled as he started feeling intense pain in his head. A voice answered him. "I'm what you fear most. I am your good side." "What are you talking about? I have no good side! I AM X!" X started to split up. Another form of him seemed to be coming from his body, one a lot less evil. Finally, there were two. One that looked like like William with red eyes and claws, and one that looked like Boss, except pink. "What? How is this possible?" Said evil X. "I have been fighting for control for quite some time now. Once I was the dominant form, I was able to separate myself from you. And now I will stop you before you hurt any more people!" Good X charged towards Evil X, but EX dodged the attack and slashed him with his claws. EX charged at GX and slammed him to the ground. "You have forgotten something. Your good side comes from Boss, who is much weaker than me. Your power is equal to his."
"I don't care! I will try my best to stop you!" GX jumped back up and punched EX in the stomach, but it had no affect. "Wow. You're weaker than I thought. You're not even a blob, like me! You are solid. Meaning..." EX slammed GX to the ground and grabbed onto his head with both hands. "It's much easier to kill you." EX tore off GX's head with little effort and tossed it aside. EX ran his hand through the purple blood and used it to write a large X on the grass. Then he started to laugh. "HAH! WHO'S THE DOMINANT FORM NOW? NOW NOTHING WILL STOP ME FROM KILLING HIM! I'LL COME FOR YOU SOON WILLIAM, YOU'LL SEE! AND THEN I'LL KILL YOU AND ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS!"

One week later, William and the others had reached the hill Jingle was talking about. They had had some troubles, such as Cats and Snakes, but they managed to get through. "Hey, this must be it!" Said Boss. "Yeah!" Said Stan. "Now all we have to do is find Rainbow mountain." Just then, a storm started. "Aww man, now how are we going to get up there?" "Don't worry!" Said William. "Lightning strikes the highest point, and we're not very big." After an hour of climbing, the reached the top. The storm wasn't letting up, but they could just make out the shape of a large mountain about a mile ahead of them. "That must be it!" "Yeah, let's go!" "Like, totally!" They started to run towards it, but William felt something wrap around his foot and pull him back. "Look out!" Yelled Dexter. X rose up out of the ground behind William and pulled him towards him. "THIS ENDS NOW!"

"William! Look out!" William was pulled towards X. As he was dragged across the ground, he pulled
out the hamgun he stole and shot X in the arm, causing him to let go. William stood up. "I was
wondering when you were going to show up." "Well, I'm here now, aren't I? I'm gonna kill you, just
like I promised. Or maybe I'll kill your friends first and make you watch. How does that sound?

huh?" X didn't even seem to notice the attack. Before Boss could see what was coming, X punched
him in the stomach and knocked him out. Howdy and Dexter ran up on both sides of X and prepared
to attack. "I'll git you fer what you did to my darlin' Pashmina!" Before they could attack him, he grabbed
onto both of their heads and smashed them together. Dazed, they both fell down, and X grabbed onto
their feet. He ran foward to where Will was standing and smashed them against him. He dropped
them and punched William in the stomach, then he kneed Will in the face and he fell down. Stan
ran up to help. "Leave him alone, you monster!" "You should have stayed on my side, Stan. You could
have been strong, but now you're a weakling, just like the rest." Satn tried to punch X, but X
grabbed his fist and twisted his arm around, and Stan fell to his knees. "Now you will die."
X raised his claws, but before he could attack, William punched him in the face. X let go of
Stan and looked at William. "You are really getting on my nerves. Can't you see you are no match
for me? Even if your arm worked, you wouldn't stand a chance." X prepared to spear William, but
something wrapped around his arm and held him back. Sandy had used her ribbon to stop him. "Like,
I'll hold him back, Will!" "Sandy, no!" X jerked his arm foward and she got pulled towards him.
He grabbed her and slammed her to the ground, knocking her out. He turned back to William. "And
now for you..." X's arm turned into a tentacle and it wrapped around his neck. it began to tighten.
Soon, everything went black.

Is this heaven? It can't be. It's too dark. I always expected heaven to be a bright place...
William was now in some strange dark place. He couldn't see anything, as it was all blackness.
He saw something appearing in front of him. It was someone familiar.
"Pashmina!" William ran up to the form of his girlfriend, which just seemed to be floating in
mid air. "Yes, it's me, William." "Where are we? Is this heaven?" "No. Listen to me. You can't
just give up. It's not like you." "But how can I beat him? He's stronger than I am. And my arm..."
Pashmina floated to the ground and put her hand on his cheek. "You don't get it. YOu have the
greatest power in the world. The power of love. Nothing is more powerful than love. Remember
that..." Pashmina leaned over and kissed him. A vortex opened behind her, and she was drawn in.
"Remember that..." William reached out to her. "Pashmina! Come back!" She disapeared, and William
woke up.

"DIE!" X tightened his grip, but William grabbed onto his tentacle with both hands. His left
arm was working! "What?" William pulled on the tentacle and tore it off effortlessly. "You may
be the stronger fighter, but I have the power of love on my side. And it is my love for my friends
that will help me beat you!"

X was surprised. He never expected William's arm would just start working again. X's tentacle
grew back and he started to laugh. "Love? Who needs love when you've got POWER? Power is greater
than love!! I WILL SHOW YOU!" X ran towards William and tried to punch him, but William easily
blocked the attack. X tried to attack with his other arm, but William also blocked that one.
William kicked X in the stomach. "Why you..." X tried to kick him but he dodged it. Once X put
his arms back down, Will thrust his arm foward and it went through X's chest. "Remember this,
X? This is what you did to Pashmina. You killed her, and I will never forgive you for that."
William pulled his arm back out and let X drop to the ground. He put his foot on X's back to
make sure he couldn't escape. Then he bent down and picked up Boss's shovel. "This is it!"
William stuck the shovel deep through X's chest, pinning him to the ground. "You fool. What do
you expect that to do to me?" "Haven't you noticed that there's a storm?" X looked up at the
lightning. He figured out William's plan. "NO!" Lightning struck the handle of the shovel and
passed through X's body, frying him. X was dead. William fell to his knees, exhausted. The storm
stopped and a beautiful rainbow spread across the sky, seeming to stop on Rainbow mountain.
Will looked around and noticed Stan was the only one who hadn't been knocked out. "Hey Stan,
are you alright?" "Uh, yeah. What just happened?"

"I should have never let her go! What if she gets hurt?" "Oh, stop worrying yourself, Maxwell.
I'm sure she's fine. What I'm worried about is how upset Laura must be. I've been gone for a long
time." The Ham Hams had never left the clubhouse since they saw William last, on his orders. They
were told to look after Penelope. "I guess you're right, Hamtaro. I'm sure she's in good hands!"

"Well, the nightmare is over." Boss said as he looked at the charred body of X. "It's hard to
believe that guy used to BE me." "Like, how did your arm heal, Will?" "I don't know. It was weird.
It just started working again." "Well, at least our troubles are over." Dexter said. "Not yet.
We still have to climb Rainbow Mountain, and that looks like it's going to be pretty hard.I don't
think we'll be able to climb that. That's even big by human standards!" "Will." Sandy said.
"Together, we're unstoppable.." "Right." Said Stan. "We'll stick by you every step of the way!"
"Yeah!" "You can count on it!" "Thanks guys. Now come on! Let's find that seed!"

"How much longer?" Dexter asked as they hiked up the mountain. They had been climbing for hours,
and they seemed to be getting nowhere. "I'm sure it won't be too much longer." William lied. He
doubted they would ever reach the top. He felt like jumping off the cliff so he could be with
Pashmina, but he didn't give up. There was a faint flicker of hope in his heart, and he was doing
his best to turn it into a flame. Stan put a paw on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Hamdude. I'm sure
we'll make it." "Like, me too!" "And me three!" Said Boss. The flicker was like a campfire now,
burning in the pit in his heart that was made when Pashmina died. "I know we can do this! For
Pashmina! Love is more powerful than anything else, and my love will give me the courage to go
on!" William ran ahead with amazing speed, leaving behind a cloud of dust. "...woah." "Like,
totally."

Hours later, everyone else arrived at the top of the mountain to find William patiently sitting
on a rock. "About time you guys showed up. "How the (pant) hell did you do that, Hamdude?" "I
don't know. It's like some strange force possessed me. I was in control, but I was more powerful."
"That's like, totally weird." "So, have you found it yet?" "Yeah, over here." William led them
to a small opening in the ground. They went in and walked until they came to a small cavern. In
it there was a stone plaque in the middle of the room and a circle carved into the ground around
it. He led them to the cirle. "Stand here." He told them. He placed his hand on the plaque, and
the circle started to glow. Soon they disapeared.

They appeared in a bright place. It seemed almost like they were standing on a cloud. "William,
how did you do that?" Boss asked. "I don't know. I just knew what to do for some reason." He
walked over to another plaque. This one said BE WARNED, ONE CAN ONLY BE REVIVED ONCE. "Okay then."
He walked to a pedistal that had a sunflower seed on it that seemed to constantly be changing
color. "Like, is that the Rainbow seed?" Sandy asked. "I guess so." "I'll finally get to see
Pashmina again!" Howdy said. William circled it for a while, then stopped and stared at it.
"Yeah, this is definately it." "So how do you make it work?" William just stood there and said
"Bring Pashmina back to life." The Rainbow seed started to glow, and William backed up. Soon
Pashmina was standing there in front of him. "YEAH! IT WORKED!" Yelled Howdy and Dexter. "Pashmina!"
said Stan. Pashmina and William just stared at eachother, both too happy to say anything. They
ran foward and hugged eachother, crying tears of joy. "It's moments like these that bring a tear
to my eye..." Boss said, also crying. Soon they started to disapear again, William and Pashmina
not caring where they were going, as long as they were together...

William and the others reappeared in the Ham ham clubhouse. The Ham hams ran over to them.
"You did it!" Yelled Cappy. "OOKYOO!" Penelope ran up to Pashmina and hugged her. "I missed you
too, Penelope! I missed you all!" "And William defeated X!" Boss yelled. "So everything's alright
again?" Asked Panda. "For now, yes. But I have a bad feeling..." All of the Ham hams looked at
William. "Heke? What do you mean? You beat X, didn't you?" "Yeah, but when you really think about it,
for every enemy there is, there's one that's even stronger."

"It's to bad you have to go home." William said. He was walking Pashmina home. He would never
let her go home alone again, after what had happened. "It just doesn't seem like we had enough time
together since you've come back." "I know, but June must miss me. I don't want her to get upset."
"Yeah, you're right. I'll pick you up here tomorrow, then." "Yeah." They came to June's house,
and Pashmina kissed him. "You were really good up on that hill." "Huh?" "I saw the whole thing.
Remember what I told you?" "Yeah. Nothing is more powerful than love. Those are words I'll live
by for the rest of my life." "And don't you forget it! Bye-Q!" William watched as she climbed
up the drain pipe and disapeared from view. He turned back and started walking towards the clubhouse,
unaware of the eyes watching him from a tree.
Not much longer now, William, thought the cloaked figure. I've seen your fighting style, and now
I know what to expect. You won't be a challenge. Even with your so-called "power of love" you
won't be able to defeat me. Why? Let's just say I know more about you than you think. I'll keep
away for now, but soon I'll strike. SOON.

Chapter 1: Death of a loved one
William: Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home?
Pashmina: I'm sure. I'll see you tomorrow.
It was 1 month after the X incident, as they called it, and William had offered to walk Pashmina
home.
Pashmina: It's just two blocks. Besides, you and Boss have to work on the clubhouse.
William: (sigh) You're right. See you tomorrow, I guess.
Pashmina: Seeya! Come on, Penelope!
Penelope: Ookyoo!
Pashmina and Penelope walk out, leaving William and Boss to finish remodeling the clubhouse.
William Sighs as he watches his girlfriend leave.
Boss: What's wrong with you? You seem upset.
William: It's just... it's just that I have a feeling something terrible is going to happen.
Boss: I'm sure it's just your imagination. I'm gonna go work on the back tunnels, so you can
start remodeling in here.
William: Okay.
Boss heads towards the back of the clubhouse. William takes a quick glance at the door before
starting his work.

Howdy: Dang, I forgot something at the clubhouse. I'm gonna have to go back.
Howdy and Dexter had left the clubohouse right before Pashmina did, and Howdy realized he had
left something behind.
Dexter: I'll go with you.
Dexter and Howdy turn around and head towards the clubhouse.

Pashmina: William? Is that you?
A hamster had suddenly seemed to rise from the ground in front of Pashmina. He looked exactly
like William, except for his eyes...
Pashmina: William?
?William?: You would rather die then have him die, wouldn't you?
Pashmina: What?
?William?: I heard you. On the bench, after I was defeated. Heh. Never thought I would come back,
did you? Thought I was dead. Not quite. Still alive. YOU won't be.
Pashmina: William, what's wrong with you?
Penelope: Ookwee?
?William?: Wrong? Everything wrong. I was beaten. I must make right. Get revenge. Kill you. It
will make him sad. Then I kill him. I have plan.
William's eyes start glowing a bright red and his left arm extends and wraps around Pashmina's
neck.He lifts her off the ground and Penelope backs away, frightened. He gets closer until their
faces are almost touching.
Pashmina: Let go of me! What are you doing, Will?
?William?: (voice gets deeper) Oh, but I'm NOT William. I X. This all part of plan. You'll see.
Howdy and Dexter show up and hide in the bushes when they see what is happening.
Howdy: (whispering) What's Will doin' to her?
Dexter: I don't know. Just be quiet.
Long claws pop out of X's right hand.
X: Time to make things right...
X thrusts his arm through her chest, impaling her. He pulls his arm back out of her and lets
her body fall to the ground.
Howdy and Dexter: NO!
Penelope: OOKYOO!
Dexter and Howdy run out of their hiding place and run towards X, ready to attack.
Dexter: WILLIAM! YOU TRAITOR!
Howdy: WE'LL GET YOU!
Dexter and Howdy try to punch him, but he dodges. He hits them both hard on the head hard, knocking
them out. He turns to Penelope.
X: And now for you...
Penelope: (crying) Ookyoo...
Before he can kill her, William jumps from a bush and kicks him in the side, knocking him over.
William: Don't even think about it!
X: (laughs) Too late. Your girl is dead.
X disapears into the ground, and William runs to Pashmina and picks her up.
William: Pashmina! Please speak to me...
Pashmina slowly opens her eyes and looks at William.
Pashmina: William...
William: (starts crying) Hold on... I'll get you some help...
Pashmina: No! William, there is no time. Listen, he'll be back for you and Penelope. You need
to take her and run. Get as far away from here as possible.
William: (crying) O-okay. Goodbye, Pashmina.
Pashmina: Goodbye. I love you...
Pashmina closes her eyes and dies in his arms. He holds the body close for a while, then lays
it down. It starts to rain, washing Pashmina's blood from his fur. He turns to Penelope, who is
crying on the ground. William kneels down next to her and wipes away her tears.
William: Penelope, X will be back for us. We need to get as far away from here as possible. Do
you understand?
Penelope nods. He picks her up and runs, not caring where he was going.
Damn you, he thought. I'll get you, X, if it's the last thing I do.
I'LL GET YOU.

The next day, Sandy was walking towards the clubhouse. She was using the opposite path of the
one where Pashmina got attacked, so she didn't see anything strange. When she reached the clubhouse,
however, she could tell something was wrong. There were several police hams in the room, and
all of the ham-hams looked upset.
Sandy: Like, what's going on?
Bijou runs to Sandy and hugs her, crying.
Bijou: Oh Sandy, it is terrible!
Sandy: Woah, calm down, girl! What's terrible?
Bijou: Pashmina is dead!
Sandy: What? But who...
Stan: (crying) You're "friend" William murdered her.
Sandy almost falls down in her shock, but Maxwell catches her.
Sandy: (starts crying) Wha? But... how... He would never do a thing like that!
Maxwell: I'm afraid he's right, Sandy. Howdy and Dexter saw it themselves.
Howdy and Dexter were in a corner, being questioned by a police ham.
Police ham: So you're certain it was him?
Dexter: We already told you, yes!
Howdy: It couldn't have been anyone else!
Sandy looks back at Maxwell.
Sandy: But then what, like happened to Penelope?
Maxwell: They think he kidnapped her.
No, she thought. I know he would never do something like that. He's a nice person. He helped
us. Now I have to help him.
She walks over to one of the Police Hams.
Sandy: Excuse me.
Police ham: Huh?
Sandy: Can I see the body?
Police ham: Uh, sure. Come with me.
He leads her out of the clubhouse and to a bodybag lying on a strecher. He leaves her with the
body and walks away. She unzips the bag and almost throws up when she sees Pashmina. She had a
gaping hole in her chest and blood was running down the sides of her fur.
There's no way Will could do something like this, she thought. This was done by some sort of
monster... what's this?
Sandy removes Pashmina's scarf and notices her neck is badly bruised, as if something was trying
to strangle her.
Sandy: That's weird...

William and Penelope had been running all night, so they stop to take a rest. William was a pretty
fast runner, so he had to carry Penelope the entire time so she wouldn't get left behind. He
looks over at her and notices she is very upset.
William: You miss her, don't you?
Penelope: Ookyoo.
William: Me too. You know, it's kinda creepy knowing X is still out there. But don't you worry,
I'm gonna protect you no matter what happens!
William picks up Penelope and runs off again.

It was five days since Pashmina had died, and William and Penelope had gotten pretty far from
the town.
William: Badabadabadabadabadabada.....
Penelope was in William's arms when she heard a loud BANG and was dropped to the ground. She
looked over to Will and he was kneeling, clutching his left arm. He removed his hand from his arm
and looked at it. It was covered in blood. He had been shot!
Police ham 1: FREEZE! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!
William ignored the pain in his arm and picked up Penelope. He ran, faster this time, away from
the cops. He heard sirens. The ham police were driving small cars!
William: Damnit! Ham police cars!
Ham police cars were basically RC cars with the controls put where the steering wheel would be.
They were surprisingly fast, so they had no problem catching up to him. One car pulled in front
of him, attempting to cut him off, but he jumped over it.
Why are they after me? What did I do? Wait... X looked like me when he killed Pashmina! And Dexter
and Howdy were knocked out before they could see it wasn't me!
The cars chase him to a small cliff, and get out and point their hamguns at him. He puts down Penelope.
Police ham 2: FREEZE! You're under arrest. Put your hands on your head and get down on the ground.
William: (laughs) I never give up when I set my mind to something. Go ahead and shoot if you
must.
Penelope: (crying and shaking head) Ookyoo!
William hears a gunshot and feels a sharp pain in his stomach. He stumbles back a bit and gets
shot four more times in the stomach, and he falls off the cliff. Penelope tries to grab him as
he falls, but he is too heavy and she gets pulled down also.
Penelope: OOKYOOOOO!
Police ham 3: Damn, she fell too!
Police ham 4: Everyone! Get down there and search for bodies!

Oxnard was running towards the clubhouse. He had just heard very important news. He burst through
the door.

Hamtaro: Woah, calm down Oxy! What's wrong?
Oxnard: William and Penelope are dead! They fell off a cliff! They haven't found any bodies yet,
but no one could have survived that fall!

June and Kylie had been searching all week for their hamsters. They both even put up MISSING
posters.
June: I wonder why they keep on getting out.
Kylie: I wonder HOW they keep on getting out.
June and Kylie continue to put posters on basically everything they could find.

Penelope had been searching everywhere for William. When she had fallen, she used her blanket
as a parachute. She was starting to lose hope of ever finding him again. Then she saw something
standing in front of her, holding a hamgun.
???: Duck!
Penelope did as she was told, and heard the gun fire twice. She turned around and saw a snake
lying on the ground, dead.
???: Can't you cityslickers even tell when there's a snake behind you? Sheesh!
Penelope: Ookwee?
The hamster was white and light brown, with curly brown hair. She was wearing a red bandana.
???: You shouldn't be out here by yourself, considerin' what's been goin' on lately. What's your
name?
Penelope: Ookyoo.
???: Oh, you're just a baby. I guess you're gonna have to come with me, then. By the way, my name's
Pepper.
They walk for a while , and then Pepper turns to Penelope.
Pepper: You know, you're not the first ham I've found. Just yesterday I found a hamster floating
through the river. Poor thing was shot! He's at my place.
Penelope: Ookyoo?
As they walk away, Penelope gives a quick glance to the snake. When she turns back, however,
the snake gets up, hisses, and disapears into the ground.

They couldn't be dead, Sandy thought. They just couldn't be. I know William is innocent. He couldn't
just die like that, could he?
Sandy was sitting on the hilltop with Maxwell. He looked over and saw she was upset.
Maxwell: You seem troubled.
Sandy: Wha? Oh, it's just that I'm upset that Will and Penelope are dead.
Maxwell: Me too. Well, the Penelope part, anyway.
Sandy: Huh? What do you mean?
Maxwell: Well, it's kind of hard to miss a murderer...
Sandy became furious and turned to Maxwell.
Sandy: WILL'S INNOCENT! WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?! HONESTLY, YOU'RE SUCH A JERK SOMETIMES!
Sandy gets up and starts to walk away.
Maxwell: Sandy, wait!
Sandy: Just leave me alone.
Sandy walks away, leaving him alone on the hill.
Maxwell: ...what did I do?

I know he's alive, Sandy thought. I can just feel it! And Penelope too! I don't know why, but
I just know they're still alive!
Sandy was sitting in the clubhouse now, and she was the only one there, aside from Snoozer.
Sandy: What about you, Snooze? Do you think he killed her?
Snoozer: Will's innocent...
Sandy: Yes! I knew it!
Snoozer: It was an old enemy...
Sandy: What do you mean?
Snoozer: Zuzuzu...

It was one week after Pepper had found Penelope, and it turned out that the ham she had found
before was William. He was doing a lot better and could even walk again.
Pepper: You know, I forgot to ask you what you're name is.
William: My name's William.
Pepper: I know I've heard that name somewhere.... GAAAH! MURDERER!
Pepper grabs her hamgun and aims it at his head.

It was nighttime, and X was perched on a branch above the clubhouse, where no one could see him. He closed his eyes and remembered the day he was beaten...
"Not so fast!" A white field hamster grabbed onto one of his tentacles and was retracted. He stuck a lit match into X's stomach, and he exploded.
How could I have let that happen? X wondered. I was winning the fight. He was going to die, but he won. He beat me, the great X! Oh well. That was all in the past. I've got my revenge. And now I can successfully beat him, without having to worry about Boss holding me back. Good thing we separated. And now all of Will's friends think he's a murderer. I can't help but wonder, though, what does it feel like to have friends? Am I making the wrong decisions? ...no. I was created to destroy. My purpose is to destroy. And destroy is what I will do.

I won't believe it. I know he didn't do it. I know he isn't dead.
Boss was sitting in his room. He didn't believe that his friend William would ever kill anyone. He knew he didn't do it. He picked up a paper marked THE HAM HAM TIMES and once again read the headline. WILLIAM AND PENELOPE DEAD. He put it down and got up. He had to see the body. He walked through a tunnel he had dug, where at the end of it, they had buried Pashmina. Sandy, Howdy, Dexter, and Panda, who had built the coffin, were the only ones who had actually seen it. When he got there, however, someone was already there, digging up the body. Boss raised his shovel and hit the hamster on the head hard.
"Ow!" Maxwell yelled as the shovel hit his head hard. " What are YOU doing here?" "Me? What are YOU doing here?!" Boss said. "Well, actually, to be perfectly honest, I don't know. Something just made me come here." "You don't think he did it, do you?" "I don't know. We might as well take a look, though."
They continue to dig untill the coffin is visible, and then they pull it out. Boss uses his shovel to pry open the coffin, but once he can see inside he looks away.
"Maxwell, I think I'm gonna puke." "Geez. There's no way Will could do something like this."
"Just put it away."

Pepper started to pull the trigger, but Penelope pulled her arm away. William grabbed Pepper's arm and twisted it, causing her to drop the gun."
"Please don't kill me." "God, why does everyone think I'm a murderer?" "Because you are. You killed an innocent ham." William grabbed Pepper by her bandana and pulled her close to him. "SHUT UP! I DIDN'T KILL HER! I WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! I LOVED HER, OKAY? I LOVED HER MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE!" William started crying and let go of Pepper. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. It's just.... it's just I'm upset that everyone thinks I killed her. I loved her. And then that bastard showed up and killed her, and I saw her die. She died right in my arms, Pepper. Do you know what that feels like, to have the person you love more than anyone else in the world die right in front of you?"
Pepper looked into his eyes and knew he was telling the truth. She also started to cry. "Don't apologize. I should be the one who's sorry." "Ookyoo! Ookyoo!" Penelope was trying to warn them of something. Then William felt something metal press against his head. "Freeze! You're under arrest!" William turned around and punched the Police ham in the face, knocking him out. "Pepper, I'm going to have to leave now. I'm going back to town. I have to prove that I'm innocent." "How will you get there?" "I'll take this guy's police car." William took off the cop's belt and stapped it to his own waist. "Seeya, William." "Goodbye. Let's go, Penelope!"

Two days later, a hamster was walking through the woods, not caring where he was going.
"Like a rainbow in the darkness, A masterpiece unsigned, A hole with no donut, I drift, unchained and free... I'm a rebel free-range hamster seeking golden grains of truth. I'm a boat without an anchor, The fly that missed the swatter. I am my one moonlight, And brighten my own way." Jingle continued to walk untill he felt something strike him in the side. He was knocked over and he looked at what had attacked him. It was a white hamster, and he had glowing yellow eyes with red pupils and sharp claws. The hamster extended his arm and Jingle felt something impale him through the stomach.

Jingle looked down at his stomach to see that it was only the tips of the claws that had got him. Something had stopped the claw before it did any major damage. He looked back up and saw another hamster holding onto the first one's arm. They looked like twins! If it wasn't for the eyes and claws, he wouldn't be able to tell them apart. The normal looking one was holding onto the arm with one hand, his other one hanging limply at his side. The first one retracted his arm.
"So, you've come back." X said. "I've been waiting for you." "Well, you won't have to wait any longer. I'll kill you for what you did to Pashmina." William ran up to X and tried to kick him, but he dodged it and hit William on the back of the head. "You're weaker than I remember." "Shut up!" William tried to punch him, but he blocked it and punched Will in the stomach hard. William fell to his knees. "I could kill you right now, but I'm gonna let you live a while longer. Then I will kill you, and all the others." X disapeared again, and Penelope ran up to William. "Ookyoo?" "Yeah, I'm fine." William got up and looked over at Jingle. "Are you okay?" "Uh, yeah, I'm okay." "Good." William picked up Penelope and ran.

"I can't believe you three. Do you really think he would do something like that?" "Yes." Sandy was trying to convince Stan, Dexter, and Howdy that William was innocent. They wouldn't listen to her. Dexter and Howdy saw him kill Pashmina, and Stan never trusted him in the first place. "Listen, I know what you think you saw, but that couldn't have been him." Just then, the door swung open, and William and Penelope walked in. Most of the ham hams backed up against the wall, except for Maxwell, Sandy, and Boss. Howdy reached into his apron and pulled out a hamgun. "I'll get you, murderer!" Sandy used her ribbon to pull away the gun. "Stop it!" Sandy then ran over to William and hugged him. "I'm so glad to see you're alright."
"I'm glad to see you too, Sandy." William turned to the rest of the ham hams. "Okay, all of you who think I killed Pashmina, I wan't you to listen to me. I didn't do it. It was X."

William told the Ham Hams about what really happened, and most of them believed him, except for Howdy, Dexter, and Stan. "Oh come on, do you really believe that story?" Stan asked. "It's obvious he's lying." "Like, shut up, Stan. Don't worry, Will. I believe you." "So do we!" said all the Ham Hams except Dex, Howdy, and Stan. "Thanks, guys. I knew you had to believe me." "Hey, wait..." Maxwell said. "If X killed her, does that mean..." Maxwell looked over to Boss. "What? You think I did it?" "Well, you were X before." "Nah, It wasn't Boss." William said. "This X was different. It was definitely the same guy, but there was something different about him. I can't quite put my finger on it." "Ookyoo." William's expression suddenly turned sad. Boss looked over at him. He could see tears forming in the corners of his eyes. "What's wrong?" William looked back at Boss and dried the tears from his eyes. "Can I see her?"

Boss left William alone with the body. As he held it, he had memories. Memories of when she was alive. She was the greatest person he had ever met. She was always nice to everyone, and she was also the most beautiful ham he had ever seen. How could anyone do a thing like this? He wondered. How could anyone do such a horrible thing? And to someone like Pashmina...
William put the body back in the coffin and buried it. He turned around and started to walk back towards the main room of the clubhouse. Once he got there, he walked towards Stan.
"Stan?" "What the hell do you want?" "Listen, I'm sorry about all that has happened. I know how you must feel..." Stan turned around and looked at William. For some reason, he felt like he could trust him... "No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I accused you." "No problem. It was an easy mistake. I just wish she were still here..." "She could come back...." "Huh?" All of the Ham Hams turned to Snoozer, who was asleep on the table. "What the heck are you talking about?" William asked. "I'm talking about the rainbow seed." "The... rainbow seed?" "The rainbow seed is a magical seed that glows with all the colors of the rainbow, and it can bring people back to life." William ran over to Snoozer and started shaking him with his one good arm. "Where can I find this seed?" "It's hidden inside of a large mountain called Rainbow Mountain. You're gonna have to find that on your own...zuzuzu..." William turned to the Ham Hams. "I'm going to try to find it. I'll need some help." Immediatly Howdy and Dexter backed up. "Oh no you don't, you two are coming with me. You've caused me lots of trouble." "Like, I'll go too!" Sandy said. "If sis is going, you can count on me helping too, hamdude." "Me too!" Said Boss. William turned to the rest of the Ham Hams. "We're gonna have to stay her for a while, just in case X comes looking for us. I need the rest of you guys to look after Penelope. Me and the others will leave tomorrow!"

"Hurry up, guys!" "Oh, stop rushing us. Do you even know where we're going?" William looked at Howdy and sweated anime style. "Actually, no, I have no idea." Everyone fell over anime style. "Hey, it's not my fault! Snoozer wouldn't tell me where it was." "Then how are we going to find it?" "Don't ask me... hey, what's that noise?" The Ham Hams all turned to the sound. "Hey, that's that guy I saved!" "Like, Jingle! Over here!" Jingle turned to them and walked over.
"Hamha, what's up... hey, it's you!" Jingle ran over to William and hugged him. ""Uh, nice to see you too?" "I never got the chance to thank you. You saved my life! If you ever need anything, just ask." "Actually, I do need some help. Do you know where a place called Rainbow Mountain is?" "Hmmm... yeah, it's a long, long way over there." Jingle said as he pointed to his right. "You have to keep on walking, probably for a few days, and then you'll come to a big hill. Climb the hill and you'll see Rainbow Mountain." "Gee, thanks! Come on, guys!" William and the others started running in the direction Jingle pointed.

"WHAT IS THIS?" X yelled as he started feeling intense pain in his head. A voice answered him. "I'm what you fear most. I am your good side." "What are you talking about? I have no good side! I AM X!" X started to split up. Another form of him seemed to be coming from his body, one a lot less evil. Finally, there were two. One that looked like like William with red eyes and claws, and one that looked like Boss, except pink. "What? How is this possible?" Said evil X. "I have been fighting for control for quite some time now. Once I was the dominant form, I was able to separate myself from you. And now I will stop you before you hurt any more people!" Good X charged towards Evil X, but EX dodged the attack and slashed him with his claws. EX charged at GX and slammed him to the ground. "You have forgotten something. Your good side comes from Boss, who is much weaker than me. Your power is equal to his."
"I don't care! I will try my best to stop you!" GX jumped back up and punched EX in the stomach, but it had no affect. "Wow. You're weaker than I thought. You're not even a blob, like me! You are solid. Meaning..." EX slammed GX to the ground and grabbed onto his head with both hands. "It's much easier to kill you." EX tore off GX's head with little effort and tossed it aside. EX ran his hand through the purple blood and used it to write a large X on the grass. Then he started to laugh. "HAH! WHO'S THE DOMINANT FORM NOW? NOW NOTHING WILL STOP ME FROM KILLING HIM! I'LL COME FOR YOU SOON WILLIAM, YOU'LL SEE! AND THEN I'LL KILL YOU AND ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS!"

One week later, William and the others had reached the hill Jingle was talking about. They had had some troubles, such as Cats and Snakes, but they managed to get through. "Hey, this must be it!" Said Boss. "Yeah!" Said Stan. "Now all we have to do is find Rainbow mountain." Just then, a storm started. "Aww man, now how are we going to get up there?" "Don't worry!" Said William. "Lightning strikes the highest point, and we're not very big." After an hour of climbing, the reached the top. The storm wasn't letting up, but they could just make out the shape of a large mountain about a mile ahead of them. "That must be it!" "Yeah, let's go!" "Like, totally!" They started to run towards it, but William felt something wrap around his foot and pull him back. "Look out!" Yelled Dexter. X rose up out of the ground behind William and pulled him towards him. "THIS ENDS NOW!"

"William! Look out!" William was pulled towards X. As he was dragged across the ground, he pulled
out the hamgun he stole and shot X in the arm, causing him to let go. William stood up. "I was
wondering when you were going to show up." "Well, I'm here now, aren't I? I'm gonna kill you, just
like I promised. Or maybe I'll kill your friends first and make you watch. How does that sound?
Deja vu, huh?" Just as he said that, Boss ran up and whacked him with his shovel. "Take that, you....
huh?" X didn't even seem to notice the attack. Before Boss could see what was coming, X punched
him in the stomach and knocked him out. Howdy and Dexter ran up on both sides of X and prepared
to attack. "I'll git you fer what you did to my darlin' Pashmina!" Before they could attack him, he grabbed
onto both of their heads and smashed them together. Dazed, they both fell down, and X grabbed onto
their feet. He ran foward to where Will was standing and smashed them against him. He dropped
them and punched William in the stomach, then he kneed Will in the face and he fell down. Stan
ran up to help. "Leave him alone, you monster!" "You should have stayed on my side, Stan. You could
have been strong, but now you're a weakling, just like the rest." Satn tried to punch X, but X
grabbed his fist and twisted his arm around, and Stan fell to his knees. "Now you will die."
X raised his claws, but before he could attack, William punched him in the face. X let go of
Stan and looked at William. "You are really getting on my nerves. Can't you see you are no match
for me? Even if your arm worked, you wouldn't stand a chance." X prepared to spear William, but
something wrapped around his arm and held him back. Sandy had used her ribbon to stop him. "Like,
I'll hold him back, Will!" "Sandy, no!" X jerked his arm foward and she got pulled towards him.
He grabbed her and slammed her to the ground, knocking her out. He turned back to William. "And
now for you..." X's arm turned into a tentacle and it wrapped around his neck. it began to tighten.
Soon, everything went black.

Is this heaven? It can't be. It's too dark. I always expected heaven to be a bright place...
William was now in some strange dark place. He couldn't see anything, as it was all blackness.
He saw something appearing in front of him. It was someone familiar.
"Pashmina!" William ran up to the form of his girlfriend, which just seemed to be floating in
mid air. "Yes, it's me, William." "Where are we? Is this heaven?" "No. Listen to me. You can't
just give up. It's not like you." "But how can I beat him? He's stronger than I am. And my arm..."
Pashmina floated to the ground and put her hand on his cheek. "You don't get it. YOu have the
greatest power in the world. The power of love. Nothing is more powerful than love. Remember
that..." Pashmina leaned over and kissed him. A vortex opened behind her, and she was drawn in.
"Remember that..." William reached out to her. "Pashmina! Come back!" She disapeared, and William
woke up.

"DIE!" X tightened his grip, but William grabbed onto his tentacle with both hands. His left
arm was working! "What?" William pulled on the tentacle and tore it off effortlessly. "You may
be the stronger fighter, but I have the power of love on my side. And it is my love for my friends
that will help me beat you!"

X was surprised. He never expected William's arm would just start working again. X's tentacle
grew back and he started to laugh. "Love? Who needs love when you've got POWER? Power is greater
than love!! I WILL SHOW YOU!" X ran towards William and tried to punch him, but William easily
blocked the attack. X tried to attack with his other arm, but William also blocked that one.
William kicked X in the stomach. "Why you..." X tried to kick him but he dodged it. Once X put
his arms back down, Will thrust his arm foward and it went through X's chest. "Remember this,
X? This is what you did to Pashmina. You killed her, and I will never forgive you for that."
William pulled his arm back out and let X drop to the ground. He put his foot on X's back to
make sure he couldn't escape. Then he bent down and picked up Boss's shovel. "This is it!"
William stuck the shovel deep through X's chest, pinning him to the ground. "You fool. What do
you expect that to do to me?" "Haven't you noticed that there's a storm?" X looked up at the
lightning. He figured out William's plan. "NO!" Lightning struck the handle of the shovel and
passed through X's body, frying him. X was dead. William fell to his knees, exhausted. The storm
stopped and a beautiful rainbow spread across the sky, seeming to stop on Rainbow mountain.
Will looked around and noticed Stan was the only one who hadn't been knocked out. "Hey Stan,
are you alright?" "Uh, yeah. What just happened?"

"I should have never let her go! What if she gets hurt?" "Oh, stop worrying yourself, Maxwell.
I'm sure she's fine. What I'm worried about is how upset Laura must be. I've been gone for a long
time." The Ham Hams had never left the clubhouse since they saw William last, on his orders. They
were told to look after Penelope. "I guess you're right, Hamtaro. I'm sure she's in good hands!"

"Well, the nightmare is over." Boss said as he looked at the charred body of X. "It's hard to
believe that guy used to BE me." "Like, how did your arm heal, Will?" "I don't know. It was weird.
It just started working again." "Well, at least our troubles are over." Dexter said. "Not yet.
We still have to climb Rainbow Mountain, and that looks like it's going to be pretty hard.I don't
think we'll be able to climb that. That's even big by human standards!" "Will." Sandy said.
"Together, we're unstoppable.." "Right." Said Stan. "We'll stick by you every step of the way!"
"Yeah!" "You can count on it!" "Thanks guys. Now come on! Let's find that seed!"

"How much longer?" Dexter asked as they hiked up the mountain. They had been climbing for hours,
and they seemed to be getting nowhere. "I'm sure it won't be too much longer." William lied. He
doubted they would ever reach the top. He felt like jumping off the cliff so he could be with
Pashmina, but he didn't give up. There was a faint flicker of hope in his heart, and he was doing
his best to turn it into a flame. Stan put a paw on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Hamdude. I'm sure
we'll make it." "Like, me too!" "And me three!" Said Boss. The flicker was like a campfire now,
burning in the pit in his heart that was made when Pashmina died. "I know we can do this! For
Pashmina! Love is more powerful than anything else, and my love will give me the courage to go
on!" William ran ahead with amazing speed, leaving behind a cloud of dust. "...woah." "Like,
totally."

Hours later, everyone else arrived at the top of the mountain to find William patiently sitting
on a rock. "About time you guys showed up. "How the (pant) hell did you do that, Hamdude?" "I
don't know. It's like some strange force possessed me. I was in control, but I was more powerful."
"That's like, totally weird." "So, have you found it yet?" "Yeah, over here." William led them
to a small opening in the ground. They went in and walked until they came to a small cavern. In
it there was a stone plaque in the middle of the room and a circle carved into the ground around
it. He led them to the cirle. "Stand here." He told them. He placed his hand on the plaque, and
the circle started to glow. Soon they disapeared.

They appeared in a bright place. It seemed almost like they were standing on a cloud. "William,
how did you do that?" Boss asked. "I don't know. I just knew what to do for some reason." He
walked over to another plaque. This one said BE WARNED, ONE CAN ONLY BE REVIVED ONCE. "Okay then."
He walked to a pedistal that had a sunflower seed on it that seemed to constantly be changing
color. "Like, is that the Rainbow seed?" Sandy asked. "I guess so." "I'll finally get to see
Pashmina again!" Howdy said. William circled it for a while, then stopped and stared at it.
"Yeah, this is definately it." "So how do you make it work?" William just stood there and said
"Bring Pashmina back to life." The Rainbow seed started to glow, and William backed up. Soon
Pashmina was standing there in front of him. "YEAH! IT WORKED!" Yelled Howdy and Dexter. "Pashmina!"
said Stan. Pashmina and William just stared at eachother, both too happy to say anything. They
ran foward and hugged eachother, crying tears of joy. "It's moments like these that bring a tear
to my eye..." Boss said, also crying. Soon they started to disapear again, William and Pashmina
not caring where they were going, as long as they were together...

William and the others reappeared in the Ham ham clubhouse. The Ham hams ran over to them.
"You did it!" Yelled Cappy. "OOKYOO!" Penelope ran up to Pashmina and hugged her. "I missed you
too, Penelope! I missed you all!" "And William defeated X!" Boss yelled. "So everything's alright
again?" Asked Panda. "For now, yes. But I have a bad feeling..." All of the Ham hams looked at
William. "Heke? What do you mean? You beat X, didn't you?" "Yeah, but when you really think about it,
for every enemy there is, there's one that's even stronger."

"It's to bad you have to go home." William said. He was walking Pashmina home. He would never
let her go home alone again, after what had happened. "It just doesn't seem like we had enough time
together since you've come back." "I know, but June must miss me. I don't want her to get upset."
"Yeah, you're right. I'll pick you up here tomorrow, then." "Yeah." They came to June's house,
and Pashmina kissed him. "You were really good up on that hill." "Huh?" "I saw the whole thing.
Remember what I told you?" "Yeah. Nothing is more powerful than love. Those are words I'll live
by for the rest of my life." "And don't you forget it! Bye-Q!" William watched as she climbed
up the drain pipe and disapeared from view. He turned back and started walking towards the clubhouse,
unaware of the eyes watching him from a tree.
Not much longer now, William, thought the cloaked figure. I've seen your fighting style, and now
I know what to expect. You won't be a challenge. Even with your so-called "power of love" you
won't be able to defeat me. Why? Let's just say I know more about you than you think. I'll keep
away for now, but soon I'll strike. SOON.
